A subject close to my heart. Born completely blind in April of 1889, my great grandmother seemed to have discovered extra-sensory sight on her own. My parents said that people could not tell she was blind. She would walk around the family's farm, fetching water, gathering eggs, tending to the animals, washing, cooking, cleaning. When my dad first met her (she was alone, cooking in her kitchen), he was unaware for some time that she was blind. No one informed him. He slowly caught on, noticing that her eyes seemed to be looking elsewhere. Being very mischievous, my dad started testing her. She caught him in seconds. From the mid 1910's, she ran a farm-based home and raised 6 children without any extra help. In itself, that's a miracle.

In the documentary “Superhuman: The Invisible Made Visible (2020)” that I just watched the children can full-on read books with their mask on. They see the room as if they had no mask on.
It doesn’t work from the theory of a “dermo-optical” or seeing via the skin either because they can do it from other rooms (Wendy intuitive sight on UA-cam gives examples of this). In several different countries in this Superhuman documentary kids had learned these abilities. Your great grandmother obviously had this gift (gift, in that sense she didn’t need help learning it). I’m picturing her just like these kids.
The Russians who studied this ability noted the optical processing regions of the brain are not used for this ability. The front or front right of the brain is used. It works via our consciousness; from our awareness. You let it happen. It’s more of a passive ability or frame of mind; frame of being. Trusting your intuition is key. If you’ve a lot on your mind or you try too hard you’ll shut it down. I encourage people to watch the Superhuman documentary. Unsure which streaming platform it’s on. There are many fake 1-star reviews for it on IMDb; trust your intuition, right?
Wendy and Rob have UA-cam channels dedicated to this ability of Intuitive Sight. They are one of the best sources of information in this right now on the internet. They have 100s of videos talking about and demonstrating it, and both of them have a few fully, congenitally blind clients they work with, in addition to clients that have waning vision, and clients who have good sight and wear those all-encompassing style blindfolds.

How refreshing and exciting to find a neuroscientist researching this phenomenon which I've studied and written about for years and I must say, totally accept as a reality.
It's easy to fall into the doldrums that nothing will ever banish the stigma against research into anomalies when it's the very thing that will move physics forward exponentially.
But people like Alex give me hope for the future!

But I also lost my interocular lens that was in my left eye from previous tumor fell to back of eye. Surgery to remove messed up so became blind left eye
Found groups on fb that practice this. I can do colors and shapes.takes much meditation and use of right brain. Left brain needs to be kept busy. Keep up the work❤it is true

As Alex started to state, saying that "brain produces mind" is a belief, it's just a guess, because you ask them "And how does brain produce mind?", answer "I don't know". So, any guess is still on the table, and I'd say last studies about consciousness are leaning towards a brain which seems to be part receiver (of that external consciuosness or whatever we want to call it), part processor (of that consciousness, memories, signals from sensors (eyes, ears, etc.), ,.,,).

If there are true blind people that can do this accurately, that’s exactly what we need as a true double blind of proof. Thats huge. Without the internet finding these people to test would almost be impossible. What a time to be alive. It’s also extremely sad that classification of condition has led to the communities judging eachother, or more accurately, being scared of being judged by their own by “ability”. I’ve seen it in every “disability” community to some degree. Terrible human behavior that holds us back, also over classification is having its problems. Like this guy a lot, he really seems to have thought this through, and is just trying to get an acceptance to gain the subjects needed. Awesome stuff.

There’s a documentary called Superhuman from 2020 that has a 15-minute or longer segment focusing on this ability with kids around the world doing it. There are many suspect 1-star reviews for this documentary on IMDb. The documentary seemed to attract many not interested in this subject? My spidey sense tells me some people are trying to suppress information about these abilities reaching the public.

Interesting topic, I stumbled upon a few years ago. I was rather sceptic at first, but I thought maybe that is really possible. I work for a association of blind people and have thought about raising this topic but was afraid, that they would find my proposition rather unappropriate to raise from the standpoint of someone who is not blind and tells people with this condition they just have to develop this faculty. It would be much easier to have some kind of serious information from a mainstream media or scientific journal covering this topic and to let them know it is somehow already proved as a fact.

