The emperor : "I ll directly intervene to make sure that Guilliman has a good childhood"
Malcador : "What about Angron sir ?"
The emperor : "Who ?"
I'm assuming that the Emperor could only find and help a FEW of the Primarchs, like Alpharius, Horus, Magnus and Guilliman. Otherwise, it wouldn't have taken years to find all of them if he knew where ALL of them had winded up from the start.
Theres also a Plot hole that Angron was located near Ultramar Sector. So in Essence, Guilliman could have saved Angron. If Ultramar started conquering nearby worlds, there was a chance Agnron could have been saved. But then again, the whole dark eldar wounded Angron enough to be captured was just a stupid plot to make Angron traitor due to the nails.
Rogal Dorn was raised by his surrogate grandfather who adopted him into the House of Dorn in Inwit and he fondly held his grandpa's blanket as a memento even though he became a massive man towering above humans and Space Marines.
Dorn was a man who felt deep rage and devotion. But his greatest characteristic is that he had the self discipline to try to rise above his demons. I think part of it is due to Inwit's need of an utilitarian mindset, but I think also in great part due to his grandpa's example.
Vulkan: raising a horrifically deadly animal because he wants to boop the snoot
Important point is that Bobby G was the only one of them to have a Dad & a Mom, as Teresha Euten was the Chamberlain of the Palaca but c'mon, she was as close as a motherly figure as they get. Also, she was the only parent figure of a Primarch to survive until the Heresy, and one of the few people able to tell a Primarch "You are being a stupid asshole" to the face. I think it informs greatly of Guilliman's character the fact that he had that figure growing up AND being a General of a Galactic Conquest.
It's a shame we never got confirmation of what eventually happened to her.
Konrad Curze nearly killed her but she was save by Vulkan at the last minute.
Last we hear of her is she's on a ship trying to escape the planet and the ship was boarded by Night Lords...
Teresha: "Robute you are looking so thin. Are you eating well? I will make sure to get you some vegetables in your next meal."
Robute: "Mom please, you are embarrassing me in front of my brothers."
Vulkan: "I too would like some vegetables."
Fulgrim had a mom and dad too, but he grew up in poverty since his parents could barely keep themselves alive. They passed away by the time he joined the great crusade. He had fond memories of them, and even understands that they gave him all that they could.
@@GhostBear3067Even though I know it's a joke, I find this line extremely plausible within a conversation involving these three.
Especially the way Vulkan casually and politely responds, "I want some too" 😂😂😂
Can we get art commissions of all the primarchs as kids? Seeing Lion go ape-mode on a chaos beast is cool. I'm sure the others would be as well.
After listening to some of Primarchs' childhood from The Amber King, I thought about making artwork of their childhood.
@crxcify1x Majorkill is the one with the patreon full of hentai. Instead of commissioning nude Eldar how about something cool jackass
“It’s hard to think of the primarchs as children” Perty and Fulgrim exist.
I kind of wondered if part of the reason the Lion hated Konrad Cruze so much was because Cruze was a dark reflection of himself. They both grew up feral after all only there was no Luther to civilize Cruze.
In the short story 'Savage Weapons' The Lion says that he always thought he and Curze should've been the closest due to their similarly solitary & savage upbringing. It seemed like he was more sad than anything that they ended up on opposite sides of the heresy.
@@daddymothmaster2920perhaps pity for brother twisted by an isolation he himself was saved from. The rivalry with Leman is interesting as both were feral boys that were later civilized (yet one extroverted and the other extremely introverted)
@@gideonmele1556
The reflection is more than that. Both wore masks to hide their true self.
The introvert, The Lion barely knew how to handle human interactions led to terrible decisions. His mask is the knight image as He felt more at home in the forrest of Caliban among the beasts.
The extrovert, the Wolf King knew everything about human interactions. His mask is the barbarian pesona to hide the extremely refined man inside.
Actually, the hidden aspects of them are iconic image of each others in public mind
The reason Corax was scared of Curze was because he thought the only difference between him and Curze was a handful of adult influences vs. no influences at all.
If Corax had landed on Nostramo and Curze on Deliverance each would probably have turned out like the other.
The lion felt kinship with Konrad bc they both grew up alone.
Corvus Corax is the one with that dynamic with Curze. They are both made to slip between shadows as a blade in the dark, for Corax the hatred comes from the fact he sees himself within Konrad and that worries him, the idea of losing himself to depravity.
Curze hates Corax because he is his superior reflection, and hated that while he haunted the night, Corax owned it.
Clonegrim: I was born in a bucket then raised by my son to be a paperweight in a museum world of paperweights.
Pert had his bouts of amnesia as a child probably because his mind being able to instantly know everything about literally anything he looked at, had huge surges of knowledge that overhwhelmed him, and his mind likely tried to accomodate by dumping all his memories.
If Guilliman had been adopted by Forest Raiders than he would have become the greatest Guerilla Warfare master ever.
would have turned forest raiders into a stellar empire.
while other primarchs play company of heroes.
guilliman plays sim city. he was always diplomacy over warfare.
It’s a little known fact that Medusa is as close, if not alrighty closer, to the Eye of Terror as Caliban. The Lion had to grow up and deal with Chaos-mutated beasts, and therefore I believe that the mech-wraiths, zombie cyborgs, technical constructs, and corrupted AIs Ferrus grew up fighting could all be products of Warp corruption
Ferrus probably had the most interesting childhood. I imagine him, deep with active volcanoes, often times surrounded by magma. Sometimes in barren canyons, that are sandblasted by vicious winds. Even in deep underground chambers, illuminated by ancient green lights, fighting off long forgotten AI constructs. And of course, occasionally picking up the trail of the great wyrm Asirnoth.
One can imagine all the knowledge he learned in these technological caverns left by the Necrons or from the Golden Age of Mankind.

