hahaha DCfans just can't deal with the fact that general audiences and critics haven't liked the DCEU so far, except WW, and the funny thing is, those same DC fans who Worship the DCEU don't like WW for some reason. Maybe they are butt hurt that a movie who isn't as pretentious as BvS is the one praised by people, and their "masterpiece" of deep intelligence is the one that is hated. While ignoring that the most philosophically intelligent and dark DC movie of all time is the one that is most praised by all (The Dark Knight).

There was literally a montage of people THANKING them at the end of "The Avengers", even though they arguably bore more responsibility for the destruction of New York than Superman did for the destruction in Metropolis. If you watch his fight with Zod closely, he never actually punches Zod through a building. In fact, he throws Zod into space; into frackin' space to try to get him away from a populated area.

I did enjoy suicide squad and i TOTALY agree that jared leto was a good joker... for the time he was on the movie. The way he served as a side villain was what disappointed me. leeazo it's basically the fact that it's four movies in and they mainly focused on their Trinity instead of giving movies to the flash who still won't have a film until maybe 2020. Aquaman and Cyborg should have been introduced earlier to know the characters before the essential team up, these are some of the most well known characters of all time, yet their introduction so far was in a minute long clip on a laptop.
But the Avengers was made after Iron Man, Thor and Captain America (and arguably Hulk) had already had their individual origin movies and SHIELD and Black Widow had already been introduced. With Justice League we have one Superman movie, one shaky SupsBats movie and one Wonder Woman movie. And Superman is "dead", so the only member of the JL that we know up close is Wonder Woman (we know Batman's parents died and he's dark and broody, period). DC rushed too much into it, didn't let its characters breathe and thus is giving the audience not a lot of motivation to care about this team of heroes
My main problem with the Justice League movie is that it doesn't seem to star JLA mainstay Martian Manhunter. Guy's been in almost *EVERY* incarnation of the League so far as a core member.

Other way around actually. At least in the comics and the majority of their respective run (unless you count the discontinued Vertigo universe). Though, they're very broad. Currently, DC has darker films and very lighthearted comics and tv shows.

yeah audiences and critics loved the Nolan trilogy, and that was even darker in themes that bvs. I hate that both sides are arguing about it being too dark, while the problems are undeveloped characters, disrespect to the characters in general, bad storytelling, way too much JESUS and just making them to play catch up and for money. WW wasn't quippy it hadn't the trademark Marvel comic relief. It had people who, like people IRL, also have a sense of humor, but it didn't shy away from genuine angst, war and human suffering. Way more emotionally compelling than Marvel and people loved it.

Batman killed people a long time ago, but that's not the Batman that we know now. Superman was originally bald and evil, but that's not the Superman we know now. You can criticize creative decisions before seeing if they work out. I can still tell my friend that he probably shouldn't jump in front of a bus before he gets hit. As for tone, no one is saying that DC *can't* be dark, but it has to be done right. Most people didn't ask to see Superman mope around and run away from all of his problems. Rick Sanchez Batman killed prior to being censored by the Comics Code Authority back then- giving us for decades the campy incarnation as reflected in the 60s TV Series. And Batman has been known to kill again starting in the 80s with The Dark Knight Returns. As well Batman's killed onscreen before. It's just that recent versions (ie The Dark Knight films, The Animated Series) that didn't kill are just some popularized versions. .

I have (one of my favorite books actually). He wasn't as twitchy, manic, and over-the-top. He did have long hair and a short temperament (younger years) however, but that's about the extent of their similarities. BR Lex was closer to classic Lex; Charismatic, almost likable, and keeps a lid on his emotions.

