Seb, what is the difference between fee and revenue? Is Fee like the revenue of publicly traded stock and revenue is like net income of publicly traded stock?
When you're looking at fees, it's important to understand that the fees generated by a protocol aren't all directed to the team. For example, if the total fees generated are a million dollars, but only $100,000 goes to the team, the remaining $900,000 typically gets distributed to liquidity providers (LPs), borrowers, and lenders. So, the actual revenue that goes to the team is what's left after distributing those rewards. This is what ensures that the team gets compensated and is able to continue developing and maintaining the protocol.
@@SebMontgomery make sense! in public traded company, they call it revenue for sales of the company, after minus all the material cost, labour cost and etc, the balance is called net income. thanks for the info!
You'll have to define shill here. I'm bullish on crypto, and Solana is something I'm very passionate about. However, my ultimate goal is for people to use the blockchain natively, rather than relying on centralized exchanges. If that means covering more than one blockchain and helping people stay safe, so they can make gains and avoid being scammed, exploited, or hacked, then that's my core purpose.
