I so enjoy these guys. They are so informative and generous in sharing their passion and appreciation for Danish design. Love too that I no longer mispronounce designers names.
This was one of your most interesting videos - I suppose volatile/unlucky people make for the most interesting biographies? ..... thank you! x ( & kudos to Andreas for his shirt)
Regarding Chris (Christen) Sørensen fleeing to Canada... In the 1960s, Sørensen designed a few pieces for the Montreal-based manufacturer Ebena-Lasalle (a company he also managed for a time). Some of the pieces were used in 3 pavilions at Expo 67 (the 1967 International and Universal Exposition) in Montreal... including an interesting split-seat upholstered swivel chair, which has come to be known as the "Expo Chair." I am lucky enough to have acquired one. The chair is also on display at the Museum of Fine Arts in Quebec City. I'm not sure I can post links here but I have photos of it on my Instagram...
I had no idea that Panton copied his design! Not sure if it was Kjaerholm that used Allen screws first, because they are also used on the Wassily chair. The way he used them as part of the design instead of sinking them into the frame might have been a new idea for furniture.
I love Poul Kjaerholm, could listen episodes about him for hours, the gently way he treated steel in its purity is art to me, thank you so much

Great video of the PK N furniture! :)
Thank you.
I once found 4 PK11 chairs at the trash underneath an upside down old Ikea sofa. Luckily i recognized the legs xD