Fascinating and reassuring. I see lights, colours and forms with my eyes closed since I was a child. I never thought this was a thing, really. It's funny because In a recent blackout night, I showed my teen kid that he could see things with the eyes closed. Darkness is not really darkness. But it's sad that we are trapped in a materialistic world because there is so much more to see and feel. How can the Materialists get evidence of something that is spiritual and unique to an individual? Not repeatable.

  • @sohamsuke

Oh wow, I've done this without knowing people have been doing it.
The 'light' the kids say they can enlarge: for me it's like a tiny star, which opens, becomes bigger and bigger as you focus your attention on it, and then closes very fast if i'm not paying attention to it. It leads to many different places, I can't hold them open for more than 3~5 seconds.
It is very different than remote viewing.

This is super cool! Possible Test: Study Remote Viewers that grew up rural (in the dirt/highly exposed to nature as a baby) vs. RVs from city area (in concrete/rarely grounded to nature) and see if a pattern emerges.
It sounds like you are looking for the tether we loose to the source at around age 3. More natural exposure/drawing/blocks/grounding as a baby may let us keep these abilities after 3. I’m an industrial designer and started drawing from birth…I think that helped me stay creative (also raised in the woods).✌🏼🤔😊

I heard from Mark Ireland that his famous father, a clergyman & psychic medium, was in hospital w/ his eyes completely covered, yet he was able to see. Hospital personnel tested him in various ways, such as standing in the doorway silently. Still he was able to identify him. Dr. Eben Alexander commented when I questioned him about this phenomenon that there is another neural pathway that allows this. I hope this pathway is discussed in this interview. I hope that the third eye is also discussed as a possibility.

My mom read Helen Keller’s biography to me when I was in first grade and she was studying for a degree in speech, hearing and language. We also learned sign language together. Helen Keller was quite an extraordinary woman. I am 62 years old and have thought of her throughout my life for courage and strength. Thinking of her always brought with it the sadness I felt for those children who did not have the situation that provided Helen with doctors, Annie and, a life of learning, exploring the spiritual and writing down her expressions and thoughts

Very interesting. I think I can affirm that materialism is the very base of western socio-political-economic system. In case it would be generally accepted that materialism is not the only paradigm possible, the very foundation of the system should be shaken. I think the resistance will be impossible to overcome unless some “black swan” will appear.

The idea that we could all learn this points to how consciousness is connected: there's something very hopeful in this interview.
A beautiful example of seeing without eyes is the Turkish painter
Esref Armagan (born 1953) who was born without eyes. His life and art was part of a documentary, 'The Real Super Humans and the Quest For the Future Fantastic' (2007).
It was a bit unsettling at the time, I recall, simply because of the 'step right up, folks' vibe to his portrayal in particular.
The others featured were a synesthete, a math savant and Wim Hof: to me, their 'conditions' were vastly different from Armagan's.
Nevertheless, I'm recommending it because of an extraordinary 'plot twist' involving Armagan that's triumphant.

Perhaps experiments with a videogame where the people can't see the screen for feedback so as to prove there is a non local effect that isn't a bodily function would also be interesting. I doubt this is a bodily function. This is non local and information based imo. I know for science sake you have to rule out the skin/fingers hypothesis but, also imo, that is silly.

A Mind-1st Theory of Everything easily explains this and all other "slippery" phenomena. If Universal Mind is a unity "before" (there's no time yet in this primal state, but there is a (quantum) gradient from simplicity to complexity) branching and separating into an infinity of conscious agents, then each individuated mind retains a certain legacy from its more primal state. Thus things that seem to have no connection in material reality actually share an unseverable identity in Mind. In our everyday awareness, this legacy doesn't ordinarily get accessed, but it always has the potential to do so. The fact of consciousness (= subjectivity) in every living organism, even the tiniest, means that the organism must somehow be forming an inner representation of the world around it as it goes about its business. Even bacteria learn (and know how to cheat!), you're probably aware. They have to develop a 3D directional sense, as well as a "time" sense, to remember where the food is...or where predators are. All the senses that have developed as we've evolved into our current sophisticated multicellularity function in the service of this inner representation. So within each of us lives such a full-blown picture. What we think of as sight gets conveniently tacked onto this highly developed thought construct. The ability of a blind or blindfolded human to perceive details they've never encountered before is a function of both our fundamental unity and the inner "world map" we ongoingly create. However, it's kind of silly to try to make classical sense of quantum phenomena, so we really need a whole new re-envisioned institution of Science to meaningfully come to terms with this paradigm. For more, pls visit mindovermachine.life.

