The take from this video and the previous one on missile launches is that the terrain plays a huge part in determining the path of the projectile. You should look at creating a launcher than can gimbal/level itself at a set altitude for vertical launches. Horizontal like this one would be a bit trickier as the missile itself will then follow contours.
i think the reason that the torpedos were turning even though they were symmetrical is because they were hover torpedos that lacks friction so when you launch them on a slanted terrain it goes to the angle of the slant which makes it turn so the solution is to launch it as close as possible to the water. you can confirm my theory by trying the torpedo on the test zone map.

It would be awesome to see the same type of video but with battleships using an artillery style shot. The open waters with random terrain could lead to some wicked skill shots
I like this kind of torpedo/ missile battles. Maybe yall can try one where it is semi similair to the cluster bombs, with having to dial in the distance and launch angle and all that. But have the missiles have limited controls, so you are able to do a bit of precise targeting, and you start on very different parts of the map from each other, and with no hud or anything so you cant see exactly where the other is. Then during the battle you'd have to first figure the general area your opponent is in by trying to see where their missile is launching from, and once you get a general area you can send a missile over and try and take out their launcher. So the missiles end up being like a mix between the cluster bombs, and the guided missiles from the multiplayer air battles.
Suggestion: Since you are better trailmaker than the other guys, let profesor run a server so that you have a delay instead of him. I think this will make it more difficult for you to dominate in every trailmakers multiplayer video.
I want nothing more than for Yzuei to get a better segue: "Have _[participants]_ finished building?" despite the only reason why they regroup is because they already confirmed in advanced. So the question isn't for them because they already know the answer. . . and it's not for us either cause like, we watched them build it. So it's a question asked for no one and that. . . I agree!!! I wonder if they could build a stationary construction that they can fine tune there shots. Then maybe come up with other challenges cause eventually they’d be hitting almost every time once they got the hang of the aiming and maybe stabilize the rockets more idk 🤷 just a thought
Almost more RNG than skill, but still fun to watch) Edit: Might be a fun solo challenge, Scrap, to test the trajectory variance against stationary targets. Maybe just something that pierces and doesnt explode so you can clearly see the mark.
Day 11: Idea for Trailmakers cooperation challenge: two teams of two people each, you build a vehicle for both teams to use. One person from a team controls one half of the vehicle, and the other person controls the other half. Both people have to be pressing the shoot button to shoot. You make truly amazing content ScrapMan! Please keep your channel alive.🥺
here me out: fire hoop plane race where you have to pass through all of them and land back at the start with minimal damage in minimal time. a test of agility and control ability in the air.(my recommendation for the start/finish would be the aircraft carrier) ps: scrap man ur the 🐐 have fun :) (multiplayer btw)
Video idea: a lot of people said similar things so I’ll try to be brief. Stationary, turn based attacks. Have multiple attack options (cluster bombs, cruse missals, missal volleys etc. have a set of targets like battleship. First to destroy the all the opponents targets wins. You could limit the overpowered weapons by not being allowed to destroy more than one target with the same weapon/attack. Depending on the number of participants, you could have multiple rounds (series) for a one off video or make it a double elimination series across all your channels. evolving your weapons is allowed if you lose.
Suggestion: Non-lethal / incapacitate battle. Your goal is to disable, incapacitate, or take out your opponent without causing any serious damage. You could lock them in place, kidnap them with a baloon, etc.. If you need to repair because your device is a one-shot, that is fine. If you accidentally "decomission" your opponent with damage, they can repair. You are NOT allowed to repair your way out of being incapacitated. You are out when you can't do anything, but are otherwise mostly unharmed. I would suggest cars for this.
Awesome concept with the Cruise missile style torpedoes! I am gaining more and more knowledge from you and your friends about this Awesome game everyday and trying my own experiments! What if you made a "Self Driving Bomb car with magnets to simulate a Turtle shell from Mario Cart! I'm not sure if you have done this before in a previous video but i do think it would be a fun and exciting challenge! Keep on Scrappin!! :D
For the challenges that you launch things from land there always tends to be the variable of the land slope that alters flight paths of your object due to the uneven terrain. The way to maximize your accuracy is to have whatever you’re launching, launch from a gimbal. So even if your launch vehicle is sloped by a certain degree your hover torpedo remains level and true.
Video idea: This, but you're both able to move at the same time. You technically already did this with the Land Torpedo video, but I think it'd be fun to see it done for both land and sea.
I have two ideas for a challenge 1: Evolution tank battle 2: Underwater torpedo battle (you have underwater launch sites and have to make torpedos that are able to not be too boyant but also dont sink)
Idea: Plane race but only with raw engines. Starting with 1 engine, every round you add 1 extra engine. It will be a plane design and engine programming challenge!
Do the same thing but make it swarm launchers of at least 3-5 torpedos (or more for chaos!) The twist is you both fire at the same time and can possibly intercept.
Suggestion: Battleboats (to not say ship) Build 5 small ships (battleship sizes) and set them on each side of a small island Launch missiles / explosive projectiles to defeat the other's fleet
Suggestion: Human guided torpedos, dropped by plane, vs submarine. Use logic blocks so that torpedos can only use propulsion for 10 seconds after hitting the water. Place a limit on both torpedo and submarine speed.
Here is a fun video idea with 1v1 on Yzuei: Make two catapults - tank thing which is capable of grabbing explosive barrels, Carry it carefully to your opponent, Throw those barrels at each other, First to kill gets point.
For your scrap mechanic, Mondays with spliff could you make a I sunk your battleship game where two of your opponents select a coloured square where they have to stay with a big wall in front of you so you can’t see them with a wall of switches corresponding to the coloured square that you can hit or miss with explosives or potato guns pointing up Towards where your opponents. Will decide to stay on a two by two or 4x4 coloured squares and wait until they are taken out then they take turns to take out Cosmo scrapman or kan I think that would be a bit interesting, to see how that works in scrap mechanic I have made a few suggestions over the years and only one of two ideas I have had somebody else had the same idea and you used it in one of your videos. I got an idea for the next 1v1 video. What about a homing torpedo battle. A boat/ship with a surface torpedo, which has sensors to turn. The hard part will be that each boat must be near a steeper coast or a cliff to trick the torpedo into missing the target
You guys should do 'Realistic' torpedoes. Real torpedoes carry large yields, and detonate BELOW their target rather than on impact. It would be interesting to see how that raft-like battleship without a keel or the overpowered battleship would fare against 8 or 10 dynamite.

they act like a ball on a hill basically, and roll down the slope
Well, he mentioned at least once how the terrain affects the trajectory, so I'm pretty sure he's aware :)
There was also the effect from the block breaking. Like when the torpedo detached, it almost seems to jump a small bit.
