I was given a Singer 500A. Everything works perfectly, except the bobbin rewind, which means I can’t use it because no other machine has bobbins that size.
That’s crazy my bobbin rewind is out too! The bobbin was already loaded when I got it. Hopefully I can get around to fixing it soon. Must have been a common problem.
You can still thread /wind your Singer bobbin on another machine. Most household machines are capable of winding bobbins for other machines. The center bobbin holes should be the same size. Plan B-- they do sell external bobbin winders, lots of people use them. Hope this helps. 🙂
