I've had Athelflaed for awhile now. And I was able to ascend her a little. Consistently she outperform other monsters hunters, per se. I've worked on her more than others of course. But at 120M + or so target value, I get a significant amount of injured. Less than a day, but more than I want. I'm not sure why I'm typing this to you really. Your videos are so good! Other nice thing I discovered about Maria Theresa. When you receive the extra parts through Hecate's event. You can ascend her without using blood of ares.
Hey Aka, great video but I hope you don't mind me correcting you on one thing. The assessment that Caesar loses to Maria is just incorrect specifically for the simple reason that Caesar can have the highest monster debuff out of all the monster generals. So Caesar seems really weak when it comes to smaller monsters where the debuff shows little value, but becomes enormous when dealing with monsters of higher levels. With limited testing, I have also figured out there is a max limit to the debuff so people should keep that in mind. When doing world boss, the best possible combination would be Caesar and then Maria as his assistant, while during the week, I do Caesar and Theo for almost perfect double drops. Love your channel so if you would like me to show you a proof or show you some testing, I am happy to help if you don't mind I can get super busy. Also, for reference, my friend and I who were investing in our generals differently (me Caesar and him Martinus), my Caesar was able to zero Y5's way before him. I know that is hard to read since there are so many factors but I thought I would mention it here too.

For bigger stuff I usually run Aethelflaed with Poligenus (built as a Lead for combat cav). I might switch to Napoleon prime, but I havent gotten all his specialties done yet. For secondary, smaller bosses I have great luck with Baibars and some other cav assistant.
Martinus and Napoleon Prime are my top monsters hunters! Everytime World Boss comes along I try other combinations and these 2 always gets the highest score
@@flushing_queens4827 They dissabled monsterdebuff some time back (before they did, it was very helpfull to attack worldboss with subs filled with monsterdebuff generals) The monsterbuffs still work, both on worldboss and alliance boss (I use the same main mounted general for monsterhuning and pvp, I do change out the rurik helmet for the plantagenet for pvp, but on worldboss the rurik gives a much higher score, due to 4 piece setbuff)
Think players should view monster hunters based on if they are the rally setter vs joining rallies. Rally setter should have a pvp cav general as the lead. This is your power. The assistant should add power, help with stamina and monster debuff. The stamina help that Maria gives is what makes her 1st place. And Maria allows for both the mounted attack and mounted monster attack books. If you have 4 or 6 copies to match with the existing pvp mounted generals your stamina inventory will last longer. If your just joining rallies. Theidora is 1st place because her gold book gives 10% luck, specialty 2 gives 15% luck and she can take the luck book. But she is hard to get. As of today Sanada and Spartacus have ascension that give both stamina and double drop. Both allow the luck book and can combo with Nathanael Greene. The new ascension skills for Sanada and Spartacus nurffed Baibars. F2P cities that just join rallies have gotten a great gift from Evony. Combo a 8 star Sanada or Spartacus with Greene as the assistant with the luck book....28% luck and 35% stamina management. 🎉🎉🎉 The best part is you do not need to use any blood of Ares to ascend them😮😮❤😮😮. My mind still can't comprehend the gift, but I'm loving it.😊.
Theo and Maria Theresa are actually compatible together. My setup is Theo with all the mounted books and Theresa with all the monster books as assistant. Neither are ascended for me but it still makes quite a good combo together once the specialties will be maxed out on Maria Theresa
One thing not mentioned is availability - Caesar is available every 1-2 months through the Maya event. In 2-3 years of playing, I've never received Aethelflaed and only had one Theodora, also only luck to receive the other Generals mentioned... Meanwhile I have a 10 star Caesar due to Maya event 😅 Also debuff is massive compared to an extra 20-30% in battle stats. Spend 1b gold in MA, no reduction in wounded but upgrade a specialty to weaken a monster by 5-10%, wounded stops or is reduced massively In end end we work with what we can obtain 🤣 Evony like to see us struggle
love the ending. lol, Theodorah is awesome as an assistant. I have been using her for two years with Martinus. Aethelflaed is ok but feel Theodorah is better as an assistant. I also have Maria and feel she will also be a strong assistant. I wish I had Ceasar though, he looks like a good one with all the debuff.

