I love the musical Heathers more then the movie because like Veronica is wayyyyy more regretful alsoooo JD in the musical seems to actually love Veronica. Obviously in a very psychopathic way, but I feel in the movie JD just doesn't love Veronica, like it feels more like he was just manipulating the only person that showed any interest in him. But in the musical ofc he's still hella manipulative and psychotic, he just like actually shows affection to Veronica. Not like freaking burning her with those lighters in the car like the movie, if that makes any sense