The biggest DC movie blunder was releasing the theatrical cut of "Batman v Superman" instead of the Ultimate Edition. Seriously, $873 million is great, but if they'd released a version that more people liked, then they'd have made more. Not to mention, the freakout at WB over reactions to BvS is what led to them messing around with "Suicide Squad". The ripple effects are immeasurable. Even if they'd released the UE at the same time as the theatrical edition, it would have helped substantially.
Is the DCEU a little unnecessarily dark? Yes. But up until Wonder Woman, we only had one director in charge of the whole thing. Or, well, there was a different one for Suicide Squad, but considering the focus on a team of bad guys, he probably tried mimicking Snyder's dark tone to a degree. Only when Jenkins came in was there a balance between light and dark elements. (Or maybe a lack of dark elements because of Diana's innocence when it came to the "world of man".) But, if the DCEU copied Marvel's fun, light atmosphere from the beginning, everyone would complain that they were ripping them off. So now you all complain it's too dark. Can you guys ever be pleased? While it can go a little too dark - I guess we should be grateful Snyder isn't handling The Batman solo film(s) because that would probably be way darker than BvS or even Nolan's trilogy - I think that darkness in the DCEU is one of its strengths. It makes it different than the campy films that came before it. I really prefer Man of Steel to those older Superman films because it's so grounded in the real world. And BvS had a lot of religious symbolism and questions about morals, which I found very intriguing. So I think the DCEU has been great so far, though I do look forward to what's in store for the franchise in the future with Aquaman and Shazam coming next year.
I am a Detective Comics fan (DC) and I belive rushing Justice Leage should be number one on this list because they are introducing Cyborg, The Flash, Aquaman, the Mera, parademons, S.T.A.R. Labs, and more in only one movie, plus a story. I like the JLA but I will not watch this film at theaters because WB just wants money not fans.

To be fair, I can understand why they went with a darker tone in Batman vs. Superman, because the Batman fans would have cried foul if they tried to make the film overly light-hearted. Man of Steel definitely felt like it was trying way too hard to be edgy, though.

I honestly think number one made the DCEU pretty good. It's the new visual effects that were added in later films that kind of got me disappointed. The new effects just made it look like another Marvel movie, while the visual effects in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman was amazing, like zoom effects.

I agree with Superman not being a light hearted boy scout and Batman's killing spree, but the darkness of the Universe is a way to separate them from the MCU. Doing things that Marvel (MCU) wouldn't even dare to do on screen for the sake of their child viewers. I think they will adjust the tone moving forward a bit too.

There was literally a montage of people THANKING them at the end of "The Avengers", even though they arguably bore more responsibility for the destruction of New York than Superman did for the destruction in Metropolis. If you watch his fight with Zod closely, he never actually punches Zod through a building. In fact, he throws Zod into space; into frackin' space to try to get him away from a populated area.

Why is the tone of the DCEU considered more of a blunder than ANYTHING from Batman and Robin? That's insane.
Because dark doesn't necessarily equal good. That is some bullshit because being light like Marvel doesn't necessarily equal good also. People want Batman making jokes and Superman be the perfect Superhero like in the comics and cartoons instead of a complex character that will build to the Superman we know and love. Sorry for the rant but everyone criticizes DC but never Marvel. To be honest Marvel has become bland and after rewatching their movies a 2nd or 3rd time you can see they don't hold up. However Winter Soldier, GOTG, and Iron Man holds up while others are bad, mediocre, or good but not as good when you first saw it.

So the Justice League Movie was bad because the Justice League was formed "too early"? Seriously, Watchmojo!? It's like watching a Rocky Movie and complaining that they alway boxing. It was the Title of the freaking movie.
leeazo it's basically the fact that it's four movies in and they mainly focused on their Trinity instead of giving movies to the flash who still won't have a film until maybe 2020. Aquaman and Cyborg should have been introduced earlier to know the characters before the essential team up, these are some of the most well known characters of all time, yet their introduction so far was in a minute long clip on a laptop.

But the Avengers was made after Iron Man, Thor and Captain America (and arguably Hulk) had already had their individual origin movies and SHIELD and Black Widow had already been introduced. With Justice League we have one Superman movie, one shaky SupsBats movie and one Wonder Woman movie. And Superman is "dead", so the only member of the JL that we know up close is Wonder Woman (we know Batman's parents died and he's dark and broody, period). DC rushed too much into it, didn't let its characters breathe and thus is giving the audience not a lot of motivation to care about this team of heroes

yeah audiences and critics loved the Nolan trilogy, and that was even darker in themes that bvs. I hate that both sides are arguing about it being too dark, while the problems are undeveloped characters, disrespect to the characters in general, bad storytelling, way too much JESUS and just making them to play catch up and for money.
WW wasn't quippy it hadn't the trademark Marvel comic relief. It had people who, like people IRL, also have a sense of humor, but it didn't shy away from genuine angst, war and human suffering. Way more emotionally compelling than Marvel and people loved it.