New to your channel and so far finding a lot of very useful information. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything you do. That said, I recently re did my PVP march presets using your layering guide video and it has made a lot of difference for my arch, ground, and cav. My seige however has not changed much. I was wondering if you had considered doing a seige specific layering video and maybe a comparison of T11 seige marches vs a 12, 13, and 14 seige march, and weather there are different generals that are better for one or the other (meaning are there different generals for t11 seige vs big seige). Who is better is somewhat dependent on what you value in a Monster general, but to be clear, debuff is king when it comes to monsters and Caesar is still the most powerful monster hunter.
Another awesome video Aka, thank you. I have 2 Theodora's and usually use her as assistant for Aethelflaed and Roland. That maxes out the double drop, because Theodora can take the double drop skill additionally. Last event, we were able to get Maria but didn't succeed getting enough score and you can only buy limited amount of packages, so i got 15 fragments and have to wait for the next time this hecate moon event will pop up 🙁
Maria Theresa can take all the monster books. The big guy in my alliance has her. Very good breakdown of monster generals. The issue I have with monster generals is the cost of Evony in general. Putting BoA and rune stones into them is costly. Also getting an extra 15 copies of said general so you can receive all those extra goodies. I don't even know how to get 15 copies of Theodora reliably Aethelflaed you have to get lucky in Dawn of Civilization and if you purchased that ever you know your gonna get everyone you don't want first so getting 15 copies of her is difficult Apptoid code or not. So you gotta do all of that for a moster general and a PvP general. Now 1 player explained why it might be worthwhile. Killing monsters is what you do the most of in the game. I'm not sure if that's a good reason to commit so many resources into one but maybe.
Great video; sorry if it's been mentioned specifically but the other Theodora advantage is that she's the only Double Drop General that can ALSO take a Luck Skill Book for another 18% Double Drop... but my Theodora is only showing 10% Doublle Drop on her Special Skill, not 20%. Does anyone know why?
Interesting comparisons. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that rather than looking at the general individually, you need to take a holistic view. That is the combination of main and assistant along with their gear. By doing that, I bet your results may be different.
Vip level affects total double drop, so as you game & vip progress priorities change. I currently prefer my Nathaniel stamina with Quo speed boost over double drop boost
Yes, double drop increases with vip level, but that’s a universal increase for all of your generals. Getting more double drop is always a good thing imo 😇 Personally, for monsters, I prioritize double drops over everything else 😁👍
Maria can take, all monster books ATK, DEF, HP, and also cavs Attack book, plus drouble drop book 🎉 I only use her as Assistant general to Napoleon btw.
Aethel can add the regular mounted attack/def/hp books also, giving her some more of each. I pair Martinus with Aethel as assistant for monsters and then a different assistant for mounted pvp.
I run a Baibars assisted by an Aethelfled. Double drops galore. Baibars is my legacy general. I also run an Aethelfled with Maria. Great for stam decrease. I run my main cav general with a Caesar. Theodora is garbage in comparison. Keep in mind monster def and HP really don’t do too much. I’ve only seen a reduction of a few troops. Ultimately you need as high an attack as possible. Then some monster def and hp debuffs.
So I have Maria and aethelfled. I have aethelfled at 3 stars Marie with 0. I tested both as an assistant and Maria is not fully cultivated aethelfled is and Maria gets me a higher world boss score than aethel fled
I actually use Maria as an assistant to Alf. Plus Maria can use the Monster attack book, I have her on her and it looks really nice. However as an assistant with that book on there it doesn't work with Alf.
Hey Aka, did you see they just added ascension to a few purple generals? Now you can get stamina reduction with Sanada, and it stacks with Nathaniel Greene.
Maria can take Monster Attack book. She can also take Monster Defense and Monster HP. EDIT: Maria also pairs with all three of the other monster generals.
As a non-coiner, Caesar is easy to get and is a great choice since his base skill is pretty good compared to other generals.. I also can't get Aaefleatheadahesahfaead. I nearly had Maria in the first event she was available, I was only 100 things from getting her and couldn't kill the crimson B15 it summoned. Didn't know I could keep the items until the next event, so I've done that this round; not summoned anything and keeping the items to have twice as many chances.
People are sleeping on some things with monsters, I am happy because I found out how to kill much stronger monsters then my level should allows me. And on this list I can say Caesar is by far strongest.
I believe monster debuffs are additive. So calculated after all other buffs. Since attack is the only stat that matters for killing without wounds, ceasar would probably be the 2nd best. Maria can take all books so she is the clear winner. But very difficuilt to ascend