…a fundamental question needs to be answered; where does vision (physically) occur???.
The materialists undoubtedly conclude that vision occurs within the confines of the cranial cavity, more specifically the visual cortex. Like any of the five (5) human senses, information is gathered from outside the physical body and is subsequently interpreted by the brain.
If one subscribes to the theory that matter is “informed” by the “field” of quantum information, resulting in its physical construct/appearance, and that this quantum information is accessible by the human from a realm that has been described as “non ordinary” reality (astral plane), through means more commonly known as “clairvoyance”, then it’s readily conclusive that “non-ocular sight” is achievable by anyone. Young children especially are capable of this achievement because they have not yet been taught otherwise.
I can experience the mental vision of a “TV” screen having a defined rectangular perimeter with a certain aspect ratio, at will. Watching short videos clips of earthly landscapes with persons moving throughout. I too, like Jeffrey’s wife, can observe ancient text and symbols streaming across my field of mental vision from left to right like a “ticker-tape”. EXPLAIN THAT FROM A MATERIALISTS PERSPECTIVE! 😂

Thank you Dr Mishlove and all your volunteers as always I don't know if this comment is going to post cuz it's kind of long I mainly wrote it out for my own reflection
The brain produces Consciousness is apparently the overall tighty whitey perception I like to call it as in men who wear tight underpants if this is true why first of all isn't it referred to as the human brain because I don't see any generic brain floating around walking around anywhere all the brains I know of are human and if the human brain produces Consciousness then why aren't there lots of brains all over the cosmos and if the answer to that is is that the cosmos isn't conscious only the human brain is you might want to take a look at the logic in that because it suggests a pathology. the brain is a mechanical organism the mind is a sensory organism and neither are confined to the human just because it looks that way to him doesn't make it so. that memory is a tool for useful repetition of the expectation of a speck of localized space and therefore notwithstanding under any static or lasting circumstances, seems to be too much of a perception for the tighty whitey to wrap his arms around like Einstein said memory is a bag you can only carry so many you can only use tools when they're necessary you can only use so many tools at a time memory is a transient fluid existence it is not static it is not your movie it is not your writing on a tablet or a piece of paper it is not some stand-alone wall in which you can depend on because you need something besides your own existence to qualify the enjoyment and serenity of consciousness. unconscious or not conscious, is a form of consciousness, why is that so difficult to understand? I finally found a way to describe it for myself that the non not conscious is awareness with no details or very very few that Consciousness is awareness watching and in order for awareness to watch it must move therefore travel is always Incorporated in awareness. the idea that perceiving, understanding, seeing Without Eyes by testing it against its ocular version seems ridiculous to me. I ended up liking this video because at the end of this video he talks about the tighty whitey perception of the man excuse me but it's been all men and their view when it comes to Consciousness and sight seeing is so much more than ocular vision. ocular is an accumulation of the let's say not conscious undetailed seeing a more sane version of testing for me would be that people who are ocular Vision only all the time must undergo seeing without their eyes and in doing so not record against another ocular Vision what does that do except what proves that you can see an object with your eyes closed so what? Might be helpful in a spy movie what's some other human drama. what can actually be done with seeing other than ocular is far more vast than ocular Vision itself again the ocular eyes of an animal are the consequence of the layers of seeing and its probabilities yeah so as he describes the tightness of the perception in the community he's had to work in it's clear to me from in a very naive point of view that 90% maybe 99% of these people who are doing all these tests have never tried to live a full day let alone a week night and day or months without using their eyes it makes all of their testing of no consequence because they have not learned what happens when you discipline oneself to really see without your eyes the amount of incredible information Technics unbelievable possibilities that produce themselves and none of that shows itself up because you're testing and ocular Vision blindly against the version of another ocular vision? That makes no sense to me what does that mean? You should be testing what happens when the eyes are closed to the rest of the eyes in the body to the cellular makeup to the