Great coverage as always. Put a few more packs on the HDzero camera at the night spot this week. Coverage is still a little spotty, but the new foxeer v4 lollipop did seem to help a little. In the clear reception areas, the image looks easily as good as DJI 25mb mode. Very encouraging. If penetration can be improved, it will be very exciting.
Would love to see a video comparing various styles of antennas on the system to see if coverage/penetration can be improved. Eg stubbies vs lollipops vs a normal antenna setup like VAS MadMushroom with a VAS Crosshair. I don’t think anyone has done this yet with HDZero.
Imagine beeing the only relevant premium fpv goggles manufacturer for years while never trying to push the hobby forward, then DJI comes and pushes the technology so far that you cant even come close to compete - and then miraculously a differnet company offers you to a way to still be relavent but instead of trying to go 100% into it and pushing it hard you just go naaaah thats way to much effort lets stick to making obsolete hardware that no one will want in 2 years
I have zero regrets of choosing the Skyzone 04X over the FatSharks, as my first FPV goggles. I’m sticking to analog, till my piloting skills improve. Already planning to adopt HD0 next year.

If I am just coming into the hobby and I hear that Rotor Riot is owned by the same company that owns Fatshark and no one on the show uses Fatshark as a daily driver there is literally no way I am going to buy Fatshark. Maybe if I am into racing and I see the racers with Fatshark goggles on, but will they still wear Fatshark goggles if HDZero makes their own decent set, or if they partner with someone else to make a decent set?
All it took is 1 good camera, 1 good 1W vtx & some guy with a plank, not even quadcopter fame could save one of the RC hobby's most unprecedented product to date. Yep, the price point (per VTX) is also a big factor for hobbyists who are not keen to spend a lot, just to convert their micro indoor drones to HD.
Fat Shark is the Polaroid of FPV. They owned the market and just sat there and watched while everyone caught up and then blew their doors off.