I'm pretty sure there's a line horus says about the lion reminding him who's the 1st legion primarch it's in the book where he speaks with a remembrancer of dealing with his brothers after his ascension to warmaster
That little girl who got accosted by the guard that was subsequently slain by Corvus Corax is actually Nasturi Ephrenia, who would not only be a sister-figure to Corvus Corax but would later grow up to become the Shipmaster of the Raven Guard Legion's Battle Barge called 'Avenger'.

A video on how each Primarch would fair against a true Krork would be nice
Pretty terribly i imagine sense the beast that killed vulkan was only a half krok and that motherfucker nearly destroyed the imperium so bar sanguinias or magnus they would all die
@@LRodz279 fairly well actually the usual weaklings like lorgar and alike would die but we have to consider the fact that while vulkan is the strongest primarch that does not mean that his the best at combat i think alot of the primarchs would fair alot better than him but still a few would die
Well .. i would actually consider all the primarch to still be kids rly sure they are fully grown physically but thats supposed to be only half of their being other half is supposed to be warp based and they dont rly show many of those abilities only recently corvus seems to have awakened his warp side and fking beat the shit out of lorgar so ... fully developed primarch with his earp side i would say can beat a krork otherwise they get rekt by a full krork

The fact The Emperor intervened in Guilliman's childhood proves to me that he knew at least a few of the Primarchs would stay loyal during the Heresy.
I've come to the conclusion that Big E knew the heresy would happen, there was no preventing it, but he needed certain Primarchs loyal to at least give humanity a chance.
@@Pass_The_Remote Well yeah, isn't it accepted that the big E knew whoever he appointed war master would turn traitor, which is why the lion (the obvious best candidate) didn't get the title.
Then Magnus ruined everything by destroying the web way project. Shoulda just turned traitor with Horus instead of trying to “help” his father.
Big E whenever a Primarch is in Trouble: I Ded