Batman killed people a long time ago, but that's not the Batman that we know now. Superman was originally bald and evil, but that's not the Superman we know now. You can criticize creative decisions before seeing if they work out. I can still tell my friend that he probably shouldn't jump in front of a bus before he gets hit. As for tone, no one is saying that DC *can't* be dark, but it has to be done right. Most people didn't ask to see Superman mope around and run away from all of his problems. Rick Sanchez Batman killed prior to being censored by the Comics Code Authority back then- giving us for decades the campy incarnation as reflected in the 60s TV Series. And Batman has been known to kill again starting in the 80s with The Dark Knight Returns. As well Batman's killed onscreen before. It's just that recent versions (ie The Dark Knight films, The Animated Series) that didn't kill are just some popularized versions.

I have (one of my favorite books actually). He wasn't as twitchy, manic, and over-the-top. He did have long hair and a short temperament (younger years) however, but that's about the extent of their similarities. BR Lex was closer to classic Lex; Charismatic, almost likable, and keeps a lid on his emotions.

The biggest DC movie blunder was releasing the theatrical cut of "Batman v Superman" instead of the Ultimate Edition. Seriously, $873 million is great, but if they'd released a version that more people liked, then they'd have made more. Not to mention, the freakout at WB over reactions to BvS is what led to them messing around with "Suicide Squad". The ripple effects are immeasurable. Even if they'd released the UE at the same time as the theatrical edition, it would have helped substantially.

Is the DCEU a little unnecessarily dark? Yes. But up until Wonder Woman, we only had one director in charge of the whole thing. Or, well, there was a different one for Suicide Squad, but considering the focus on a team of bad guys, he probably tried mimicking Snyder's dark tone to a degree. Only when Jenkins came in was there a balance between light and dark elements. (Or maybe a lack of dark elements because of Diana's innocence when it came to the "world of man".)
But, if the DCEU copied Marvel's fun, light atmosphere from the beginning, everyone would complain that they were ripping them off. So now you all complain it's too dark. Can you guys ever be pleased?
While it can go a little too dark - I guess we should be grateful Snyder isn't handling The Batman solo film(s) because that would probably be way darker than BvS or even Nolan's trilogy - I think that darkness in the DCEU is one of its strengths. It makes it different than the campy films that came before it. I really prefer Man of Steel to those older Superman films because it's so grounded in the real world. And BvS had a lot of religious symbolism and questions about morals, which I found very intriguing. So I think the DCEU has been great so far, though I do look forward to what's in store for the franchise in the future with Aquaman and Shazam coming next year.
I am a Detective Comics fan (DC) and I belive rushing Justice Leage should be number one on this list because they are introducing Cyborg, The Flash, Aquaman, the Mera, parademons, S.T.A.R. Labs, and more in only one movie, plus a story.
I like the JLA but I will not watch this film at theaters because WB just wants money not fans.
Carsen Crans plus the casts aren't good for most of the people playing them I'm not buying whoever plays flash and the batman cast of Ben is awful in my opinion

Honestly I did like the CGI effects in Green Lantern. They showed that the power of the ring was more than just a green laser. the real problem with the movie was giving Hal Jordan that bad man child personality.
I don't think Jesse was bad in BvS. In real life, no person with any kind of sence would think Superman is the devil or so. If anything about him was bad though it is because of the script

To be fair, I can understand why they went with a darker tone in Batman vs. Superman, because the Batman fans would have cried foul if they tried to make the film overly light-hearted. Man of Steel definitely felt like it was trying way too hard to be edgy, though.

Alfred even spells it out in the movie. Hearing the word Martha took him back to the time he lost his mother and he envisioned his current actions no better than the criminal that killed his parents.
Djrobinv I realize that he was wrong headed in trying to kill superman. my point is that while no amount of solid counsel from Alfred could sway him... or superman's own reasoning with him.. hearing that one word "martha" is what snapped him out of it

I honestly think number one made the DCEU pretty good. It's the new visual effects that were added in later films that kind of got me disappointed. The new effects just made it look like another Marvel movie, while the visual effects in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman was amazing, like zoom effects.

Batman , Superman, Wonder Woman now all have origin stories. EVERYONE FUCKING KNOWS BATMAN AND SUPERMAN. Those are the main 3. The Flash is well known and has a show to which you can see his origin story the only ones who really need one are Cyborg and Aquaman.

I agree with Superman not being a light hearted boy scout and Batman's killing spree, but the darkness of the Universe is a way to separate them from the MCU. Doing things that Marvel (MCU) wouldn't even dare to do on screen for the sake of their child viewers. I think they will adjust the tone moving forward a bit too.
