Thank you for such a great tutorial. As I wait for my box to show up I’ve been watching all off the posted tutorials by the other UA-cam sewers. I printed off the pattern pieces so I could make my own adjustments that I thought I would want. I used quilting cotton with SF101 and the foam by Annie’s. The only adjustments I made were to put the strap tabs on the front and back panels close to the seams rather than on the sides and I put the zipper right on the top as I’m not a fan of the recessed zipper panels. I used the inside pocket to pull it all through. Over all I am pretty pleased with how it came out. I can’t wait for my package to show up so I can get started on bag number 2. Thanks for all the hard work you do. This is an awesome project!

I just got delivery of my summer project box! I am so excited to make this! Everything is in the box, as promised, and the quality of it all is top notch! I’m particularly impressed by the glitter ruler (same quality of premium rulers I’ve purchased elsewhere), the premium hardware, and the cute little labels included. This was well worth the money spent!

Ordered my box last night (it was about 7pm by the time it finally became available to me), I can't wait to get it and make my gorgeous bag! I chose the slow international delivery though, so it's going to be a while LOL.Thank you to both you and Jen for such a fun project.

Thank you so much for the Summer Project Sew-Along Box from Sincerely Jen! I'm on my third bag! When I received my summer box my pen white chalk didn't work and I opened it up and it was empty :( but other than that everything was there and the fabric is so beautifil!

Oh Lauren, this was a fantastic tutorial. I need to see what to do instead of just reading instructions and this covers everything. I have watched some of the other tutorials. Some are really good. I feel confident that I am going to be able to make this bag though I have never used WPC or WRP. I hope you know what a success you are. The sheer amount of the project boxes ordered is proof of that. I am hoping to be able to get to Sew Magical in Orlando in November.

Congratulations! I always struggle with the fork method. I am wondering, So I usually buy ready ones, but in Your case as a professional, You have Your tools. Why You going backwards? Nice size bag, perfect for Summer City trips!

Before I got my zipper jig, I would clamp a fork to my table with a small clamp.
So what do we need for the contrast fabric? I'm coming to the class on Friday night would ottertex WPC be good?

I bought the pattern but dont have access the the beautiful fabric that came in the kits. Can this be done with cotton interfaced fabric and cork fabric?
Absolutely. It can be made with any fabrics 🥰

It’s not required at all. I just wanted to change it up :)
You can use a fabric you have on hand or use the lining fabric
You probably said this about the lining: is there a definite side to not iron (right side or wrong side)?
The lining has no side that absolutely cannot be ironed!

Has anyone tried this with quilt cotton and foam instead of vinyls
the only vinyl used was the accent. It can be made in all cotton :)

I'm so sad. I decided that I would at least make the exterior of The One with More Me Know. Up until I folded the top accent over and started to tops stitch. I was using a vinyl I got from More me Know, (I absolutely love it, but it's not right for this purse) but I guess it was too thick. When I finished the top strip of contrast with the vinyl I realized that I had major problems. When I was top stitching I hit the snap. When I tried to to line up all the layers they weren't even. I'm generally a very careful and accurate sewer and I was so disappointed. The only thing I can figure is that since the vinyl was so thick it changed how things lined up. So....I'm unstitching and will use something else, but I'm so discouraged. Anyone know if there is anymore of the flowered fabric? I may need to recut some of the pocket pieces.
Oh no! It’s definitely better with a thinner vinyl or the fabric provided. We do have 2 more fabric only packs available on the website. :(
