some people have pointed out a very interesting detail, to add onto Furina's duality as you mentioned the demo itself very much has a big theme of duality going through it. everything in the demo(more or less) is at an opposite to how it should be in reality. such as Furina defending Clorinde, her using ousia attacks in her pneuma form and vice versa, child running away rather than fighting, Neuvillette getting arrested rather than being a judge, Freminet drowning on land, Lyney being in the water rather than Lynette. its a has some pretty interesting implications

I frankly found her really fun from the beginning. And having experienced the strong storyline in Sumeru, I knew there was something more to Furina's character. It was way too early in the Fontaine arc to start hating on her.

In the last swing scene as well, usually the way hat tossing goes in Europe it’s in a “UFO” way(head cap down), she tossed it upside down for some reason her title being “Regina of all Waters” (meaning Queen of all Waters) the hat symbolizes her crown and she’s passing it onto the “Audience” since Neuvillette is the highest authority among the audience as “Font of Waters” (Fountain/Origin of all Waters) it could easily be him getting the gnosis/crown though it could also be connected to the next scene where she catches it again because she’s not really dead she’s already split from the start according to theories

We had the exact same reaction to the slower silhouetted part like DAMN the way a woman adjusting her glove can make me fold lol. Extremely excited for her tomorrow and the rest of the story in Fontaine cuz its been great so far.
I'm SO HAPPY that you noticed Furina essentially imitating the other Archons!! But also, notice how in the beginning, in her Ousia form she doesn't have her vision, but instead her jewel. And in the Pneuma one she has her vision instead of the jewel. I wonder if every now and then when she switches Arkhe alignment her vision switches between the outfits. Or maybe it has some deeper meaning
I think it's shown through this trailer that you can get an indicator of which version of her you have by her outfit. If you have the black outfit, you get the 3 summons that do damage. If you have the white outfit, you get the healer summon. Or vice versa.
Does she normally have her vision in ousia and the jewel in pneuma? If so, it could be part of the trailer, since everything is switched/has roles reversed(childe running from weak, neuvillette getting arrested). So this got switched too, which is a nice detail

I barely understood why the people of Fontaine love Furina so much but this character demo proves it. She does literally EVERYTHING for her people, making them happy and laugh with her performance although she was worried for the prophecy the whole time in her heart. She's the embodiment of "She might not be the best archon in Teyvat but she will always be the best archon in the hearts of Fontainian". Love her character so much and whoever wrote Furina's character, kudos to that person!! Can't wait for 4.2!
Don't know how much of it is an act but I love how joyful she looks here (hopefully we'll be able to get to that point after whatever's happening in Act V). Happy Furina is best Furina. Things I noticed/liked though: 1) The way it started with Ousia Furina (interesting way that she partially hid her expression with her hat in the beginning though could just be for the drama) and ended with Pneuma Furina after she threw her misdirect of a top hat (with that funny bit of her making impressions of the other archons right before) away to the other one, leaving them in the spotlight. 2) The film/theatre vibes this trailer gives (references to Silent Film, Singing in the Rain, and others maybe?). Nice transition from 3d to splash art and name card too. Music and song are a banger as well. 3) The way the Fontaine animals just looked like they were thinking "wtf?" when she was posing and had her summons inconvenience them (not even defeating them or anything, which makes Clorinde's expression even funnier). Then switch to her yeeting that one hilichurl and then posing dramatically. 4) Special mention to Childe, once again proving his title of "Mr. Worldwide" for sneaking into the Hydro Archon's character trailer along with the Fontaine cast. Also Lynette actually smiling for not having to do the under water trick here when she looked so done before the trick even started back in Act I. And then the "Oof" for Neuvillette. xD 5) Furina being a performer, to director, to spectator then coming back in for the finale and curtain call.
This demo convinced me to get her to C2. Everything about it is so perfect! Honestly, I'm comfortable with saying this is the greatest demo they have released so far.

What I love of these recent demos is the increase of references to the world quests, for example near the end of furina's demo i spotted Noailles from Unfinished Comedy quest (by the way i find it funny that he also appeared in Wriothesley preview)
I love how almost the entire Fontaine cast is present here, also including Childe, but not even a single hint of Arlecchino :D Furina really said "I am throwing a party and you are not invited".

An interesting detail. scenes with other characters seem to refer us to the previous archon quests. Childe is arrested. Navia snaps at Neuvillet about her father. Lyney and Lynnete perform a water trick. Clorinde and Wriothesely in Meropide. It's as if we're being hinted that all these events are part of a performance run by Furina
One interesting thing I've seen people notice is how at the end you hear no applause from the audience. No idea if its a hoyo move or lookig into it too deep, but its an idea for sure.
Another thing that I’ve seen people notice is the parts that begin with Childe running away from Melusines, it’s the Traveler running away from the Mililith in Liyue, the one with Navia and Neuvillette, La Signora and the Traveler in Monstadt, Lyney in the Oritrice with Lynette on the outside, the Grand Sage and Nahida, Clorinde and Wriothesly squaring off with Furina watching, the showdown with Signora in Inazuma

I’m really wondering if 4:45 is directly referencing Marie Antoinette. Furina is literally just sitting enjoying some cake as those around her are fighting and through all the chaos occurring she’s literally just having fun ; much like how Antoinette would. Obviously we know that there’s a lot of influence from Marie Antoinette and her reign, more under terms that we know she wasn’t serving her people properly. That guillotine is looking extra sharp rn

