Stop praising Rafi who was just an average copybook singer with no improvisation at all. Kishore Kumar WAS / IS / WILL FOREVER BE the best male playback singer of Bollywood. Rafi was no where near the class of Kishore Da who was the ONLY TRUE GENIUS of Bollywood. To prove it I will give just one record of Kishore Kumar who sang 204 songs for Jeetendra and Rafi sang only 104 songs. There are hundreds of suych records where Rafi does not stand anywhere.
Jeetendra can't become yard stick of measuring popularity. The index of popularity should be measured by taking into consideration the stalwarts viz. Shammi kapoor , Rajendrakumar, Dilipkumar , Dharmendra, Raajkumar , Bharat bhushan( O duniya kae rakhwale, Man tadpat Hari darshan) , Shshikapoor , Biswajeet , Joy Mukherjee, Sunil Dutt Sanjeev kumar ( khilona Jan kar tum) , Raaj Kapoor ( Barsat , Amber , Do Ustad ) and surprisingly also for Kishoreji sahab himself ( Ajab hai dastan teri ai zindgi , Man mora Bawra and other songs) Dev Anand ( several hit songs ,for example Hum bekhudi mae tumko , Khoya Khoya Chand, Tu kahan ye bata , Tere mere sapne aab ek rang , Din dhal jaye hai raat na jaye , Sathi na koi manzil , Rimjhim ke tarane , Dil ka bhanwar kare pukar , dekhiye dekhiye ghaurr sae phir dekhiye etc etc ) Pradeep kumar ( songs of Taaj mahal , Bhigi raat etc.Apart from these , for the most difficult song of Mukaddar ka sikander , Haathi mere sathi Mohd Rafi had to be called..Rafisaab was all-rounder. Starting from classical , semi classical, romantic , ghazal , patriotic songs , Bhajan , qawwali , comedy, and what not.?

Both Kishore Da and Rafiji's songs were not melodious but full of Noise pollution. SAY FOR example RAfiji's songs picturised on Shammi Kapoor are mostly noise pollution When some songs of Kishor da picturised on New Heros are noise Pollution , No room for melodious songs..
