Texas All-State 2011. It was a moving piece. Such depth, and the soaring lines in each voice part left everyone in aw. Morten Lauridsen is truly a composer of absolute greatness. An inspiration to young composers as myself.
I don't know if it choral music gets much better than this, especially with this combination of performers singing the inspiring beauty that is Lauridsen. Thank you for uploading this piece. I also enjoyed your pictures.
There are 4 total. 1st is Sa Nuit d'Ete, 2nd is Soneto de la Noche, this is the third one, and the 4th was added a couple years later is less known but it's Voici le Soir. I've had the awesome experience of performing the first three with my high school chamber choir this past year.
WOW.... This is one Lauridsen that I had not heard. Are there more Nocturnes, and can you upload them? Also, the photos of the statues were very appropriate for this music. Really lovely vid. BRIAN
The reason there is no audio? Polyphony most likely contended that this posting violated their copyright in the recording. This is the way these have been handled lately: delete the audio and keep the video.
Beautiful images to complement the hauntingly beautiful music of Lauridsen. It's amazing how such simple music can create a beautiful world.
That was so amazing I can't describe just how. Those english choirs have a way of putting me right in heaven.
I can no longer live without this song..

Absolutely gorgeous.
Seen a lot of videos on UA-cam. This is the absolute best. Kudos to the creator.

This was a most beautiful experience -- I'm sorry the audio is now missing. Any chance of fixing it?
It was removed for copyright reasons...so nothing can be done..