neurology so on and so forth the reactions all of the things that go on when the eyes are closed I do not understand this testing to me it looks absolutely mad and if I was this gentleman I think it would have driven me mad what you do is you get these scientists these men to put blindfolds on and not take them off until they figure out what they have missed I'm sorry but it just I'm naive in this I am no expert I have my own very strict perspective since forever this is just ridiculous the approach of the scientists the man in this it's just dumb in many ways he has a far worse blindfold than the one that would be put on him for a week and what a different man he would be disgusting.... I've decided as of recently after a lot of my own logistic testing live testing Years of Living tracking correlating comparing analyzing that the brain is a Tracker it's a computer it's a calculator it's an excellent reference repetitious configurator it's up to my brain within the limits of the environment of the existing second there is no such thing as expecting more the idea that there is such a thing as what we call images that exist that have long ago died I don't know this idea of a static memory is dumb there's no such thing memory is a fluid as the second no more no less the fact that we have a way to record for a few years or even a few hundred years is no more than a few seconds in the overall objectivity of seeing and therefore the idea of memory being static in any way more than a video or a tape or a piece of data is just completely dumbfoundingly stupid the brain is an excellent tracker that's its job the brain is an employee and guardian of the mind it has many many characters and accomplishments of which for it is responsible one of those would be the recall for the moment so that when I put my spoon and my bowl and my pants in certain places it's up to my brain to help my body of sensory organs to find that placement again the brain has nothing to do with that the mind is too busy with other details the brain is not a sensing organism the brain is a mechanical organism and it can be excellent at being mechanical but it is rarely or never any good at being sensational sensation is experience or the Mind the brain actually has nothing to do with it and shouldn't because it complicates its mechanics the two communicate or can communicate very well and the two each Safeguard the other very well. the brain is often as a Tracker a very good Guardian in terms of The Sensational version which often has no reference accountable, for example when I'm feeling overwhelmed my brain can make calculations references and Architectural Maneuvers that determine I'm still doing fine or rather that the brain is still functioning fine although the sensory perceptions may entirely overwhelmed in this way if there's a healthy communication between the two they guard each other the brain notwithstanding is a human organ inside a body and is part of a human body the mind is not just because the mind in English is a reference to what the plural of the brain? Or is it down in the invention or the exposition of the word mind we still don't understand or have any idea what it means? The brain is a human organ mind is a sensory or Sensational organism no it does not exist inside a hard water body like the human that's a ludicrous idea the reason it seems foolish to me is The Sensational system of the six senses of the human body are a result of the sensory probabilities of Consciousness and not Consciousness and therefore are in of themselves not the only existence of sensory perception this idea that has come from a man for far too long that what he sees is what exists has got to be recognized as a pathology face the truth if there are more than one planets out there that you can see with your ocular eye that are far larger than you could ever be that travel a consistent path much better than you have or how will that perhaps a light other planets and make species grow create a gravity that marks a continuous path in community and you as a man are going to have the audacity to say that your internal organism inside a skull on your neck creates it all can't that be recognized as a pathology yet? It is a sad sight through my sore eyes❤GEM❤

48:00 quackademics say what: "Does it work in theory..."
    Nassim Nicholas Taleb (3:59 PM · Jun 30, 2018):
For real people, if something works in theory, but not in practice, it doesn't work.
For academics, if something works in practice, but not in theory, it doesn't exist.

All you need is a hood (not a peeking mask), a subject who claims to be able to see blindfolded, a book and a magician who controls for tricks. It's not rocket science or quantum physics.

There is a blind card dealer that is one of the best in the world and he states he can see the cards with his fingertips. He did a video with Patrick David Bet. You should try to hook this guy and that guy up for research purposes

    I don't understand.
Why is it not possible to spend 1 single day and have irrefutable proof if it works?
    Makes zero sense.
    That makes me doubt this.
