@LetsReact you guys should react to Fairy Tail 👆
Everybody gangsta until all might stops smiling.
Literally. If he loses his smile then he really means business.
If you notice on Momo’s outfit, she actually has a spot to hold a book in case she needs to look something up for creation.
Interesting
Todoroki is real hero material not just because of his quirk, but also his quick thinking. He figured out a lot of things pretty quickly and is able to keep a cool head (heh) in a fight.
Spoiler incoming
He was trained as a child by the number 2 hero so he is way ahead of all the students. Aside from his issues and lack of movement(even though he can be fast at this point like the entrance exam race for him & Inasa), dude is on par with 3rd years even at this point
I just love the little detail of Shigaraki(handy man) constantly talking like a gamer. He thinks of this as a game. When he thinks they'll lose, he says it's "Gameover". When he thinks they've got a shot, he says they've got a "Continue". Like when you get to restart in a video game. He seems very immature. But at the same time, he also pays a lot of attention to details. Noticing a small detail about Aizawa's quirk and immediately making a plan to counter him. He seems to really think Aizawa is cool. Which, if even a villain thinks you're amazing, you're definitely doing something right. Such an interesting character
it’s been a while since i’ve watched mha, but that’s such a cool detail
Actually he is a gamer. If I remember correctly shigaraki was playing League of Legends before. Writer mentioned this in manga

All for One be like, "how do I make him the most evil person imaginable?... Ah, I've got it!"
@@nugget6820😂
It’s a small detail but when Shigaraki goes for the kill on Asui the second time, Asui try to save Deku from the Nomu instead of trying to get away
Tsu being inches away from instant death and aizawa managing to stop it at the last minute is probably my favourite moment from s season 1
This episode completely sold me on Aizawa. I’ve fallen out of the fandom in the last few years, but I never stopped adoring this character. He jumps into a pile of villains (definitely not his preferred method of fighting) without hesitation, to keep his students safe. He’s broke. And bleeding on the ground, his arms shattered and his face smashed to the floor, and he still finds the strength to keep going to save Tsu. He’s one of my favourite characters of all times.
I hope you watched season 6! He has some great moments in it
@@grayj2125 I didn’t, but I saw select manga panels. My friends keep me updated on the really interesting stuff
Carolina Smash is a double chop (2 states), Oklahoma Smash he rotates his body to make a tornadoes (has one of the highest rate of twisters a year).
Love Aizawa so much this episode he really shows how determined he is to protect his students (kids) ❤ at any cost !!!
I said it before but from the first moment we see Aizawa in his sleeping bag he was INSTANTLY my favorite. Then after his reaction in the last episode and seeing what he does in this one… he’s an absolute badass.
He makes me question my sexuality fr
i have wondered how Momo discovered what her quirk is, seeing as how most people develop their quirk before they're even 5 and she needs to know the molecular structure of the item to create it. Maybe they thought she could just make water or something at first, since that would probably be the first structure she learned.
I’ve been watching them for about 2 years now and it’s amazing how spot on Montana is with her analysis of situations and characters. Like she got shigaraki so spot on that I can’t wait for her to see how that plays out
I really like the way that the show builds up all might, when he arrives in that scene everyone in the audience always has such a feeling of happiness and calm knowing that he is here now to help. Which I think is impressive as it really makes the audience feel what the people in the world do, he is literally the ‘symbol of peace’ and in this scene the audience feels what that means just as much as the people in this world. I don’t think there are many shows which is able to make the audience feel the exact same way about a character arriving as the characters in the show.
Delaware is also a region that naturally has tidal wetlands, so I think it was also name for the tidal nature of the attack. I believe at one point all might does a spinning attack and names a state known for tornados. So yeah, I think the location chosen also has a lot to do with the "vibe" of the attack as you put it
Dadzawa risking his life for his kids🛐🛐
We need a Shiggy simp for Aizawa counter
I liked all the "she is my wife" thank you, i'm married now" thing, you two are so cute 🥰
Forreal. They my favorite UA-camrs.
9:50 About Momo's quirk, I always feel like her power is deeply underutilized. If really she can make anything as long as she knows the molecular structure, y'know? Ice: It's just water in a solid form. Fire, it's air molecules at very high velocity. So that's Todoroki's power right there. Nitroglycerin: Just look up wikipedia. She could make Bakugo's power. The pink girl's acid, she could make that. The tape-dude, she could do that as well. She can't copy all the powers, but in theory she could do many of them.