Maria Theresa is by far the easiest one to ascend! Not only are her fragments easily available during the Hekate event, but she doesn't cost BoA to ascend, only the fragments. And you don't have to finish a round to get torches. Granted, finishing a round makes getting torches easier, as you get 40 as a prize for each round you finish, but you also get torches for each monster in the round you kill and if you've been lucky enough to get Trivia Hekate, you get more torches just for owning her.
I can't ascend any of these premium event generals so those stats don't help. I just got Theresa. I put her as assistant to my Roland which gives me a better boost than Zhao and the stamina reduction of Greene. I am very happy. And she can take any skill book
I think that’s perfectly fine. Most of us, myself included, can not afford to ascend all the premium generals we get 😅 And congrats on getting Maria 🥳🥳
@RedEvony yes, but Theo also has a double drop in her main skill, as well as specialty. If you decide double drop is your priority, she's the queen in that regard.
The strongest combination is Napoleon Prime with André Masséna as assistant, especially if you have one fully ascended, both with maxed Specialities and their full covenant unlocked Put the Monster Attacking, March Size and Luck books on him, he gives you 30% March Increase which is HUGE
Thanks for this extended review. To me it's abundantly clear that you don't use Caesar as monster Hunter. I don't know about the new general yet, but he is by far better than aethelflaed and Theodora. You skip the part of monster debuff very quickly, but that is where he outranks every other general when you consider monsters. Monsters are killed in rounds so if you kill them in first round you will get no wounded.. nothing to heal and defense and hp don't matter anymore, as those only lower wounded. At a certain point mounted attack is very hard to get and every percentage needs to be hardly earned. If you translate the power of a monster in attack percentage, let's say 2000% needed to kill in one round. Then 1 % debuff equals 20% attack. I leave it to you to redo the math. If you care about double drop, just put blue bird on him, it will still make him strongest around with a certain double drop. Didn't cover the options for the AG that can also differ. In short, the basic stats comparison do not apply in this situation if you don't value the monster debuff correct. I experience his excellence every day.
For big bosses use Caesar as assistant to ascended Aethelflaed. She is much more abundant than Caesar. His 4th specialty defense Debuff prevents/ reduces wounded For smaller bosses always use Theodora or baibars for the double drop!! 🎉
Also.... I am so disappointed because of something that I was told: When Napoleon came out, I was told that he would do a better job in killing monsters than the Caesar that I was using. After getting Napoleon to 10 stars, and using a ton of runestones in him, and with his skin..... He is no better than Caesar (who has no red stars)
The problem with Caesar is that he requires a dragon. If you have a spare dragon that you could use on him, then that’s cool 👍 Otherwise, I’d prefer Maria or Aethelflaed 😊👌
-15% attack debuff makes less wounded than havin fully speciailzed Zhao as assitant, test proved. No clear tests for monster def debbuff. Defennce not working agains monster tho, not worth to mention defence. Aethe better than Zhao as assistant
If boss monster march theory was simply stats alone, you could just post the spreadsheet, but why not discuss that. If you want to kill a boss without wounded (because killing a boss with wounded is a waste of resources), then HP matters little. To kill a boss monster with 0 wounded, you have to kill it in the first round (player attack). This is why Monster defense debuff is huge, HUGE. So, based on that, attack stats, monster defense debuff should be a priority. I would like to take credit for this, but this was all tested by Ora, and her advice turned me on to it. I do much better with a base Sanada as an assistant (monster books) than I do with my two best pvp generals. I was dumbfounded. but the best way to know... test.
theo also takes the 2x drop book, bringing her up to 43% double drop, this is more important than the rest of the stats, i have multiple copies of her, use her as an assistant & rake in the 2x loot all the way to the bank & dont look back! you shouldnt be hunting monsters you cant kill in 1 shot anyway, lol.
Aka, I felt disappointed. The data you shared is not completely OK. How can you miss that chilly calculation? Aethelflaed data is wrong. it's Attack=155, defense=180, HP=130. she can take 25% mounted troop attack, 45% mounted troop defense&HP against monster skill book.
When I do general comparisons, I don’t include stats from skill books UNLESS there is a clear reason to do so, like I showed in the video with Theodora and the monster attack book. Yes, I know that Aethel can take the regular mounted attack book and the monster defense and HP books, but so can Caesar and Theodora (and also Maria). 👌
Why the hell would I get Thedora or Cesar. If I just get Afthled and Bibars I have a bang for my Buck item drop. I’m not saying they are top end but monster grind needs that greater than 50% double item drop. Unless you coin, then spend your money all you want.

