Love the old pages. I have boxes of Readers Digest magazines from the 40’s and haven’t quite had the courage to rip and shred them yet because they r so interesting to read. Such a different way of life back then. And btw these magazines were taken from the attic in my old house...they were used with sawdust for insulation!

I was in a used book store near me. few years ago and found 4 huge vintage coffee table German books. They were mail order subscription in the day. Has great German advertisements, photos of artwork etc really cool.
Same store I found a small Hebrew American and a French dictionary and recently drum roll please, I found Japanese language training books from 1940s. Of course I had to buy all of the Japanese books which were 11
Just yesterday, I found a hole in the wall little thrift shop and bought a big stack of vintage books for only $10.00
lol my poor craft room where oh where do I put it all.
I am slowly building foreign language ephemera stash lol. I swear this is addictive!!! Lol

Thanks for all the fun ideas, Pam. While you work, I'm cutting chapter numbers out of an old book I removed covers from to use on a book I'm making. When those numbers are a good size, I use them for my book pages, I do a journal a month for myself and number the pages. Also cut out any blank pages, lots of good paper. I have some old magazines in the garage, I'll check them out next!!

I love old phone books They don't have to be that old because the have remained the same forever. Also, if you don't have a line stamp but you have some cardboard from a packing box just cut it down to the size you need and peel the top layer away. This will expose the lines and you can use it for a stamp, I have also cut down the trays that cookies come in. The lines on them work great also.

I have a “safety suggestion” for you. I have a largish plastic vitamin bottle (with a screw-off lid) that I keep on my office/craft room desk to dispose of bent pins, bent tacks, spent craft blades (such as you have today), toothpicks, nails, etc. The bottle has a fairly large opening. Whenever I have something sharp that would poke through a plastic trash bag and/or would injure someone if exposed, I just grab my plastic “sharps” bottle and toss in there. Saves A LOT of time not having to individually wrap dangerous items. I removed the original label and wrote “SHARPS” on the plastic lid.
At some point when the bottle is full, I can glue the lid shut and toss the full bottle into my trash can.

It’s not elves, it’s the little blue men that arrange the scenery for every minute. (Stephen King’s Twilight Zone). Every minute in history is essentially a separate world, which must be built, maintained, and torn down once the world finishes with it. And although the little blue men who build the set have lists, every now & then they move something to the wrong spot or they forget to put something somewhere, so it’s not where you expect to find it. But then they fix it in a future minute, so it’s suddenly there again.

Oh yes Pam, I have lots and lots of elves that live on my craft table! This was a cool video. I think I’ll use this idea in one of my classes if you don’t mind. Merry Christmas to you and all your household!

As regards your ink pads, they are too old and dry. A reinker might help, but you have used them too dry for too long. You should be able to lightly tap your tool on the pad and have enough ink. I understand wanting things to last longer, but if treated properly the pads would last a very long time.

For sharp metal discarded pieces, I use an old pill container or empty detergent container to dispose of that item safely. It must have a lid to the container that you use.

I have those thieving little elves all over my house. I think they particularly love the clothes dryer and my closet, and of course my craft room. My challenge today is to use at least 1 full page from one of my larger books 😁. Say Hi to the menagerie for me and Papa too of course. TFS. 😊