But all she really does is build tools and weapons. Which are really great, don't get me wrong; I do think that even used the way it is right now she has the most versatile power, not just of the class, but of all characters in the show (I can only think of one exception and even then that'd still be up to debate). All I'm saying is, she could do so much more, too! :p
she can only build tool or weapons. she can build inorganic items or materials. not stuff like water, or nitroglycerin. she can probably make bakugos gauntlet, but not fuel it for him. or atleast at this stage in her training. she does develop the night night thing for the giant guy, but thats after tons of new training.
@@WrightSideOfThings Ok, true, nitroglycerin is an organic material, I just looked it up. My bad on that one. But water isn't. Ice isn't. By the rule of "any inorganic material she can think of and that she knows the molecular structure of", she should be able to make ice!
And for the nitroglycerin bit, while yeah that's organic, I'm sure one can find an inorganic explosive, if we start looking.
@@WrightSideOfThings no she can make organic materials, just not living things, she makes rubber insulation in this episode, rubber is an organic material from trees or whatever, which is the author did say "oops" and corrected the oversight
@@ChevaliersEmeraude she cant control the temperature of the objects she creates, the problem is shes not immune to the effects of the objects she creates, like bakugo, todoroki, and mina are resistant to the effects of their quirks, and the objects created are mundane for the most part compared to quirk objects, like sure, she can create tape, but its not going to be on par with sero's tape, and since its not a natural function of her body, likes sero's, she will take longer to produce it at a greater detriment to herself since its using up lipids
Cool quirk but it's not even top 10, it has its disadvantages
Momo's Quirk gives her the ability to create any non-living material/object from her exposed skin by transforming the molecular structure of her fat cells. In order to create something, she needs to understand the molecular structure of what the material/object is made of.
The more she eats, the more material she has to work with, so she needs considerable food ingestion for her Quirk to be effective. However, it takes her a longer period of time and more skin exposed to create large objects.
This aspect of her Quirk is also possibly the reason for her slim figure, as she constantly burns her body's fat to create objects. It is also possible that this is a big weakness, in that if she creates too much without replacing her calories, she can become weak and possibly anemic.
It's a little thing, but I love the voice acting on "BEGONE". It always gives me chills. Also, Aizawa is the best.
Oo that's interesting
For some reason the effect here made me giggle
You two are so cute together. Also, yeah Aizawa is so awesome, I've definitely got a soft spot for him in the series, I love how protective he is of his students :)
I started watching my hero academia for the first time when you dropped the first episode so that I would watch your reactions on it. Now I am on season 6 and God!!! It easily became one of my favorites shows of ALL TIME!! it's just amazing. I am so glad I started this master piece and so exited to re-watch it with you guys through the reactions videos.
Season 6 is so good!
BRO Kenny’s face when Montana started talking about Shigaraki’s hands made me lose it. She has no idea how close she is lol
Forreal. She's so smart.
This episode has a lot of great moments: Aizawa being a certified *badass* ™, students fighting against villains. Even Shigaraki & Co., while terrifying, you can’t deny they’re doing well.
And then among the blood, screams and chaos there’s Tsu casually drowning the Grap*st (deserved).
Glorious.
Your love for each other really shows, I wish you guys the best in this new chapter of your life.
Nomu is underrated as a villain, I'll say it first!
I feel like since there are so many, ppl have just become used to them all being absolute powerhouses

@@HaydrogenBomb If I remember correctly, Kenny said he's fully caught up with the anime.
@@narindercatt2230 I know. I meant spoilers for Montana

18:24 I hate flies with an unbelievable passion!!
Montana figuring out what the quirks are is my favorite thing ever.
13:08 Mezo Shoji doing work counter: 2
(Why 2? Because 1 was when he managed to pin down Sero (Tape Arms) and Mina (Pinky) and keep them from being swept away by Kurogiri's warp gate.)
Shoji is great and he does so much for his classmates while in the background and I love him
This is actually how you're supposed to experience such a good show.. sharing thoughts.. immersing in the story itself.. enjoying the show..
