WOW!!! After watching this I intend on immediately volunteering with Foster Care in my community as a Grandmother/baby sitter (I’m a Widow & 70 years old)!!! By the way, my husband and I adopted our daughter when she was 6 days old … Jesse Moriah (means a Gift provided byJehovah) is 36 years old now, enjoys a wonderful marriage and has two beautiful children … 16 and 6 years old. I have had 35 children going through my home. At the age of 55 I signed up for place of safety and have 7 children in foster care. I am now 75 years old and my 6 foster Kids that stayed with me have been with me since birth. They are now 20, 17, and 16 years old. They are like my own children. Love them to bits even though we are not the same color skin.

I wish I would have known at sixty two I could have Foster or adopted a grade schooler. I was afraid partly that I might not passed the test … because I wasn’t very good at testing in school. I did foster and adopted one of my grandchildren and she is the best. If your a good parent or person find out if you fit. Retired, your home and can enjoy being a parent because I understand they help you get started if you ask enough questions, food, clothing, a fun place to visit after school with good food. You would enjoy having a great family life… going places together. Saving for special occasions the both of you can enjoy.

My siblings and I were in foster homes since I was 4 years old, from 1954 to 1964. Not all the foster parents were nice, some were abusive. Our last foster family was the best, my siblings and I were there for 4 or 5 years and they showed us love and what a real family is. I thank God for them. My husband and I were also foster parents in 1975 to 1980. I am happy that there are loving foster parents out there and it seems the foster system has gotten better (hopefully) since I was a child. I am now 73, single and disabled so i can no longer be a foster parent. I would if i was able to

I became a youth Pastor, and as a houseparent for Teen Challenge I was blessed to be an example to children 8-18 that grew up with various forms of abuse. Yes, I loved that too. He will always be Hercules to me! I had the privilege of meeting Kevin in 2009, a darling of a gentleman. I guess his strength is now used to make a stand for God through his words, his movies and his ability to share a simple message with strangers.

Be careful. Pray before jumping into foster care. There is still so much to be changed within the system. An abused child should not have to deal with constantly going back to the abusive parent or step parent. Reunification is a horrible goal in certain situations and places the child, the loving, caring foster parents and those who truly want to adopt into an emotional roller coaster. The adoptive and foster care system still needs many changes so these children can have a loving family without worrying where they will be ordered to move to next.

Excellent movie! Lay Crisis Counselor/ First Responder 45 yrs/ Foster/Adopt parent/grandparent 25 yrs. There is no gift like the gift of life! Teaching them how to fish so they can feed themselves for a lifetime! Unconditional Love heals many wounds! And many hands make light work! Any & all support helps, whether a friend & a cup of coffee, a babysitter, a load of laundry, help with finances, or getting fully involved, it is never easy but always worth the journey! Took years, blood sweat & many tears to get my girl's safe, but now they are, & beautiful grown women! 1 of my birth son's also became a Foster Parent! My elder sister had to give up her children to protect them from a very abusive Dad. Only thing that kept her alive was waiting to see them again! The greatest gift a Mom can give is life, whether with her, or finding a better situation for them! That is truly unconditional love! You never forget for a min, & you pray for them 24/7/365! They never leave your heart!

Galatians 4:5-7
Romans 8:14-19.

I loved this movie! I happened upon it by accident, but you know how God works. I've been involved in a conference this week for homeschool moms, and I was talking about how important families are and how we can shape and strengthen society by building strong families one at a time. My heart breaks for the kids who end up in foster care. My husband and I have no home of our own right now, and we have 10 children of our own. But at some point I can see us fostering or adopting. The judge said it all comes down to love, and that's exactly what I said during one of our sessions today. So many confirmations in this movie that God is speaking through me.

This movie was so enjoyable to watch.Took me back when My 2. Sisters would sing "Yes Jesus loves me " looking at the moon. We were fostered .I was the ypungest. 2,3 &4 .We went back to our mom ages 10,11 &12. 4 different foster homes.My uncle & aunt fostered us. & I wrote him a poem before he died about taking us in with 3 children of their own He had tears in his eyes.He walked me down the aisle when I got married.This was a movie about God , Love & Family. Great movie! I was particularly touched by the character Tabatha, the young woman who had to give up her baby. You could tell she was so heartbroken! The actress who played that part, Chanel Moore, did an excellent job portraying that heartbreak and agony! This is an excellent movie, and started me thinking about supporting foster parents or adoptive parents by being a babysitter, so they can have a night out.

