Good evening doc. I sent a cold email to a professor at a US university, asking if there's an opening for MSc students. He said no, but mentioned that he would have for PhD students. Should I go for it? I only have a bachelor's degree.
GO FOR IT!!!
@@scholarshipscafe thanks doc... Do I need to reply him that I'm interested in the PhD position or just kick start the application process? Although he said that a student needs to be admitted first and then assigned to a group.

Hi Doc..
Do UBC offer postdoctoral fellowship related to solar/renewable energy and thermal energy storage??
Thanks
Kindly reach out to Professors in your field for that. Cheers!
I’ve a question sir. I graduated with Second class lower grade and I’m struggling to get any school that’ll accept me . What’s your advice to me?
Try the UK, China, Korea, Japan et al
Thanks Doc,
Please sir, can I have your email address for the review of my documents
Also sir, I am a graduate of electrical and electronics engineering, I had my final year research topic on ''human identification using dental radiograph''. I had a year work experience on renewable energy (energy storage and solar system installation).
Please sir, can I write a cold email to professors under Energy Production and Storage.
If yes, how do I go about it without been affected by my undergraduate research topic.
Thank you for you support
Thank you doc!!
Sir, do I need to contact a supervisor first before applying
Sure!
Hi Doc,
Can one apply for a PhD with just a BSc to schools in Canada?
Yes, for Chemistry in UBC!
Thanks Dr . A quick question, how do one navigate around the “statement of account “, because I can pay for the program maybe part , but some university require $28000 to be in a statement of account. Is there a way out?
Talk to the graduate admission office

Thanks doc, your cold mail format works well, after getting a positive response from a prof to apply for a PhD program, is it wise to select a second choice program ?
Stick with the Prof, please. Cheers!
