If your coming back to this, it means your aware of Toriyama's passing. It hurts. Alot. I prayed that it would never come to this, but I guess fate desired it to happen the most. I know he inspired others as he did me. Man, watching dragon ball was so...idek guys. Seeing people fight and push themselves to be stronger and overcome their weaknesses showed me so much. The fights were cool and all, but the messages that Toriyama sent through that screen will never be forgotten. Us as dragon ball fans, need to be strong in this current moment, in hoped of prayer that he made in in those pearly gates. So let us all listen to this ost in honor of his passing. The goat. The og. The one who started it all.

Most of my childhood friends whom I shared this story with have since passed... I think about how much my little cousin would have loved to have seen how much Vegeta has grown... I still remember the day we first watched Gohan defeat Cell and how happy he was when Vegeta came out of nowhere and distracted Cell... I carry on that love with me though. I just really wish they would have seen this.

This is my #2 scene in ALL of Anime. Only beaten out by the fight that was Gogeta vs Broly.
Bro same the first time I saw this scene especially with the perfect ost was legendary man and the way he tried to stop friezas ball just wow… speaks volumes.

DBS: Broly was truly a love-letter to all Dragon Ball fans. The comedy, the sadness, the battles, the lore, and the spirit of Goku befriending his foes is ALL present in this movie. On top of that, the animation was an absolute feast. Super Hero was MUCH better than I think most people expected it to be, but DBS Broly was peak Dragon Ball. We were spoiled rotten, and now the bar is so high, it will be a hell of a treat to see if it's surpassed.
Broly suffered from Super being Super. I loved the beginning of the movie, minus the saiyans using guns, and all the bits with Broly in it were great.
It's just a shame that it happened in the Super timeline, where Goku and Vegeta are god-tier in power yet randoms who did nothing but punch bugs somehow can not only equal but surpass them. It obliterates your suspension of disbelief, unless you're a weirdo who likes Super.

Seems Saiyans don't have any instinctual attachment to their families according to Vegeta and OG Bardock. Gine was the odd ball in her emotions and human-like attachment/love. Bardock learned that from her but Vegeta and King Vegeta only gave a crap about one another because of their royal legacy.

Never hated Frieza so much, not just for nearly wiping out all the Saiyans, but for almost making me cry in front of my confused girlfriend in the theater.
You don't have to be ashamed of that. That's just you, feeling emotions and being touch about it. That makes you a healthy person and women love men who are secure about expressing their true feelings.

When I received the news about our legends passing, for some reason I immidiately thought of this song. It was like the one man that had a huge impact on my life just vanished. RIP to the man that inspired generations, Akira Toriyama.
Manga chapter 82.. seeing Goku remember was little me remembering why I love Dragonball so much. I remember when I was a little kid, maybe 6-7 watching the first time dragonball in TV, with my sister and trying to do the Kamehameha or turning ssj. I remember when life was less stressful like right now and my biggest problem was being on time when the new episode dropped. My childhood came back in chapter 82, like goku saw his parents, heard bardocks voice the time. Thanks for everything and thanks for making my 26 years old self remember..

In this one, Bardock didn't have a supernatural vision of his son killing Frieza. It was just him, fighting a losing battle to protect the Saiyan race, to protect Gine.
When Goku was asked what his name was. His answer: "Son Goku. Or...Kakarott" I got them feels because he finally is using the name Bardock and Gine gave him.

This movie makes it absolutely clear, Bardock was a soft saiyan, a unique case, while Goku still has a saiyan mind even after living for decades on Earth, he couod destroy the universe just for getting a good fight, that's what saiyans are all about, and yet people hate that mindset on Goku but love it on Bardock, hypocresy.

@@Dexuz Bardock loves odds stacked against him, but still fights for what he believes in much more consistently. He didn't fight frieza for the fun of it, it was to save/avenge his people. While Goku fights for similar reasons, there's always some catalyst. Krillin being exploded, ChiChi and Goten being killed by Goku Black (Which he gets over quite quickly), and etc. Not to mention Goku helps his enemies to fight them again like Vegeta even though he and Nappa killed so many innocent people, or some other reason like giving Cell a Senzu Bean when the whole planet and his son's life, more importantly, was on the line. Bardock has a similar fighting spirit, yes. However, he doesn't make the at times dumb decisions Goku makes. Yes saving or avenging his people could be labeled as a catalyst, but Bardock always had the mentality of belief first, while Goku doesn't.

Sadly, Goku never cares about his planet and race. No body tells the story of how his father is the reason he is alive and how badass he is and a hero to his race by defending planet vegeta ALONE. So yeah... Sad but Goku didn't feel anything about his parents and race because he don't know anything about them therefore he never cared to wish them back alive... :(

Everybody was complaining that they made Bardock irrelevant in the new movie and made him soft,even before the movie's release.But then they all finally understood that he is still as badass as he was before.😄

As soon as I saw Bardock standing alone against Frieza my heart literally exploded.
Like thank you Toryama, thank you Toei, for remembering the TV special and pretty much showing us through his bandana that it still happened.
Bardock trying to stop Frieza, was always in the story, when Frieza remembered him in the flashback, it was added in the manga.

Me encantó como Toriyama dejó al personaje de Bardock, siendo más humano apreciando a su familia y peleando por su raza al final de todo, me conmoví mucho en esa escena
El problema es que Bardock no es humano, Bardock es un sayayin y el Bardock de antes actuaba como un Sayayin
@@elrincondeunoutsider.8029 que la toei animation lo haya hecho ver como un tipo sin corazon por su hijo no tenia sentido, hasta el rey vegeta tiene actitud de sayayin y aun asi queria a su hijo. Incluso si te vas a poner a favor de la Toei, recuerda que paragus si queria a broly y lo trato de proteger... Así que no hay argumento, de decir eso es actitud de sayayin, porque la Toei fue la que nos metió en la cabeza que los Sayayin son así. Y no me pongas de ejemplo a Vegeta o Raditz que siempre se mostró que fue vegeta el que dirigía (incluso en los rellenos )
Pero lo malo es que nos acostumbramos al Bardock antiguo :'v