(If she managed to catch the fly, quirk confirmed maybe?😅)
Todoroki isn't calm because he is cool under pressure. Todoroki is calm because he is emotionally detached due to… I won't spoil it.
Did I mention that these characters have lovely character arcs?
I love the tail guy. All he has is a muscular tail. Most of his combat prowess comes from martial arts skill.
My thought was that All Might's Smash names were mostly size based, but also some themed to the location. Like when he does an Oklahoma Smash, he sends enemies flying in all directions. I took this as a reference to tornados. (Though I guess Kansas would have been better suited.)
17:38 - 17:42
"My arm doesn't bend that way! MY ARM DOESN'T BEND THAT WAY!! ( *CRACK* ) OH NOW IT DOES!!"
Ah yes a DBZA reference. You are clearly a man of culture.
Fun fact: The reason Shigaraki has so many hands on him is because the mangaka, Kohei Horikoshi, loves to draw hands and considers them to be as expressive as faces
Horikoshi also eventually ends up hating drawing the hands on Shigaraki because they're dead and not expressive at all
I'm the same as Montana in that I work well under pressure and when I HAVE to. It's what made me a good EMT, because when everyone else is panicking, it makes me able to focus and stay calm somehow.
Well this epeisode we see something new for Midoriya. The force of the smash he hits Nomu with is actually way over exaggerated. That was his first time managing to hold back so he doesn’t break his arm. Though it’s easy to misunderstand the situation due to other factors so I’m sure people are going to tell me I’m wrong despite this being referenced as his first time actually holding back and it’s forever his frame of reference for how to reign in his power
Nomu has the power of shock absorption. The reason Deku doesn't destroy his arm is because Nomu absorbs the entire force from the punch.
Nothing to do with Deku controlling his power.
@@grantlawrence4600 See? I knew this would happen. Deku and All Might have a talk about it later and despite both of them knowing that Nomu has shock absorption, Deku recognizes that he actually did hold back there successfully because it’s the first time he actually aimed to hit another person with OFA. He goes forward trying to recreate that sensation in order to control his power. Also in season 4 when Deku’s training with All Might, they go over all the stages of Deku’s development and the stage of him successfully using 5% uses this moment as its example. And later we learn that when Deku uses OFA at 100% explosions are going off inside his body and until the war arc, they didn’t fully make their way out. Shock absorption wouldn’t stop those from happening especially when he still breaks himself when he doesn’t impact anything but the air like last episode with his Delaware Smash. Like I said, it’s easy to make this mistake because Nomu has shock absorption but that actually had nothing to do with it.
@@pj_spirit
Deku broke his fingers because he used force in between them to push air out. They impacted against each other.
Same as later in the second season when he uses fingers. He has no control over OFA yet.
You're stretching a bunch of information to fit this theory. None of it fits, though.
@@grantlawrence4600 How am I stretching Deku straight up saying that he held back? Deku isn’t stupid. When he says that, he knows that the Nomu has shock absorption. If he didn’t hold back here, then how can he use it as his frame of reference of how to hold back in the future? How can the story straight up reference this as his first time holding back if he didn’t hold back? There’s literally no reason for the characters to get this wrong. It’s not a theory, it’s a clarification on a situation most people get wrong.
@@grantlawrence4600 Chapter 22, chapter 30 and chapter 172 both reference this as the first time Deku holds back. Chapter 22 says he was able to hold back subconsciously because he was attacking another person. Chapter 30 he says he’s trying to recreate that moment so he can hold back again. What purpose would the story have for Deku being wrong about this for so long? That moment has repeatedly been used as the basis of his training and understanding how to hold back. Are you telling me Deku can’t understand that moment? He was the one who HAD the moment. He understood what actually happened and told us and you’re telling me he’s wrong. How could he be wrong about it but still successfully use it for training?
Good news you two! The Attack on Titan English dub for the finale special 1 comes out September 9th.
Fun fact.. Todoroki's japanese voice actor also voices Eren..
recently found your channel, watched the aot reactions (semi-finale dub is out btw) now watching your mha reactions and I love the psychoanalysis you give instead of just "mmm yes cool show" (also you 2 are really cute together)
I knew Montana would love Momo. It would be really interesting to see her cosplay as her. I feel like she could embody the character really well.😏
Alright we have arrived at my 2 favorite episodes of the season. This finally gets kicked up into a higher gear I have been waiting for some time.