A few things interesting about the demo is that reversed for the characters throughout the demo and the second half are supposed to represent the various moments in the various archon quest to date that has fatui involvement. Childe normally would fight rather than flee. (Is supposed to be our escape from in Liyue when Zhongli showed up "dead" when Childe helped us escape) Neuvillette who is the judge is getting arrested by Navia who is like a mafia boss. (representing Signora stealing Venti's gnosis) Lyney is in the water tank rather than Lynette. (Representing Nahida's self isolation after being cornered by Dattore) And Clorinde vs Wriothesley are friends having a fight (is Signora fighting before the throne with us, with Furina in the background being Raiden) (Another role reversal is in the beginning when Furina, being as weak as she is, is stepping up to fight for Clorinde. So given all these facts, I wonder what we can gather from the remaining parts. We see Freminet drowning from his diving helmet (again reverse) with Furina removing the helmet, and this is seemingly supposed to represent the events of Fontaine. (And given the previous moments, also an interaction with the Fatui) Another interesting part is the finale with the cast beating the NPCs up. Given who each characters are supposed to represent previously, I wonder if it is perhaps also foreshadowing for things to come? I love this demo since its all in good fun, but can actually go several layers deep if we try digging a bit.
Tbh when MHY first released Furina, I didn't really like her design, but as the story goes, I fell for her more and more, and her PV and demo just gave me even more reasons to love her. Starting from tomorrow she and Nahida will permanently stay in my team :)

An interesting detail. scenes with other characters seem to refer us to the previous archon quests. Childe is arrested. Navia snaps at Neuvillet about her father. Lyney and Lynnete perform a water trick. Clorinde and Wriothesely in Meropide. It's as if we're being hinted that all these events are part of a performance run by Furina

One interesting thing I've seen people notice is how at the end you hear no applause from the audience. No idea if its a hoyo move or lookig into it too deep, but its an idea for sure.

Another thing that I’ve seen people notice is the parts that begin with Childe running away from Melusines, it’s the Traveler running away from the Mililith in Liyue, the one with Navia and Neuvillette, La Signora and the Traveler in Monstadt, Lyney in the Oritrice with Lynette on the outside, the Grand Sage and Nahida, Clorinde and Wriothesly squaring off with Furina watching, the showdown with Signora in Inazuma
This demo did it. This demo *friggin* did it for me. I have decided to pull for Furina, and thus....I am skipping Baizhu QvQ (I'm sorry Baizhu TvT)

I, CANNOT, contain my excitement for when Arnold uploads the Fontaine archon quests here. I’m so excited to watch and see how he reacts to everything, and I’m so happy he already likes Furina so much here before Act V haha. My absolute favourite character
We're actually going to be starting editing work on 4.0 Fontaine content in another week or two, so I'm super excited to be catching up to present-day content as well. If all goes according to play, we should be able to start posting the early bits of the Fontaine Archon Quest Act 1 before Natlan releases later this year!!!

I’m really wondering if 4:45 is directly referencing Marie Antoinette. Furina is literally just sitting enjoying some cake as those around her are fighting and through all the chaos occurring she’s literally just having fun ; much like how Antoinette would.
Obviously we know that there’s a lot of influence from Marie Antoinette and her reign, more under terms that we know she wasn’t serving her people properly.

I've been expecting some depressive lore-related shiet but I've got High School Musical Fontaine version lmao

A few things interesting about the demo is that reversed for the characters throughout the demo and the second half are supposed to represent the various moments in the various archon quest to date that has fatui involvement. Childe normally would fight rather than flee. (Is supposed to be our escape from in Liyue when Zhongli showed up "dead" when Childe helped us escape) Neuvillette who is the judge is getting arrested by Navia who is like a mafia boss. (representing Signora stealing Venti's gnosis) Lyney is in the water tank rather than Lynette. (Representing Nahida's self isolation after being cornered by Dattore) And Clorinde vs Wriothesley are friends having a fight (is Signora fighting before the throne with us, with Furina in the background being Raiden) (Another role reversal is in the beginning when Furina, being as weak as she is, is stepping up to fight for Clorinde.
So given all these facts, I wonder what we can gather from the remaining parts. We see Freminet drowning from his diving helmet (again reverse) with Furina removing the helmet, and this is seemingly supposed to represent the events of Fontaine. (And given the previous moments, also an interaction with the Fatui)
Another interesting part is the finale with the cast beating the NPCs up. Given who each characters are supposed to represent previously, I wonder if it is perhaps also foreshadowing for things to come?
I love this demo since its all in good fun, but can actually go several layers deep if we try digging a bit.
Tbh when MHY first released Furina, I didn't really like her design, but as the story goes, I fell for her more and more, and her PV and demo just gave me even more reasons to love her. Starting from tomorrow she and Nahida will permanently stay in my team :)
I dunno, but that curtain falling at the end gave me goosebumps and a momentarily sadness. I feel like I'm gonna cry for the hundredth time tomorrow :'>

Someone on twitter pointed out that the scenes with Neuvillette and the others are recreating certain parts of the events the traveler went through in each nation Childe when we had to run back at the start of Liyue, Neuvi when Signora came to stopped us from helping venti, Wrio and Clor is The duel before the throne in Inazuma, and Lyney and Lynette being Nahida and Azar.
