Spent 4 years stationed Plattsburgh Air Force base.We enjoyed the bounty of fish taken.A favorite place was on an old railroad bridge located Rouses Point. Some killer big pike caught using large live bait purchased locally.1975-1979.

The entire Champlain valley from the St Lawrence to the Hudson is a massive flood created valley and is in fact a water gap. Prior to this, the Adirondacks and the Green mountains were one continuous set of mountains with no gap between.

There is very little farming from South bay up to Ticonderoga compared to the Northern two Thirds of the lake. don’t blain the farmers for the water discoloration. The lake flows North.
