      I definitely know who Daredevil is, but I never got around to watching any of the Netflix Defender shows because there's already so many things. But it did make me kind of want to watch the Daredevil show with all that because he seems great both in and out of costume. Though I'm just worried he wouldn't have the same quips and jokes in a dark and gritty show like he did in this

      @@fuzzyotterpaws4395 Yeah, the quips were more for the chemistry between Matt and Jen for the episode. I would also assume he would do a little more of that in his own show, since it's going to be a sort of soft reboot for the MCU. The original show does have its comedic moments, and it is a little darker, definitely, but that shouldn't discourage you from watching it. It is one of my favorite Marvel shows I have ever watched tbh.

    First of all Charlie Cox is the goat, he knew how to balance the dark and light tones of Matt's personality, plus hearing his old Netflix theme song was just the icing on the cake for me. When people start seeing you as a monster that never goes away, the moment she got pissed I knew that lesson was going to pop up and man that scene was so heartbreaking to see, I'm surprised Marvel even did that. This episode was a 13/10 for me, but that ending....it was good but God was that painful to watch to see Jen go through that.

Josh play her whole time. He break her trust. He break her heart. He lied to her. He take advantage of her whole time. He took her for granted. Now he ruined her reputation. He ruined her chance for getting female lawyer of the year award. He made whole world afraid of her inner beast She-Hulk form and her angry temper so whole world will treat her and judge her like real monster. She's not monster. She just wanna have wonderful things with her loved ones so everybody else needs to leave her alone. Whole world took Jennifer for granted because they love her more as her inner beast She-Hulk more than real herself.

    My biggest highlight was Matt's words motivating her to make the best of both. Jen this entire season has wanted nothing but to be accepted for her as a whole and only be met with folks who wish to have one or none. Having that retreat and meeting a secret superhero who validates her for her whole self was empowering. It's Matt's words that make her even come out and do her first superhero stake out, I dunno I just love seeing characters validate who they are as a whole I think many people can relate to the feeling of feeling low about themselves and having others validate you for the entirety of you.

      @SwitchBladeEVO 2 роки тому +3

      This episode absolutely paid off what I had been kind of worried about, which was her arrogance and wanton use of the She-Hulk for her public image. Until this bout with Intelligencia, she had always used She-Hulk in a manner serving public safety or that people perceived as her being "human" and not monsterly. I think they foreshadowed the her arrogance biting her in the ass the second she automatically took Leap Frog's case assuming they had an easy W without really bothering to dig into the circumstances more. Reinforced it when she just went after Luke presuming he had made a faulty suit instead of asking what it's limitations were. The end scene was Jen getting a reality check that Jen and She-Hulk both are held to standards and are susceptible to the horrors of modern society. I was super sussed out that DODC was already outside waiting tho???

      Exactly that's what I was thinking! I really do believe they were trying to emphasize how women are perceived differently for their emotional outbursts than men, in regard to anger specifically. If a man gets angry it's most often immediately validated by those around him, and often even seen as admirable/cool. But when women get angry they are considered out of line for not thinking clearly enough about the situation to relay an "acceptable" reaction. While many people are focusing on what Bruce said about how a Hulk getting angry is ultimately problematic in its own way, to Jen it's just being a woman in our society with a few extra steps (ie. her saying she has to manage her anger more than Bruce). This moment in the show does not prove Bruce right and Jen wrong, but drives home that even in this situation where her anger is completely justified, she's still being persecuted for it, as a Hulk and as a woman. It wasn't arrogant of her to elaborate to Bruce why she was doing a better job than him at managing her emotions (especially since Bruce's whole problem was him refusing to even accept his emotions before Avengers). She reached a tipping point here and did what I think anyone would do in her position. Sorry had to get that out of me.

      Honestly it’s the same problem with Captain Marvel and the “Nobel warrior heroes” line. People who were actively looking for stuff to hate saw that in the trailer and immediately started complaining about how Carol was stoic and stuck up, having done nothing to earn that title. When that line is literally meant to be about showing how bad Carol’s indoctrination and loyalty to The Kree is with her having to confront the fact that she’s been the bad guy and her “people” aren’t as Nobel as they pretend to be later in the movie

    This was definitely the best episode of the series by far. Loved the chemistry between Jen and Matt, from the courtroom scene to the bar to the parking lot fight and the warehouse battle. This showed how amenable the Daredevil character is, that he can also work in a comedy and still feel true to his roots.

    The accords being appealed just means that the truth, since day one, has not changed... team Cap WAS RIGHT

    I like how the end of the episode is a callback to what Hulk said in the first episode "once they see you as a monster they won't stop" or something like that.