Now while it is true that I find the narration at this point in the show to be a tad unnecessary, at the very least it doesn't last TOO long in it's more heavy handed form.
I do like the fact that Deku never gets a big head over successful plans as he goes. He has an incredible mind and is capable of locking down 20 or so people at once in a move and he STILL thinks he underplanned. When someone builds up such a track record with such an overpowered force at their fingertips it's easy to fall into the trap of getting arrogant with the plans. Good on Tsu and Mineta to keep his concern in check though. Don't let him go in headfirst, but also don't let him beat himself up.
Meanwhile, Todoroki is just over here quietly just pushing borderline war crimes. While he is containing them, as he knocks them over and pushes the ice into their skin, threatens to suffocate them, and just manhandling everyone easy, I guess you could say he's acting quite cold. (And I am almost not sorry, but that was still terrible.) Funny because Tsu is ACTUALLY committing war crimes on Mineta. Not...that many of us can blame her. Hands to yourself Mineta. PLEASE.
We got 3 new official powers and all 3 are really great side characters. Kaminari has electric powers, and is essentially pikachu with friendly fire. And a LOT more understanding of electricity. That can easily be one of the deadliest quirks in the show because every human body runs on electricity, but he has no pinpoint at all. But he does short-circuit everyone including himself. Jiro has an untouchable sound shockwave that busts rock and overwhelms the senses while able to boost her own sensory awareness. And Momo is essentially an alchemist from FMA but only transfers from her own body. If she had spread to other objects, she would be among the most broken students. I really like these because there are very clear upsides and downsides to applications and if you aren't completely focused and in tune with yourself it's hard to use these. Momo is the most right now and you can see why she got a recommendation on her intelligence. That is a LOT of molecular structures to memorize.
Shigaraki is honestly a very fun villain even if he is bratty. Just because you're a villain doesn't mean you don't geek out about heroes like everyone else. And I love how he is such an Eraser Head fan. Shigaraki is DEFINITELY a sadist though. And it really leaks into who he is as a person. I love his raspy voice. Maybe it wouldn't be that way if he didn't scratch his own neck so much. Most villains have no real official training but Shigaraki DEFINITELY does. Keeping pace and withstanding olympic heroes is no small feat, and being able to catch not just Aizawa's tells but also counting how long on average his quirk is in use is actually some crazy discipline. And his quirk is also horrifying. Ripping off flesh like tree bark off a tree. And while the effect is cut off by Aizawa breaking free fast, imagine what happens when he keeps his hand on him for lengthier times. That's not pretty to think about. And Aizawa can just keep on going against STILL over a dozen people at once and keep going. But is quickly interrupted by the Nomu.
I think it goes without saying 13 is based on Apollo 13. The rocket started malfunctioning on it's way to the moon and survived by a miracle despite being so beaten up on the way back. 13 consequently early into the conflict has her back ripped open. And just to put any thoughts to bed, 13 is a person in armor, not just hallow armor. Her backside is MESSED UP. And while Kurogiri remarks being a rescue hero makes her not very good in battle, it's more because she is wearing bulky armor that doesn't let her turn her head easily. Which is a strange oversight, but as he said, not really much issue when you aren't focused on fighting. I won't deny I am curious how she even uses her quirk to save lives. Does she use it on fire, rubble, and whatever hazard is around? Just food for thought.
We get to see the lovely drawbacks of the kids having no inner monologues, the villains even call them out a number of times for it being REALLY dumb. Iida likely would have an easier time escaping if he wasn't screaming his head off on the way out and the kids warning Kurogiri they have hands on him. I have no idea why Kurogiri has his NECK of all things exposed. Seems like a really bad idea, but we actually often never get full details on villain quirks and their applications because the element of surprise is often all they have. While heroes are registered and licensed and can have their quirks researched not just by looking them up but watching them on TV. They are public officials after all.
Nomu is INCREDIBLY problematic. It's an unidentified creature with a melted skull from the looks of it. Aizawa can't even cancel it out because it's so "naturally" jacked even if there are zero things natural about it. He completely breaks down Aizawa in such a way I am genuinely stunned Aizawa's limbs remain intact with how we see them bent. THAT IS NOT HOW ARMS BEND. And Aizawa STILL finds the energy to stop Shigaraki from attacking the kids one last time. And Nomu can even prevent OFA from being completely unleashed. Make no mistake, that was a maxed punch with that shockwave. And it IMMEDIATELY clicks in Deku's head what is meant to be used on All-Might. Who walks in right on cue.
