I love Henry the musical charismatic genius. His rendition of Faded two pianos live is spectacular. The way you make me feel-uptown funk, believer, dance monkey, Youngblood and his duet with Lena Park doing Shallow are so entertaining and worth watching. Best to you
Henry and Taemin were also in the Younique unit with Maxx Step. Henry and Taemin are actually good friends 🥰 They were on an episode of Life Bar together so hilarious 😂
U haveeee to watch faded and Youngblood also check out some of his performances on the Korean shows begin again and fly to the dance he’s absolutely amazing
This is still one of my altime favorite kpop songs 🥰 I was so lucky to get to see it performed live on Music Bank, only Henry and Taemin that day, but it was AMAZING to experience 💖
What a pleasant surprise! Trap! He is the first male solo singer from SM after 13 years. Henry composed the piano intro… Trap was his first solo album… enjoy your rabbit-hole journey🎉
I'm not sure if you catched it in the things you read, but "Trap" was his first solo release! And he was 23/24 at the time! - Question: Did the "I'm trapped, I'm trapped" get stuck in you're head? Because it sure did in mine the first time I heared the song 😄
This release is considered SM Ent's first foray into debuting soloists from active groups. While SJ-M is a subunit, it was a group that lasted about 6 cumulative years. Henry only had a couple EPs as an SM soloist before he left the company but they were both criminally underappreciated quality albums. Henry is a fantastic vocalist as you definitely know by now. His solo stuff speaks for itself. My favorite Henry song is an OST he did for an incredible kdrama called "While You Were Sleeping" (Yes, it is a reference to the movie.) The song Henry sang for it is called "It's You". I def recommend checking it out on your journey, if you haven't seen it already. He has a video on YT here: ua-cam.com/video/lV-6aaW4tO8/v-deo.html Taemin's feature on "Trap" can also be considered as SM preparing the general public and fans for his own solo debut from SHINee which would happen a little more than a year after this MV was released. In 2013, Taemin was EVERYWHERE and while we didn't have much of a clue what SM was planning, it's clear now in hindsight that SM was strategically getting fans used to Taemin being on his own. As you may know, Taemin is considered the first SM soloist to split off from an active full group (not a subunit) and has now become the standard by which SM plans/measures these kinds of debuts. All of this, from a corporate POV, was a very strategic rollout of a new debut system.
If you want to see an example of Henry's classical music skills I recommend you check out another of his older songs called "Fantastic" so you can see him playing the violin and dancing. If you liked "Trap" I think you are going to really like "Fantastic." Nothing about Henry's musical abilities is fake or an act. He can really play and do everything you see him doing in his performances. You should also watch his violin and piano performance on the variety show Star King ua-cam.com/video/GQqsd3Pba_o/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/y0RAy7VQM6A/v-deo.html And if you want to see what type of musical genius he is you should watch this clip ua-cam.com/video/TCAQ0HiAoEg/v-deo.html. It's a clip from an SM collaboration variety show called "The Snowball Project" and on the program Henry was challenged to play multiple instruments from around the world, which he had never seen or played before. And, as you will see, within minutes Henry was able to pick up the instrument, figure out how to play the notes and play a song on the spot. I truly believe he must have perfect pitch because he can also play any song or tune on almost any instrument after hearing only a few notes.
I thoroughly recommend the English version of this. He's like a kitty in cage, like a puppy in a box on a plane 😂. I love Super Junior and I love Henry, but I find SJM Henry extremely disconcerting because it's so at odds with indie Henry. He had a very unfortunate introduction to the kpop industry because SM tried to add him to Super Junior and the fans were very strongly against it and staged protests. He was never added to the main group because fans in Korea would chant for him to be kicked out every time he went on stage. Boy band was probably not the right fit for him anyway, but it still seems unfair.
you must watch 「believe」by Henry
Never stops the rabbit hole with Henry, you'll be so pleasantly surprised..

The Super Junior rabbit hole is a very fun ride.
Henry sings his first solo song in 4 languages!
Watch him in the drama. Oh, my Venus, he is so cute.
I love Taemin's look in this "Trap" time. This song is so catchy to the ears.