As a non-coiner, Caesar is easy to get and is a great choice since his base skill is pretty good compared to other generals.. I also can't get Aaefleatheadahesahfaead.
I nearly had Maria in the first event she was available, I was only 100 things from getting her and couldn't kill the crimson B15 it summoned. Didn't know I could keep the items until the next event, so I've done that this round; not summoned anything and keeping the items to have twice as many chances.
Why do I not get the stamina decrease when using Sanada as an assistant general??

People are sleeping on some things with monsters, I am happy because I found out how to kill much stronger monsters then my level should allows me. And on this list I can say Caesar is by far strongest.

Dumb question, for Lady A, take all of the Mounted attack books, not monster books?
I believe monster debuffs are additive. So calculated after all other buffs. Since attack is the only stat that matters for killing without wounds, ceasar would probably be the 2nd best. Maria can take all books so she is the clear winner. But very difficuilt to ascend
Maria Theresa is by far the easiest one to ascend! Not only are her fragments easily available during the Hekate event, but she doesn't cost BoA to ascend, only the fragments. And you don't have to finish a round to get torches. Granted, finishing a round makes getting torches easier, as you get 40 as a prize for each round you finish, but you also get torches for each monster in the round you kill and if you've been lucky enough to get Trivia Hekate, you get more torches just for owning her.
I just do not know how to weigh the "monster" buffs against "regular" buffs.
Aren't Nathaniel Greene and Baibars considered monster generals too? They have the same buffs and debuffs to one extent or another
It was easy to get enough sanada fragments for 10 stars. Pretty good ascension buffs.
Does ascension matter for rally joiners? For the lead general?
I can't ascend any of these premium event generals so those stats don't help. I just got Theresa. I put her as assistant to my Roland which gives me a better boost than Zhao and the stamina reduction of Greene. I am very happy. And she can take any skill book

Most of us, myself included, can not afford to ascend all the premium generals we get 😅

Theodora can also accept the luck skill book. With specialty maxed, that puts her at 43%. I don't know anyone higher at the moment.

@RedEvony yes, but Theo also has a double drop in her main skill, as well as specialty. If you decide double drop is your priority, she's the queen in that regard.

The strongest combination is Napoleon Prime with André Masséna as assistant, especially if you have one fully ascended, both with maxed Specialities and their full covenant unlocked
Put the Monster Attacking, March Size and Luck books on him, he gives you 30% March Increase which is HUGE
My opinion- A waste to use the the best mounted combination for monster hunting.

