  • Let me read you The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe in a soft spoken way that hopefully, you will consider ASMR enough to help you sleep. I did not manage to edit the whole 1,5-hour footage and you in IG voted you want it in two parts - one today and another one on Thursday!

Thank you for doing a reading video!! There’s something so hypnotic about certain non-native speakers reading English out loud; the way you don’t blend the words togethers, the stress patterns and the cadence of your pauses. Thank you SO much for stepping outside your comfort zone to do this for us. And Poe is NOT an easy read for ANYONE, native speaker or not!

Hi I love your videos! I am a nurse in Arizona, USA and I perform a neurological exam called the NIH stroke scale on my patients and every time it gives asmr tingles. I think it would be a great video if you did the NIH stroke scale on someone! Keep up the good work❤

Exactly the accent plus the minor pronunciation “errors” are what make this so great! Trust me, if I tried speaking a different language, it would not go as well as this lol.

It’s good but would be better in my opinion if you showed the book and we could see the words and read along. Maybe it would have taken the pressure off of you and you would have read more perfectly? Although you did very well as Poe is not an easy read.

Please, please make more reading videos! Your voice is beautiful and I love literature as well. Thank you for this! ❤
Edit: I tried reading this story when I was really young and couldn’t understand it at all. Now at 40 I understand it all too well. This is what happens when we get stuck in fear and addictions and don’t seek after the good, beautiful and true, namely God. When that’s the case, even potentially good things like art and music turn in on the soul and oppress it. There seems so be some demonic oppression in the family resulting in fear and a limiting of the soul. Simply terrifying yet true and deep. What a terrifyingly brilliant work of literature!!
Thank you for reading it! I love reading and haven’t had as much time for it as I would like lately as a mom!

This was super relaxing. I really enjoy listening to your vlog here. Don’t worry about your English, it’s really excellent. Your pronunciation is better than that of many native speakers. Some hep on the very few things you struggled with….In the intro you
Couldn’t think of the term for a professional reader. You either mean A Storyteller or A Narrator. You found it difficult to say annihilation or annihilate. The letter ‘h’ is virtually silent so just pronounce it phonetically like an-eye-ill-ate. You also struggled with the word reign. Again the problem letter ‘g’ is very passive so pronounce it as you would pronounce ‘rain’ and it’ll sound fine. There are lots of quirky things like this in English due to the way the language has evolved from two very different roots. I’l looking forward to hearing part 2.

hello kewas, i knew your work just a few days ago and one thing i considered on subscribe was your tone voice and your spelling, your diction, since i am also an english learner. i guess it is easier to get lost in 19th century usage of language and vocabulary, and it's ok but, honestly, i'd choose something closer in time such as stephen king, wich writting is so much vivid and contagious, at least for begginers like us. even so, i truely enjoyed the reading since you kept the sweet tone of your voice 😅 so, thanks for this one!
