राग मारवा मेरा प्रिय राग है लेकिन सुनता बहुत कम हूँ। कारण ये है कि इसे सुनने के बाद चित्त उदास और विरक्त हो जाता है।

Marwa is a very difficult rag to sing. One must be very skilled to handle it. There is no pancham. Shadj is used very less. One can easily go off sur. It is one of the thaats in Hindustani classical music
It's very true I took 2 years to learn on flute then to I am not so perfect...
It's interesting to me that the structure or interval between swars of raag marwa is so similar to bhupali. I think it is moorchana perhaps? In Marwa Dha Ni re is same as Sa Re Ga for example. In Western music terms, it would be consideted a mode of the blues scale

Sangeet ko shuruati school pathyakram men shamil karna chahiye. Taki bacche jab bade ro unke andar sangeet ke prati samajh ho aur vo kala evam kalakaron ki kadra karen evam protsahan den. Ameen.
Its really a very difficult raaga to sing as the swar 'Sa' is rarely used to sing it & one must have to be very skillful to perform this raaga in front of the audience!!!!

I have a suggestion here..
If u are keeping in mind that this program is useful for beginners, ...It may not help us much unless u first sung notations or give notations on scrolling mode , learners can benefit. Otherwise we can simply listen so.e good songs in UA-cam if greats.

At 17:20, Panditji describes the Vadi-Samvadi of Sohni to be Nishad-Rishabh, however to the best of my knowledge it is Dhaivat-Gandhar.