Thanks for this extended review. To me it's abundantly clear that you don't use Caesar as monster Hunter. I don't know about the new general yet, but he is by far better than aethelflaed and Theodora. You skip the part of monster debuff very quickly, but that is where he outranks every other general when you consider monsters. Monsters are killed in rounds so if you kill them in first round you will get no wounded.. nothing to heal and defense and hp don't matter anymore, as those only lower wounded. At a certain point mounted attack is very hard to get and every percentage needs to be hardly earned. If you translate the power of a monster in attack percentage, let's say 2000% needed to kill in one round. Then 1 % debuff equals 20% attack. I leave it to you to redo the math. If you care about double drop, just put blue bird on him, it will still make him strongest around with a certain double drop. Didn't cover the options for the AG that can also differ. In short, the basic stats comparison do not apply in this situation if you don't value the monster debuff correct. I experience his excellence every day.
All monster books on Aethel??? What assistant is best with her?
For big bosses use Caesar as assistant to ascended Aethelflaed. She is much more abundant than Caesar. His 4th specialty defense Debuff prevents/ reduces wounded For smaller bosses always use Theodora or baibars for the double drop!! 🎉
Maria can take the monster attack, defense and HP skill books. Her weak spot is double drop.

Maria Theresa requires no blood of Ares to ascend. And yes you can put monster attack on her.

Also.... I am so disappointed because of something that I was told: When Napoleon came out, I was told that he would do a better job in killing monsters than the Caesar that I was using. After getting Napoleon to 10 stars, and using a ton of runestones in him, and with his skin..... He is no better than Caesar (who has no red stars)

The problem with Caesar is that he requires a dragon. If you have a spare dragon that you could use on him, then that’s cool 👍

I guess Baibars wasn't even worth mentioning, lol. I still like using him as an assistant General for his double item drop rate.

-15% attack debuff makes less wounded than havin fully speciailzed Zhao as assitant, test proved. No clear tests for monster def debbuff. Defennce not working agains monster tho, not worth to mention defence. Aethe better than Zhao as assistant

If boss monster march theory was simply stats alone, you could just post the spreadsheet, but why not discuss that. If you want to kill a boss without wounded (because killing a boss with wounded is a waste of resources), then HP matters little. To kill a boss monster with 0 wounded, you have to kill it in the first round (player attack). This is why Monster defense debuff is huge, HUGE. So, based on that, attack stats, monster defense debuff should be a priority. I would like to take credit for this, but this was all tested by Ora, and her advice turned me on to it. I do much better with a base Sanada as an assistant (monster books) than I do with my two best pvp generals. I was dumbfounded. but the best way to know... test.
Theodora can take LV 4 double drop book ....25%+18% double drop 🤯

theo also takes the 2x drop book, bringing her up to 43% double drop, this is more important than the rest of the stats, i have multiple copies of her, use her as an assistant & rake in the 2x loot all the way to the bank & dont look back! you shouldnt be hunting monsters you cant kill in 1 shot anyway, lol.

Caesar is still on top imo. Granted you need a dragon for him, but 30% defense debuff at 7th star + maxed specs is very good.
With Ceasar what if you include the actual stats the dragon adds?

Aka, I felt disappointed. The data you shared is not completely OK. How can you miss that chilly calculation? Aethelflaed data is wrong. it's Attack=155, defense=180, HP=130. she can take 25% mounted troop attack, 45% mounted troop defense&HP against monster skill book.
When I do general comparisons, I don’t include stats from skill books UNLESS there is a clear reason to do so, like I showed in the video with Theodora and the monster attack book.
Yes, I know that Aethel can take the regular mounted attack book and the monster defense and HP books, but so can Caesar and Theodora (and also Maria). 👌
Why the hell would I get Thedora or Cesar. If I just get Afthled and Bibars I have a bang for my Buck item drop. I’m not saying they are top end but monster grind needs that greater than 50% double item drop. Unless you coin, then spend your money all you want.
Theodora should replace your baibars as assistant. The luck book and 2nd specialty give her the edge.
