I have watched several videos to feel out which would be a good technique for me and I really think this is a good one! This is my first time making a 1:12 scale figure with polymer clay...I will need to know what to do next after I build this armature before adding the clay!!😂 Thanx for sharing!😊
Glad it helped! For first sculpture i would print human figure on a paper(google for human anatomy pics), than trace the wire over it. That way you gonna end up with proper height. Of course if you are making human figure. Also it wouldn't be bad idea to add small wire where the neck will be, for extra strength . Proper dimensions help a lot. Also, don't focus much on details first, its tempting to go in to details before you finished basic form, i still struggle with that :). Details are sexy, but basic form is much more important, trust me. Embrace the fear and doubts through out the process, its completely normal, fight is real. Good luck, let me know how it went, don't forget to enjoy ;).
@@GameCultureSculpture thanx so much, I know what you mean, I have had to train myself to get the structure complete first! Details are like saving the best for last! 😉 Thanx for the tips they're sure to help!
Chica Bala: I watch another video. This guy was using actual amateur wire soft 14 Guage. He only made 1 cut. His channel is ( Proko 3D ) Hope this helps.
Sometimes that's OK, but it depends on the clay you are working with. If clay is not sticking well enough , you sometimes have to use smaller wire on top of the wire ,otherwise you could end up with air pockets 😉
Wrap tinner wire around the armature, that way clay has something to hold on. Also first put small amount of clay on armature and slowly build up bulk . What clay are you using? Cheers
Glad it helps! Yes, baker it on piece of wood. Polymer clay is baked in ordinary oven at 110 Celsius or 230 Fahrenheit . Its pretty low temperature so wood will not burn, don't worry, you can just get nice smells from it :). Cheers
Very easy to follow for me a beginner, thank you. Much appreciated.

Everytime I make an armature, I no longer have a miniature... I end up with a sculpture
I know what you mean :). Maybe you should do wire sculptures?

@@override700 then thinner wire around thick wire should do the trick. Baking the first layer for 10 min also help. Just lay it thin. Cheers
@@GameCultureSculpture thanks
Now if only my thumbs didn’t feel pain like they’ve been sliced open with a knife afterward
Yep, cuts are normal when working with armatures , it happens to be all the time :)
Amazing tutorial thank you
My pleasure ;)
Add clay n show us complete
Ohhh i thougt he meant "armor" like for a fantasy knight or something😂
There is going to be tutorial for armor :)
Thanks
Love the information you give on these videos, but I have a question. Do you bake your armatures on that block of wood?
