Seeing this side of Japanese society is a breath of fresh air. No awkward live translations that kill the vibe. Everyone is at ease and things don't feel forced.
I came here from Pearl's channel and just subbed. I know what it's like. I lost my rental place post Christchurch Earthquake in 2011 and had to bounce around from mate's place to mate's while working. Tried to live in Aus but bounced around backpackers for 2 years then came back to NZ then bounced around family members places, then thought I found a comfortable rental but had to share with another. Ended up crashing at bro's after moving out an uncomfortable situation there. Nomad life although tough I did love seeing all the different types of life, but as a female it was a bit more risky and my bro just offered me one of his kid's room. I got monetisation on my other YT channel (the one I don't use ironically) because of one silly video so I have faith in you bro you'll get it. I'll follow you along in this journey. You seem like an awesome dude.
Being a nomad like this in modern day Japan is similar to how Japanese monks who wandered Japan propagating thier sect were. Hopefully this man comes across good fortune propagating his skateboard biz ✌️
Good morning (from Texas, USA) NOMAD!!! I saw you featured on Oriental Pearl’s video. She mentioned the heat and humidity that you are experiencing. As one who has suffered 6 heat-strokes (2 of which should have been fatal… I was told), CAREFULLY monitor your salt intake. If you place a small bit of salt on your tongue and it does NOT taste salty, your body is dangerously low on salt, which can result in a heat stroke. If you start feeling dizzy and weak, eat something salty right away… before drop out and cannot help yourself. Stay strong Nomad. Keep life simple.
Hi I just watched Oriental Pearl excellent video with you, and immediatly came to suscribed. I'm 57 canadian woman, but remember very well how tough it is to start in life when you are not so rich. ....I will be watching all yours videos Dont give up, you are doing the right thing. The more people know about you, the better! See you soon 🤗, Chantale from Montreal.
This was so fun and humorous. The guy walking his bike and the 'interesting guy' reminded me of skateboarding downtown as a kid and getting to see and meet so many strange wonderful people.
I just watched you on Oriental Pearl. I wish you well! In the US you would be a breath of fresh air as far as homeless people and we would love to take care of you. You dont deserve to be homeless.
I follow an American dad who was homeless with his daughter for over a year and they recently got an apartment. Their story is inspiring, too. Their channel is called Carl and Ashley Bradford
I stumble upon your channel because of Oriental Pearl's interview of you. I am a Filipino, and I admire Japan, and it's people. I wish you success in life and in your UA-cam content/s. Will be back soon in Tokyo and I am looking forward to meet you. Remember, GOD is good to people that's doing good. Don't lose hope.
This video is a godsend. I just flew in with my longboard and I have a very worn out bushing that needs replacing. I'm going to the FESN Labs tomorrow for a new one. I'll make sure to tell them where I heard about them from. I may also stop by Heavy Sick this Friday for a Beer. The best part is that these places are in the same part of town I got my apartment in. Keep up the good work and we will make sure people benefit from your sponsorships.
I saw you on Oriental Pearl, you have a friend in the U.S. now who will be watching you. Your a good skater, hang in there n I hope someone will help you n give you a step up. Take care n stay safe. Peace n love ❤
Oriental Pearl sent us here, dude i cant even begin to imagine how hard your life is atm. Sending love from Australia, when we are in Japan next year would love to meet you!! All the best for your future, dont give up ❤
Subbed from pearls video, only a passing interest in skateboarding have not skated for two decades at this point but love to ebike everywhere like a nomad, had issues with depression and finding my place in modern society and struggle everyday but please keep at the youtube thing, id love to travel to japan at some point and channels like this allow me to live vicariously through the content thank you so much brother, will check in on your content. Peace.
I came from oriental pears too! Wish you the best my friend and what you feel inside counts not "only" money! Times will change - the hole world is changing for the better the next years.Greetings from Germany
holy cow I didn't expect to see someone fluent in English and homeless at the same time. in my case when I deal with some kind of depression. I learn languages/ it is my coping mechanism. And riding a bike. there are no one answer for everyone but traveling is helpful i think. good luck
I'm from some UA-cam video my gf was watching. Saw you were homeless and I went to your channel expecting you to be begging people for help or something. But you actually put out good, down to earth, happy content. Subscribed man. Can't wait to see you get monetized
I saw your interview on Oriental Pearl. I hope things improve for you and your channel blows up. I used to live in Hibarigaoka and commute to Tokyo for work but that was 20 years ago. It's interesting to see a regular persona POV vs tourist. I had good friends who showed me what " real Japan " looked like. But as we all were Salary employees, they also hid some thing from the Gaijin, to keep a good look. Ganbatte kudasai! Ki o tsukette!
