The job could be Soo much easier with good equipment... Always something extra too do from paying attention to lift gates to bad rotaters either loaded wrong with mad water, or dog food detergent,also sometimes both mad water then dog food on top of that.. Even have rotaters with wheels missing
They dropped the load and it slide against the door pull off a little and stop fast so it'll shift foward
They should let dispatch and the CEO 🚛 do what y'all do once a week to see 👀 what u go thru👴🏻👩😏
Analysis of your Costs per Day rather than refusing to haul cheap freight will be a huge factor if an owner operator survives. Sitting kills your Costs per day requiring you to hit a home run on your next load. It’s the law of averages that will sustain a successful single truck operation.

I'm suppose to start orientation with Werner next Monday, then I'll be working on a DG account in the northeast.
That's the only account Werner have available for my area in south Florida.
I just put in an application with Sysco last night and done the quick text interview.
If I can get something going with Sysco before Friday, I might reconsider going with Werner.

I worked at the D.C and the reason is because the percentage of the load be set at 99% and it’s hard to make everything fit especially if swimming pools are on top as well. The loading dock is hell some days trust me
Just wanted to let u know that if u hop on the intermodle account weather it be daily or regional, you will make almost 300 more dollors a week doing the same shit. Go switch to Schinder intermodle

I'll be in orientation this Wednesday in Atlanta I'll be out of south Boston v.a I was hoping to be out of Clayton NC to get that fresh account but I gotta do dry she said it was 84,000 a year so shit I'll take it lol that's triple what I was making at the hospital whipping asses
I hauled dollar general loads once upon a time a few years back. I see that dollar general trailers are still not very well maintained. Bad doors was what I dealt with. I also dealt with tandems that were difficult to slide. Space at the different stores was often very close when backing into the unloading areas at the different stores. Not much has changed. I was thinking about looking at doing dollar general again? But I don't know?
Great videos, I've been watching you since you were doing food service, I really enjoy your videos, I'm nowhere near where you are, I'll be starting CDL School in a few weeks, I thought that after School that I would have to start off OTR, I would rather do local, I know that's it's hard work, and you really make it look easy, I will continue to watch your videos, keep doing what your doing, and keep that positive attitude, I love it.
Worst part about dollor general loads is the equipment fails 50% of the time! Battery dead, lift gate wont support but 1 heavy rolltainer or it will break ! And dealing with store managers that wont you to pick up as many carts as you drop off but dont consolidate cardboard and fold up empty’s so you can. I line my walls to load and thats all im getting im not unloading rolltainers at every dtop to finish load at other stops! Not to mention how they load the trailers some times is just crazy! But it pays good! Im a owner operator and wish i could find drivers i could put on to do this but its not easy work exp. in the summer!

Looks like the yard goat backed that in fast then slammed his brakes to cause the load to shift. worked werner 1997-2003 and left just as the Dollar General dedicated loads started to come out. Didn't sound like a good deal back then so i hope its better now... The trailers sure look like they are over 20 years old though
I did a week of training on the DG account since that’s what got me to working the quickest. But I got set up on this FD account out of Odessa TX. I been experiencing the same problems. Just gotta deal with it and put in work.

You rework a 99% 3 stop truck while on production is hard, there’s no time we’re on production loading these trucks at DG.

Did you have to go out of state to train with Werner? I don't know if your still with em because I seen you was or are with Sysco? Who are you with now? But anyways I was wondering did you get your own truck with Werner or do you have to share trucks? If you have your own truck where do you take it after your shift? I just got my cdl about a week and a half ago and they came to our school and was tryin to recruit us and I was thinking bout who I should try to start off with?
