Qul Lilladhi Laamanii (Say to those who blamed me) - Sidi Muhammad al-Buzidi ash-Shadhili ق

قُلْ لِلَّذِي َلَامَنِي
Qul Lilladhi Laamanii
Say to those who blamed me
سيدي محمّد بن الحبيب البوزيدي
Sidi Muhammad al-Buzidi ash-Shadhili ق
the murshid of Shaykh Ahmad al-Alawi ash-Shadhili ق
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَفْنَى الْعَبْد وَيَبْقَى اللَّهُ
There is no god except Allah
The servant annihilates yet Allah subsists
قُلْ لِلَّذِي َلَامَنِي فِيهَا وَعَنَّفَنِي حَيْثُ لَمْ يَعْرِفْ شَانِي لِذَاكَ هُوَ الْمَعْذُور
Say to those who blamed me and chided me for loving Him
Considering that he knows not my affair For that, he is excused
لَوْ عَرَفَ عُذَّالِي حَقِيقَةَ الْوِصَالِ لَصَارُوا مِثْلَ حَالِي وَلَكِنْ جَرَى الْمَقْدُور
If he knows my reason the Truth of my connection
They would be in my state Yet, what is predestined have occurred
جَلَسْنَا عَلَى حَضْرَة مَعَ مُلُوكِ الْخَمْرَة مِنْ عَجَائِبِ الْقُدْرَة كَأْسُهَا عَنْهَا يَدُورُ
We sat in the gathering of Presence With the Kings of Wine
From the wonders of Decree Circulating the glass around her
فَيَا طَالِبَ الْهَوَى وَالْغَيْبَ عَنِ السِّوَى أَنَا صَاحِبُ الدَّوَى أَنَا الطَّبِيبُ الْمَشْهُور
O Seeker of Desire And the unseen aside from Him
I am the owner of the medicine I am the famous doctor
هَذِي لَيْلَى قَدْ بَدَتْ بَالْحُسْنِ تَلَوَّنَتْ لِبَعْضِهَا ظَهَرَتْ وَبَطَنَتْ فِي الظُّهُورِ
This is Layla who has unveiled herself With beauty she painted
For some she manifested And yet she still hid in manifestation
نَحْنُ فِي مَذْهَبِ الْغَرَامِ أَذِلَّه إِنْ أَقَمْنَا عَلَى الْحَبِيبِ أَدِلَّه
We are humble in the doctrine of yearning
as we established proofs in front of the Beloved
كَيْفَ يَظْهَرُ لِلْعُقُولِ سِوَاهُ وَسَنَاهُ كَسَا الْعَوَالِمَ جُمْلَه
How does one with his reason not see everything but Him
Yet His Radiance cloaks the realms entirely
فَتَرَاهُ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ تَرَاهُ فَهُوَ الْكُلُّ دَائِمًا مَا أَجَلَّه
So, you see Him in everything you see
For He is entirely always the Most Majestic
فَافْنَ فِيهِ صَبَابَةً وَهُيَامًا إِنَّمَا الْصَبُّ مَنْ يَعِيشُ مُولَّه
Annihilate in Him in yearning and longing
For only yearning enlivens one
إِنْ تَرْضَ بِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ حِبَّا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا دُونَهُ سَرَابُ
Why are you satisfied with other than Allah as the Beloved
Everything except Him is mirage
نَصَحْتُكَ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكَ نِسْبَة أَهْلُ الذِّكْرِ بِمَحْبُوبِهِمْ غَابُوا
I counseled you if you ascribed to yourself
People of remembrance are with their beloved, annihilated
فَلَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا بِذَوِي الْقُرْبَى لَيْسَ لَهُمْ عَنِ الْحَقِّ حِجَابُ
There is no life except with spiritual kinship
They are not veiled from the Truth
فَنِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ لِلنِّدَاءِ لَبَّى عِنْدَمَا أَتَاهُ مِنَّا الْخِطَابُ
The best of servants are those who answered the Call
When the Speech drew close to him from us

As-salaamu 'alaykum. I'm very interested into the Shadhillia tareeqah. I got a few questions though. In the poem it says 'so you see Him in everything you see'. Does this mean dhikr (or something similar to that) or a pantheism (believing Allah subhana ta ala is the world aodhubillah).

Salam brother/sister,
I believe it refers to what is known as the levels of meaning of Lailahailallah, which are:
Nothing is worthy of worship except Allah
Nothing is sought except Allah
Nothing truly exists except Allah
Nothing is witnessed except Allah (meaning, His traits and attributes manifesting)
There are many others as well. Hope this helps!

@@carlsmith3709 the wiridul aam is for the masses done in the mornings and evenings. In general, specific wirids such as the hizbul bahr is then recommended to have ijazah.

@@shadhiliyyahsg I just ordered the invocations of the shadhili order book written by nuh ha mean keller.
I will try to recite them and become fimiliar with them. Maybe then I can find ijazah by Allah's grace.