Next episode is the easy favorite of season 1. I know it's mine. Plot armor may not be as strong as we originally figured in this show.
Thank you again! But quick question. What is the hands-guy's quirk? I am not sure I really understand it. Is it tearing apart human cells or something like that? Or is that a spoiler and it isn't property shown yet?
@@Smartie234 it’s officially called decay. From what I can tell it’s an instant aging of cells and they crumble and fall away. His hand stays on too long, they fall apart like dust. But y’know. In the same way Aizawa’s elbow fell apart. In terms of people, I’ll leave that to your imagination. Deku’s imagination of Tsu getting decayed is not inaccurate we shall say. But it works on inanimate objects as well.
They never SPECIFICALLY say what is happening. As I said before, villains rarely if ever give specifics for their quirks. Heroes often always do. With the exception of OFA which is hiding even from the government. But that’s a subject for another day.
@@Kaempfdog interesting, thank you. This makes me have all kinds of new questions. Like, is it only through his hands or can something decay wherever it's touching his body? Can he control how fast the decay is happening or how big the decaying area is? How would a child react to this quirk or figure out this is its quirk? Would he accidentally have hurt himself once with this quirk? So many questions and possibilities to think about!
Though I think most of those won't get answered since, as you said, the viewer won't get a lot of detailed information about the villains. But interesting that it also works on objects. That makes it a lot more interesting and powerful.
@@Smartie234 there is development speculation, and I won’t lie there is a specific arc I do actively enjoy doing said speculation IN and I fully plan on doing so. But that is pretty far out. There are 6 full seasons out after all. I’m hoping Lett’s React starts doing MHA twice a week because there’s so much show to catch up on. But Kenny might actively be stalling for Season 7 which is already in development. We shall see.
But don’t worry. This is a shonen and training arcs exist. So you’re bound to find place to do that kind of speculating.
9:24 I feel like they neglected to mention the fact that Momo’s ability is dependent upon the amount of lipids stored in her body… or do they mention that later on in the dub. It’s kind of a key component to her ability…
I am pretty sure they mention it later. I don't think it is mentioned in the sub at this point either. Instead, it comes to importance during the summer training arc.
'Destroyed your elbow? Is that a critical component?' LOL

Proffesor Kenny: excellent analysis
Every time Monata says "vacuum man" I HURT! Tomura Shigaraki is one of my favorite characters, together with Toshinori Yagi, Shouta Aizawa, Momo Yaoyurozu and Jin Bubaigawara.
15:50 have you tried EMDR??
My aunt had the same anxiety when waking up and it solved it for her. I have a similar thing but with falling asleep (or being unable to) and im going for EMDR soon.
The power of friendship is like an actual really valuable asset in this world and story and I adore how well horikoshi implements it
Also, y’all are super cute, like the neurodivergent chemistry is so palpable it’s really nice (as a queer person who suffered homophobia growing up, I definitely went down the *very “few straight couples are healthy”over correct once I accepted my sexuality”* route and have healed enough that I’ve found it easier to love the chemistry of straight passing couples again; y’all give me hope, cheesy as that may be)
Edit: also, I adore getting to show people something I love for the first time, so I love how excited Kenny is to show Montana this super fucking awesome world
Montana i hope you find some good meds or something 🙏 I've had GAD/MD since i was a kid. Kenny, brother, you do this a lot when you're excited about a show you've already seen, but you've gotta trust that Montana is watching lol. I know it's probably not intentional, but you're really trying to steer her to having the reaction you want her to have instead of just letting her react

this show is absolutely amazing and i love it.....but i still have to say my usual comment.... :
GURREN LAGANNNN!!!!!!! :)
it feels weird with the dub. I prefer the sub version, felt more like anime :v
I think that's completely valid.
It's really irritating to see a reaction to a show when one part is grinning to themselves all the time and in good moments knowingly start to the other part who doesn't know the show. In addition, people who know the show tend to try to point out things to people who don't know the show. I think I'll stop watching it, it's really annoying.
"A lot of people need their elbows" my god lmao