Aloha, I finished all of your videos from the oldest to the new because of oriental pearls, she is always the best but you will be best, too. And one day you will be famous. Im rooting for you to stay strong, and keep making videos. Your videos are so cool and different; they explore the people around you. The world is watching you, from Hawaii🤙
Came from Oriental Pearl’s channel - sad to see your current state but know it only gets better from here! Everything else that happens to you in life now you’ll never take for granted again, unlike so many of us do and can’t find appreciation in things we should. Push your content through reels and shorts as this is what currently is making popular UA-cam channels do well. It’s the best method. Secondly, get yourself signed up to do English speaking tours around your city, pay is decent, hours are flexible and tips are excellent. I’ve done many English tours on my trips to Japan and they are paid very well… especially as you continue establishing yourself on social media and become known! I’m sure depression isn’t fun to deal with, but just know in working towards your goal little by little every day you’re going to be where you want to be in no time at all. Wishing you the very best from New Zealand. Stay safe and can’t wait to see you progress and become successful 😊
Another awesome video. Would love some longer shots of the skateboarding sessions, or maybe even some skate videos! Thank you for taking us on your journey!
keep grinding even during the hard times and keep trying to make every video better than the last. you will become successful if you do this! I wish you the best of luck sir.
I come strait over from Pearls Video. Subbing and looking forward to your content brother! EDIT: Just finished your video, and I'm in! Loved it! Stay safe bro x
Came from Pearl's video but stayed for the genuinely interesting content. You're definitely on your way to monetization and beyond, I look forward to seeing what the future of this channel brings
Here from Oriental Pearl too, wishing you the best brother! Retired skateboarder/surfer here from Puerto Rico. Retired due to health issues at 59 years...
Hey brother! Kon'nichiwa from across the ocean in the US. I really enjoy your content. You show a side of Japan that people rarely get to see. I hope that your situation improves. Keep your spirits up my friend, we are all rooting for you here. I spent two years in Yokosuka with the US Navy, so I know a little about Japan. Loved the country and the people. Safe journeys and best wishes!
Got this recommended after watching oriental pearls video on homelesness in JP and just had to watch it. You are such a good soul, wish you the best. Much love
You have an eye for interesting people and situations and I love it. Never seen a japanese guy with an afro, i thought that's cool. Everything will get better for you! I think many people saw the Oriental Pearl video and loved your energy. God bless you
Your channel is great. Really shows a side of Japan that you don't see much on other channels. Keep up the great content. If Patreon or something similar is something you ever look into opening up I'll be there.

Good video. Are you skateboarding across Japan or are you actually going somewhere? Either way good video. Places do not look wheelchair accessible at all.
Typically a cruiser is a type of deck shape plus those thicc wheels, easier for travel. Nomad bro is using them on a normal deck shape (I'm guessing 8 or 8.25 in size) which would be better for cruising as it's bigger. You may not want a bigger deck for tricks but some people don't mind. I used to skate 7.75 and found it easier for flat-ground tricks and street skating in general but harder to balance while cruising and especially difficult on vert. I never used to cruise around much but for vert I preferred an 8.25 deck. All this to say, if you want a "boat" then build a boat lol. Also recommend hitting up your local skate shop, just tell them what you want it for and they'll help you build the perfect complete for your needs. Mine even gives out free stickers and signed posters from prolific skaters.
I think you’ll make it sooner than that, you’re beginning to pop up in the feed (I guess my feed because I subscribe to many Japan-related channels)! I really like your feed, especially the bit where you show the part of Japan that other channels doesn’t, and your interactions with others. Subscribed, of course! I hope you’re feeling well and strong now. Keep up the good work, がんばってください!も、げんきでね!

@theJACK__ November, December, January, some of February. Cool season. 😎. Low 80s high 70s in the mountain area gets even lower. April is the hottest month.
The black fashion guy does it right.. He does his thing and doesn't give a fuck what other people think about it, even when it makes him look like a One Piece character. 😤
I can’t imagine the challenges you face each and every day. You send positivity out into the world with your personality and videos. I wish nothing but the best for you and have subscribed to your channel! Good luck man and much love from the US!
the determination it had to of taken to skate across japan is truly something to celebrate. congratulations on the new wheel ,stay passionate about skating. it really does give back what you pour into it.