It's not that clear if it was the Emperor's intervention or Konor's own foresight though
@@kuafer3687 It was definitely intervention. Konor receives visions of a man in bronze armour.
How each pre-heresy primarch would react to the current imperium when placed in Gullimans shoes would be s cool video idea
i think one of the many problems with the Primarchs was that they grew up too quickly.
the emperor designed them to reach full maturity unfathomably quickly. this i feel is where the emperor went wrong because this has left the Primarchs so emotionally stunted. They may be ultra badass Demi-gods but at the end of the day they all have the minds of children because all of their raw emotions are amplified.
i also have a feeling that the Emperor intervened in Gulliman's origin's because he forseaw the empire that Gulliman would build and he knew that he could potentially rival the Imperium himself.
"Who knew having a more stable childhood with caring parent(s) and guidance during the formative child-adolescent years would have a positive impact on their development?!" Good job Big E & Malcador
Now I can't stop thinking about a traitorous Guilliman with this twisted evil Robinhood theme. Adopted by those aforementioned forest folk instead. Imagine chaos or traitor guilliman, with his classic organizational skills and blue tone, but now make him a mutated freak of nature in the face weilding an immense power bow-possibly of Intarec design. He could have had a Robinhood-like journey of tearing the rich from their decadence, but his desire to bring the powerful down put him in conflict with the Emperor, and he fought agaisnt him. In a battle, let's say, against a loyalist Mortarian, he is about to die but pulls a Magnus and cries out for chaos to save him. Nurgle or Khorne answers and horrible twisted plants begin springing from Guilliman, and from a cloud of noxious fumes a new vulpine face replaces Guilliman's scarred human one.
Hrod Guilliman! Daemon Prince of Nurgel. Primarch of the Ultrahunters Traitor/Chaos Astartes Legion.

Honestly I think angron gets shot on the most and it's not even his fault, at least not most of it. I blame the Eldar for the galaxies biggest problems from slannesh to angron.
The Heresy was inevitable. Had Angron not fallen to Khorne another Primarch would have fallen instead
@@christiandauz3742 Nothing is inevitable, the Emperor certainly didn't think so, that's just smoke and mirrors chaos spews to trap people within "fate" and prophecy that they hold all the winning threads to.
You have to realize that angron’s Primarchs power allowed him to essentially lessen the effects of extreme emotion, negating the corrupting influence of two of the gods. Essentially, if angron hadn’t fallen he would’ve been influential in preventing the fall of Primarchs such as perterabo, sanguinius, mortarion, and possibly magnus as angron would act as a calming influence for his brothers.

