redundant? absolutely, this kinda reminds me of the 15/12/10/6 foot rule in construction... OSHA(occupational, safety, health, administration) states if you are 15 feet off the floor a harness must be worn, but the OWNERS of the site(site being such as texaco, chevron, etc) says 12 feet off the ground, while the contractors (brown and root, triple sss, etc) says 10 feet, then the SAFETY man for construction site(BOTH the refinery and contractors got together and decided) that 6 feet off the ground.... NOW HERE IS THE REDUNDANCY ON THAT scenario, the fact that if your feet are six feet off the ground harness is latched to the upper back by shoulderblade, the LANYARD is SIX FEET, then youi have the folded FOUR FEET as a breaker, but it still EASILY opens, that is TEN FEE so when your laying on your back with a broken spine you can still fall TWO more feet before the lanyard is fully opened... NOW IN THIS CASE in the video, if you look you have SMALL BLACK RUBBER BUMPERS to let you know when to stop and if u dont ther there is a CONCRETE CURB, and slightly behind that is a FOUR FOOT TALL barrier...

Imagine you are driving a car and you want to see your rear left tire, you cant just stick your head out 35° to the left and 5° down as that would crack your neck causing minor injuries. Side mirrors DO have equipped orientation. But this accessory just reduces the hassle of setting the Side mirrors over and over
