Welcome to the Summer Days. Not too long ago, I would have perceived this song in a completely different way, because summer was the most difficult period for me, when I can’t leave the house for three months in a row, and all that is left to do is to watch anime literally 24/7 and suffer from loneliness and insomnia, but now, thanks to antidepressants, I feel a little better. It is unlikely that I will go out more than once during the summer, but in any case, now at least I do not suffer, and the song is perceived a little more sweet than bitter. Life is getting better!
I hope you've continued to get better since then! I am the opposite, where winter is more depressing for me due to the sun going down so early and me being nocturnal. So this song has always had a positive connotation to it for me, and I listen to it when I get depressed. It has definitely brought me down from panic attacks before. Did you go out at all over the Summer?

I watched this anime last year and I absolutely loved it. This song however has been stuck on me since last week, it somehow was playing in the background of my dream inside a grocery store.

Yes yamazaki is a strong character that's stay the same from the whole show. Im actually adore him, although people look down on him, he have all the trait to be a hikki, but not only he can stand but force Satou stand too, which misaki try so hard (poor Misaki). Yamazaki is best bro.
The point of the series is not to have someone like Misaki come into your life and make you better. The point the author wanted to say that you can improve yourself, he himself was a hikkikomori and managed to get out of that state by writing, although he says he is going back to his old habits, he will never be the same as he was at that time.
Watching for the fourth time. After Clannad, NHK is my favourite anime. It's difficult to explain why but I identify myself with both protagonists Okazaki and Satou, and maybe because of that these anime have -and always will- a special place in my heart.
Not sure if I've commented here before, but I remember watching this video so many years ago. It made me want to watch the show. I am forever grateful to this video, otherwise I would never of discovered this masterpiece. My life would've been so different..

Accept that the girl you wanted wasn't the one for you and leave her behind. Start looking for the one who IS for you. You'll do both yourself and her a favor. There's 8 billion people on the planet, the likelihood that the girl you're breaking your heart over is the ONE and ONLY woman for you out of roughly 4 billion women is astronomically small. Somewhere out there, there's a woman who will want you. Find her. Or just stop looking completely for a while. Do other things, meet other people. I wish I could rewatch NHK ni Youkoso! once again for the first time. it's an experience I will never forget, but can never relive.
It's a great re-watch but I think it's better to read the light novel, which the anime is inspired on.