another day, another majorkill primarch video.
I initially read the title as "How did each Primarch speed their childhood" and thought it was entirely about Jaghatai
I enjoy every new way you take the piss on the lost Primarchs
I like the fact that great crusade era primarchs are essentially teenagers in massive titan killing bodies
I guess I can share some trivial stuff about the upbringing of the Primarchs. Trivial, yes, but you can try using them to flex over your friends if you wish. (Long comment ahead, you have been warned)
Lion El'Jonson - There's a big "what if" factor between the Lion and Luther, since new lore has established that Luther lost his family (his wife and daughter) prior to meeting the Lion. Which both explains a lot, and adds more questions into the mix.
Fulgrim - Fulgrim is the only known Primarch to have been married in canon, multiple times in fact. Unfortunately, since none of his spouses were transcendent beings like him, it did play into feeding Fulgrim's pride and distance from humanity.
Perturabo - Contrary to common perception, there was one person that did try to reach out to him: his foster sister Calliphone. Following in 40K tradition, it all went to heck in a handbasket when Olympia revolted, and Calliphone was on the rebels' side (and Perty personally strangling her after she called him out on his BS).
Jaghatai Khan - The Khan's disagreement with the Emperor was kind of already hinted before He found him. "You're the strongest, no one to oppose you, so all you do is build bigger walls". The Emperor retiring to work on his Webway project could have been the catalyst to corrupt the Khan, but luckily for us, the Khan had the maturity and sense not to give in.
Leman Russ - We never did definitely find out what happened to Freki and Geri, the name of Russ' wolf brothers. We know one of them is dead, murder at the hands of Magnus during the Burning of Prospero, but no names were given. We do know one has a black pelt, the other a white one.
Rogal Dorn - Inwit was described as an interstellar empire, not unlike Ultramar, so it's kind of surprising 40K has not explored this place yet. Although, given that Violeta Roskavler, a High Lord and the current Master of the Administratum, is from Inwit, we may get to see more of this place in the future (and maybe Rogal's return, but who am I kidding).
Konrad Curze - The really messed up thing was that Konrad literally ATE his first kill's brains, and through that, learned through the dead person's memories just how much of a hellish landscape Nostramo truly is.
Sanguinius - Surprisingly for the most popular loyalist Primarch, we actually know very little about Sanguinius' childhood and upbringing beyond a passage describing how he landed on Baal, was nearly executed for his wings, and how he ascended to the leader of the human tribes until the Emperor showed up.
Ferrus Manus - Another "what if" scenario in play, except that Ferrus was found first by the humans on Medusa instead of confronting whatever he did that ended up with his literal iron hands. Perhaps it would have saved his life when facing Fulgrim, getting some help instead of doing it all by himself.
Angron - The Butcher's Nails were implanted as punishment when Angron refused to kill his adoptive father. Contrary to belief, pre-Butcher's Nails Angron was very bro-tier to his fellow enslaved gladiators, and was even a psyker who used his powers to absorb their nightmares so they can sleep well. The Butcher's Nails definitely removed that portion of his brain, creating the berserker we know and fear today.
Roboute Guilliman - The irony of the Hexarchy coup that occurred after Guilliman took control of the Senatorium Imperialis was that this was the plot that ended the life of Guilliman's adoptive father, Konor. The goal was the same, a group of disgruntled nobles upset that their power and privileges were taken away, so they seek to regain it through force. Guilliman KNEW it was coming, and just let them go about (and fail), hence why he did not change the entire High Lords lineup.
Mortarion - Mortarion is the one Primarch we can confirm that was (technically) raised by xenos. Necare, the Overlord of Barbarus was said to be some kind of alien that wielded necromantic powers, which solidified Mortarion's hate for psychic abilities, since he hated the person. Necare's soul is currently held prisoner by the now-ascended Daemon Prince.
Magnus - The ironic thing is that even though the Emperor warned Magnus constantly about the dangers of the Warp, what the Inquisition currently knows about the nature of the Eye of Terror came from manuscripts written by Magnus himself, which the Prosperans call "the Great Ocean".
Horus - The name we are familiar with the Archtraitor is actually his "kill name", a cultural trait with the gangs of Cthonia. The Primarch's first name was "Nergui", which meant "no name" in Mongolian (ironic, considering which Primarch got the Mongolian motif in his design).
Lorgar - Another messed up upbringing, cause Kor Phaeron had planned to "un-alive" Lorgar if he was no longer of use to him, since it's kind of hinted that Kor Phaeron knew Lorgar was something beyond human. Why Lorgar refused to kill him after all the mistreatment he took under Kor Phaeron's "care" is a mystery.
Vulkan - Another "what if" scenario if instead of being adopted, Vulkan did end up thrown into a volcano for being a bad omen. Chaos fanboys would have a field day if compassion can be used to corrupt more followers to their side.
Corvus Corax - Guilliman is not the only Primarch who grew up with maternal figures. The most prominent one is a surrogate older sister, Nasturi Ephrenia, who can get away with talking down to Corax. She worked as a shipmaster during the Great Crusade, but given 10 millennia has passed, I do not foresee her surviving to the present day.
Alpharius Omegon - Another Primarch whose limelight was stolen by freaking Horus. Horus may have been the most public face of the Heresy, but it was Lorgar was tempted by the Ruinous Powers first. Similarly, Horus was always established as the first Primarch discovered in official canon, but Alpharius' new backstory says otherwise. We may never know.

The qualities you instill in a child will always shape the adult they become.
Our flaws, as adults, almost always come-down to how we were shaped as children.
Nobody wants to admit that, because parenting in the modern world is a ridiculously impossible undertaking to do correctly. But, it's 100% the truth.
Prior to WW2, in the USA, families spent LOTS OF TIME with their children. Now, however, an apathetic education system basically raises children.
