Maybe the giants are promising both ohtani and Yamamoto they're trying to bring them both to sanfrancisco and that's the selling point. The key is both these fellow countrymen on the same staff might be enough to get them both signed.
I can't imagine any serious Giants fan being mad at getting only Yamamoto, when all is said and done the guy might very well end up being the best player/deal of this free agency. I'm not getting my hopes up though, Susan's report could mean nothing just like a year ago the report she made about Giants players getting excited because Judge was getting closer was bs
The bigger issue is the farm system. Giants have been snake bitten since the 2015 International draft. Yes, Doval signed that year, but Lucious Fox for $6M, yikes! Could have Vlad Jr + Soto + Tatis Jr and still had money to spare. You can't contend if you aren't pumping out not just average guys, but above average players to star players out of your system.
Picture of them dressing nice? What do you expect them to wear? Adidas tracksuits? You work for an organization worth like over $3.5 billion dollars. You should be ALWAYS dressing nice!
As soon as I saw the Instagram thing I though that's meaningless cause that kind of stuff has been happening for years between Nba players and when two players follow each other they never end up on the same team, this is probably the same
Only two executives believe the Giants have the upper edge out of 15 teams? And Slusser is too optimistic all the time. I remember last year she was still singing the praises of the Giants just a short while before they fell out of playoff contention. Personally, I think the Mets will get him, but I could be wrong.
There is no reason for Yamamoto to favor the Giants. If we had our old pitching staff, I would point to that. Maybe the ballpark dimensions, but you play half the games away. Maybe it's a low key press city, but you still will have Japanese reporters. Must be...the opt outs. Farhan is going overboard with the opt outs. 9 year contract for $225M with opt outs on year 3, 5, 7. That's my guess.
your points on half the games being away (50%^ games being at home is literally a lot), and Japanese reporters (Japanese reporters will come no matter what)make no sense to me imo. Price is one of the most well respected pitching coaches in the game. Opt outs, okay, probably. Anyways, I heard the Giants have been one of the most aggressive in pursuing/scouting Yamamoto for years, other teams don't know him as well as the Giants. The Giants scouted him before he was well known. Not guaranteeing Yamamoto or Ohtani being the favorites, but I the giants could offer more money than any other team. They would offer them the opportunity to build the team's identity and turn around the whole franchise back to glory, their talent is that good, plus they'll have more power as the franchise guy. Need more pieces along with either to be real contenders though.
@@km-lr7wj Logan Webb's home-away splits are very close to each other. Opponent's OBP is about the same. Opponent's OPS is slightly worse at home (slight park advantage). I just think the ballpark isn't that much of a factor anymore. Gausman went to the Blue Jays and still was lights out. I think the park helps some of the marginal pitchers more than the high end ones. Doval's numbers are way better at home, but that has more to do with his SO / W ratio. And, dimensions don't matter for that. Part of Ohtani's reasoning for the Angels was he didn't want a high profile media team ie Yankees / Dodgers. SF fans and media are pretty forgiving and low key. Regardless of the city, he's going to have Japanese media following him. The Japanese press will probably be more of a distraction than any local press was my point. That doesn't change with any team.
We aren't getting Ohtani. Focus on Yamamoto idc 12 yr 300m. Get Yamamoto, get Lee or Belli (Lee will be a lot cheaper), and if they still want go get Chapman, go get him, in that order. After that I would be happy, but if the Giants still want to do more, go trade for Alonso, or trade for Glasnow or Bieber.
More pitchers, NO HITTERS!!! Another lame off-season coming, and we will be lucky just to get Bellinger and that's it. Not near enough to compete. Who would believe silly bubbly bumble head Farhan on anything if you met him? He has a side to him, that is just not serious enough to get anything done...
Things happen. Change happens. This could be the new Team we've been waiting for. And honestly? I'm glad as hell, Kap is gone. Bob is gonna shine the light!
Keep up the good work. Iam a Phillies fan but think you have the best “locked” on show out of everyone.
Ben is bilingual in facts 💯
Facts ben is a G
I’m sorry I can t root for Belliger
Truth. Ben is a savage. Go Giants
Can we get a freaking hitter please?????
Shohei will do
WE're interested in the South Korean CF if that helps.
I can’t seem to find the picture of Zaidi, Melvin and Buster, maybe they got it removed??
They need to sign ohtani and Yamamoto and they can.
Where’s the baseball s in the back ground?
The only consistent hitters were Flores, and Estrada. Team needs to make many tades. WE NEED BATTING POWER!
I wouldn't say estrada was consistent
I'm almost ready to be hurt again.....but not yet. Thank goodness for the Niners' season..

They would be great in SF, but let’s be real…the Giants won’t spend the money.
Shohei and Yoshi will never play for the Giants until Farhan is gone. 🇯🇵
If Ohtani or Yamamoto signed with SF, maybe they'll finally sell Sushi and Ramen at the ball park.

dont let some good players go by just waiting on one player what happen last year learn from last year
Yamamoto is following Aaron judge. The only mlb player he’s following.
Yes, I have heard him linked to both New York teams. I know the Mets are hard after him.
Oops
Let's get this ship righted.
An Outfielder, a DH and a lights out flame thrower, fresh in the mix!
And I'm hoping that Lee is that outfielder. Unless they trade for a young stud. I'm a little shy about Bellinger

Your new home is looking nice but kinda empty. Look forward to see how you decorate it

Lets hope for some great news in the next couple of days. But Tuesdays would be nice.
C'mon. Teams play possum all of the time. There's absolutely no reason to believe Farhan has made any progress with anyone or anything.
Fleming was on Kalakami show also a week ago, and so his "something might happen as soon as this week" hasn't happened lol
Gettum both...but don't tell anybody...until the checks are cashed.
Sign both!!!!
Dreaming about Kruk three big deals:
Ohtani, Yamamoto, Lee
Then reality kicks in:
Chapman, Kiermaier, Eduardo Rodriguez
Farhan definitely lying to his family too...lol
Yamamoto Hoskins and Lee and we might have somethin heading into 24. Also, Slusser is terrible.
Can we ACTIVELY get other FAs to sign?
Tired of the NON NEWS!!
Don't waste time. Get us some help!

We do need a DH also but don’t worry Farhan has said we are going after pitching
(I like Glasnow a lot)
He also has lied numerous times.
@@NoWayOut55 Really? He could not even manage the Padres into the playoffs last year. And the Giants roster is a lot worse than the Padres.
That's about all we'll get....@@Zachrdoodle
