If you’re looking for a gain boost without dropping $150 on a CL1, Look at the Klark Teknik CM1 or CM2. I have 2 CL1’s as well as the Klark CM2 and notice no difference in quality. If you’re tracking singing vocals, the CL1 is preferred. CM1/CM2 may color the input - I haven’t tested it on singing.

the sm7B is a vocal mic for singing, i have the podcast one, is called the Shure MV7 , you might want to try that one. i am looking thru your vids maybe you already have a video showing the fans upgrade on those cases.
The SM7B gets majorly outclassed by the EV mics. It'd be nice to find for $100 in a thrift st ore or something, but it's just to scopped and muffled to be worth it. Most quality mics should sound presentable without EQ.

false. mv7 is a budget mic. sm7b was originally for instrumental and broadcast voice.
