Bro, he did actually ask himself/us the question...is this really the actual sound of the big bang happening. I would argue that qualifies for stupid. Yes, he is learning and growing, as are we all...but...let's let him have this one.
When we look out into space we're actually looking back in time because of how long it takes light to travel to us. We're not seeing the universe how it is now, but how it was millions of years ago
This effect applies everywhere in the Universe, even when you talk to somebody on Earth face to face. It is just, that here on Earth the distances are only up to few thousands kilometers at max, and the light delay is almost non-existent, contained within microseconds, while in space, due to extreme distances, this delay grows from seconds to millions of years, and becomes noticeable. This means that you've actually NEVER seen anything as it is "now" - everything is showing as it was in the past, even your friends face as they're standing next to you - even if it's few nanoseconds, it's still seeing them those few nanoseconds in the past. For you to be able to truly see something "at present", the light would need to travel at infinite speed.
That's why Melodysheep later added separate links to those sound files (in the desc.). He's the real GOAT. He realized his mistake and immediately provided us raw samples.
That zooming out was insane because I live right in that part of the world, so as it zoomed out I could recognize a bunch of different places even without having ever seen them from above It's crazy knowing I've probably been to that river before. Incredible.
Could you react to some EAS (Emergency Alert System) scenarios? There are a lot of videos where the creators simulate what a never-before-seen disaster (nuclear war, EF-6 tornado, alien invasion, etc) would look like
What's so stupid about this (and most) videos is their insistence on covering everything with a loud soundtrack. At no point can we just hear (such as on Venus or Mars) the actual sound recorded.
The Cassini-Huygens mission (sounds from Titan) was pretty cool; you may want to check it out. Sometimes we get "sounds" from space (stars, etc.) In the form of radio waves or other radiation. The former can easily be converted into sound we can hear.
My favorite celestial soundscapes are Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. Saturn sounds like screaming (metal!) and Uranus sounds like wintry wind. I wonder what they would sound like if you played Gustav Holst's _The Planets_ on their corresponding planets? Would they enhance the sounds beautifully, or would they be discordant?

want your mind blown... research a bit on how we look at the stars, we are looking at stars from millions of years ago... The light takes that long to reach us... Many of the stars we see are not even there now.. It takes light that long to travel to us... Crazy shit man.
In elementary school when we were learning about space our teacher showed a picture themilky wakey galaxy and said the big dot in the middle was our sun
My dumb thought for the day was "huh.... what if the narrator got toward the end of the video and said 'And this is what Uranus sounds like' and just played a sound clip of someone farting"
To put into perspective how much 10 trillion really is: 10 million minutes = 19 years 10 trillion minutes = 19,025,875 years Also, another example: If you were to spend $40/second, it would take 289 days to spend a billion dollars. And that’s at a spending rate of almost $3.456 million per day. At the same spending rate of $40/second, it would take 792.5 years to blow through one trillion dollars. It is a unfathomable number. No one can actually understand how big it truly is.
What I like: That the video doesn't just start without any explaination just playing the sounds. What I don't like: That they expanded the talking and explaining throughout the whole video without just giving each planet like 1 minute to really showcase the real sound. -_- They should've made one intro part of explaining how we get and vconvert those sounds and after that let the sounds speak for themselves. Just my opinion on the original video.
I think that this is an area where light has an advantage over sound. It's simply that sounds need something to travel through to transport it's energy. I think that light is in waves as well but doesn't need anything other than space itself to travel through. I am more than certain that I am more than likely off on this. I haven't taken physics in twenty five years at least.
NASA recorded the true sounds that the planets make, Saturn sounds wicked, Neptune is relaxing. the universe is a very noisy, you just need special equipment to hear it.
The sounds depicted from the 13.6 billion years ago are detectable in the white noise when you go between radio stations, which is then amplified multiple times to get the sound on the video

You should watch the video "The Shark in Jaws Did Nothing Wrong - An Ecological Video Essay" by TREY The Explainer. 4:15 - "What you are hearing now are those actual sounds" - uh, really, there were orchestras playing dramatic background music? His "science" is not only flimsy, it is fantasy. He goes on to tell you that the actual sounds were pitched below the range of human hearing and these sounds have been "modified" to reach the audible range. It goes downhill from there. There is science, then there is "junk science". You figure which one this is.
It probably sounds like Gilbert Gottfried screaming over a hellish cacophony of screeching metal. Nothing less would capture the hopeless cold and indifference of space.
Yo Luka, love your vids man, but all of your videos are very quiet. I have my volume maxed out, but even then I struggle to hear everything. Maybe consider messing around with your audio levels?
In that VERY scientific movie 'Mars Attacks' the Alien's head would explode when exposed to a yodeling Slim Whitman. So to me, this is proof positive that aliens do hear sounds differently. Your sound on this video cut out after this point, Lav. OH!! Maybe I'm part alien & the rest of your viewers heard everything fine. Good reaction.
I Don't know if you will read this or not, but if you want to not get blocked so much you have to cut out parts of the videos. Maybe Pause it more often for a little longer. Could also try playing it at a slightly faster speed, I've seen others do that one before.
All of the Space adventure fantasy films e.g., Star Wars, always feature massive explosions with sound that could not transmit because there is no air medium to conduct sound. The explosions must be silent. The sound effects are cheesy and detract from the story-- at least for some of us who know the science.

This effect applies everywhere in the Universe, even when you talk to somebody on Earth face to face.