I'm retired now, but I spent more than 40 years as a volunteer in numerous different ways. Fostered also prior to having children myself. Pertaining to your commentary, I too enjoyed immensely giving free childcare, babysitting, and started an after school group to reduce 'latch key' children. A snack, help with homework, and using time to do fun things ... like planting seeds. I have no regrets, except I've become too old to still do it 😔. I pray you're blessed by Jesus and His love.

I was a forever , since my Birth day, a foster child. Adoption meant taking me on financially, and that was a added burden. I was molested early in age by the guardians. And became a statistic by being pregnant at 15. I kept my daughter, yet I look back and feel she needed and was worthy of more. I failed her. She has 4 and 1 on the way, homeschooling and a wonderful mom to all of them. With Yahweh, any thing is possible.

I adopted my son when he was 20 days born! I love since day one! He 34 years old, very hard worker! He continue to this day been my big boy!
Timely and we as Christians we need to be spreading love to all. Even the girl heading to the clinic. Show her love, compassion and options, that might be all she needs to change her mind. Many go childless when they have more love than money, that can change too if we worked together. God bless.

I raised amongst other children most my life my mom was an orphan and fostered many children and since involve with children in care been on this committee even after early retirement in Social Services children are precious

This had me crying 😢. I was adopted and my parents were great until my adopted mom remarried. I also had my son taken away by my parents at 3 weeks old and I don’t get to see him. I tried looking for my birth parents but I can’t find them. I do know I have an older brother and I haven’t found him either. And when my mom remarried, abuse started happening to me for 7 years. So, this movie touched me in a lot of places in my 37 years of life.

Laura said her adopted mom stopped caring about her when the adopted mom remarried. She was abused, and her adoptive parents took away her own baby. Sadly, being a parent of any kind is not a guarantee that children's basic needs will be met--including love. It really does take a village to raise a child, sometimes--and this movie's extended church community was that village.

I'm a live in grandma, Baker, taxi , story teller, hug giver, and am standby for the next need here in my daughter's house with her and two, my granchidren a girl17, and a boy8, whom I was nanny granny for his first 1 1/2 yrs. They were a navy family now retired and I over the years have been where I was needed for her and my oldest daughter. I've been single most of my being in service to others and God has blessed me beyond my imagination thru my life . I could write volumes on so many topics of life experience, and the myriad of miracles in my life.
Thank you for this heart touching movie. My son and wife fostered for a number of years and those babies are so in need of love , good nutrition , and personal care. They need to feel worthy, and only love and positive reassurance with God's help they can learn to love.

Beautiful movie. I was able to watch during Hurricane Ian 🌀
I always wanted to foster but in CA they made it so hard to do with all the paperwork and requirements.
Been in Florida for 12 years and these 2 teen siblings just fell in my lap, mother deceased whom I knew, and dad arrested. It's the least I could do....for their moms wishes I knew she would want me to take them in.
Unfortunately the system here has not help at all financially and I have had them 8 months in October.
Anyway, the movie was heartwarming and inspiring to motivate people to help these kids. 😊 I am passing it on.

THIS was an amazing movie - thoroughly enjoyed it. I have two adopted children now grown into middle aged adults and one whangai daughter (means foster child). When me and my husband adopted our children, I was adamant that I get to know who their parents were. Because I knew later in their lives, they will want to find their real parents to get answers for themselves, and I was right.
They have known their parents since they were about 10-11 years old. The most important thing about our relationships with our adopted children is for them to know that we LOVED them very much but that they must also LOVE their own parent regardless and make an effort to accept the past of their birth and have a relationship with their real parent as well, and they did just that.
Real relationships make it a better world for all. If we take time out to foster or adopt a child the world would be a better place where there is TRUE LOVE is GOD in ACTION. So Be It!!!

The part where Kevin Sorbo is talking to the preacher about hypocrites really hit me. Our town (a town of 500) has 7 churches. We watched all of them for 10 years. A friend asked us to go to her church which was Presbyterian. We did. It was amazing to see the mafia from our town went to that church. We didn't go back. We had planned to visit all the churches in town to see what the best fit for us was. We were actually asked to NOT come to one church. We did visit the Methodist church and that is where we landed. They welcomed us with open arms.
