Thanks for the tutorial! People should note. It’s a 230v and has a weird T electrical outlet. I went and got a converter extension at Home depo 20$. Also it’s very heavy. Thanks for the tutorial. I would have never figured the mounting out without you.
Does this AC have like the two laid down outlets like this (-.-) Or like this (-.l ) If it’s like (-.l ), is there a converter that can make plug into this (-.-) Ps. My outlet is this one (-.-). Sorry for the confusing picture, it’s really hard to find something that fits. I wanna make sure that the converter won’t pop the break or burn out the AC
don’t buy it unless you have 230v supplied to your home. Buy anything that’s 120v or lower. Anything over 10,0000 but will work great for 1 to two rooms. The conversion kit turned the display on but never worked for the actual compressor. It never powered on. Had to return and get a 120v AC 10,000 btu. It actually needs the 230v or else it won’t power on the motor and compressor.
@@ManuelCamarena0725W So what are people doing to I stall these? Most 230 plugs are t close to a window. It's usually for the range and the washer/dryer. Are people hiring an electrician to install a 240 circuit just to get this to work? I bought a 110-230 transformer and mines barely blows out. Not cold either just a little fan. There has to be another way paying an electrician to get this to work
Also try to not leave your temperature that low because you are going to ruin your coils. I did that with my last ax and it couldn’t cool any more so yeah
Can anybody on the comments tell me what gauge of wire and amp of double pole breaker I should use? The power cord itself is AWG 14 but was wondering if I should use 14/2 with a ground and a 15Amp breaker or 12/2 with a ground and a 20Amp breaker? I can't believe they leave this off of their instruction manual. The amps listed on the side of the cabinet are 7.2/7.6 RLA is 5.8/6.25A LRA is 40A FLA is 0.8A I've been looking for days trying to find the information.
I'm trying to figure out if I can use this unit IF I buy it. I only have 110 volt outlets in my house bedroom. Do I have to rub an extension cord from fuse box or hot water heater/oven? My house is brick. I can't pull wires so easily. Double sheet rock on inside. Damn. What's the trick to this?
Thank you for the useful video. As a side note to manufacturers, do they not realize how silly and extremely stupid to remove ac from it’s case to be able to install to a window? This is completely bs, they should make all this unnecessary and complicated process simple for us end users who has little technical knowledge.
It turns off when you have it on eco mode when the temperature it's set to is reached. Also if you have a timer set on it. Other than that, it would stay on until I shut it off.
It might be because you’re pulling excessive power from your outlet. And it’s not supported in your home. Older homes aren’t built to pull 230volts through one outlet.
Omg someone please help me I have the same model It will not blow cold I mean I have it on cool with the fan on high installed all correct at 62 and it will kick the compressor on and off the whole time I mean it probably only stays on for like 5 minutes within 2 hours and it doesn’t just blow cold 24/7 like ANY and I mean ANY other air conditioner and I need to know why this os the worst company that provides information to the buyers

I can’t thank you enough for this video! Trying and reading the manual was difficult lol.

So you had a 240 plug already installed in your home for this window unit? Mine barely even runs!
Where does the water drip out? My pan is getting close to the fan blades in the back. Do we need to punch a hole to drain?
Can someone help me? I just bought an air conditioner and the fan doesn't turn or do anything, but the lights do work
Same here…any answers??
@djhdz3928 not being smart , return it
can I use this unit for a built in, on the wall ? Rather than it being used for the window ?
I did that and when I removed it there was so much water damage in my wall
Ah dang. I only have 110 volt wall outlet nearby. What do I do???

Why is the light coming through the vents help?
Were there any problems with this in the time you had it. Like computer etc.
Nope. No problems so far and It's been a year.

My hubby left the white styrofoam inside.
Is that ok?
If you're referring to the styrofoam just inside the black air vent, yes, absolutely. That's the design of this AC.

Are you able to turn the led display lighting off on the unit?
Yes. Using either the remote control the AC comes with or the app on your phone. AC remains on with the led display completely off.
I think i mess my unit up by taking out the styerofoam around the blower out. Its not cooling the room at all
Mine lights come on but not blowing

How do I remove black grill on the front ??
That isn't required for installation. I didn't do that.
@@alextv8975 I didn't either. I was just wondering if you knew. I figured it out, thanks!
Does yours also turn off automatically?

what model number is this
rac-wk1821escru
That air is 110v
I have one of those and it definitely doesn’t weigh over 100lb.
The 18000 btu is 128 pounds.
a 240 I see 👀

If you haven't heard anything about it yet, I would Try turning the Eco mode off, then the compressor should run longer.
