This is a widely used blues riff (2 riffs actually) using the 12-bar blues structure. You could "recognize" this from hundreds of songs. With these changes I made, I'll call this little composition "Street Blues".
The idea is: 1) You wanna impress someone; 2) You can't play the fingerstyle (usually it's harder than playing single notes or power chords); 3) Play this (just an idea of what to play)!!!
I DO KNOW not everybody would be impressed by this but I'm sure a lot of people would love to see someone playing it. If you play the guitar, it's a chance for you to make people happy through music. Give it a try.

♫ HOW TO READ GUITAR TABS ♫
The guitar tablature has six lines. Each one represents a string of the guitar (the upper line represents the first string "e" and the bottom line represents the sixth string "E").
The numbers represent the FRETS. If there is a number "5" on the upper line, you will play the fifth fret in the first string (e). If there is a number "0" on the second line (from up to down), you will play the second string (B) without hitting any fret (B open string).
Frequently, I add some guitar solo techniques like hammer-ons, pull-offs and slides to the melody so it can sound closer to the original vocals:
h = hammer-on;
p = pull-off;
/ (sl.) = slide.
This is literally what my dad has been playing all my life. It's one of those things he plays when he doesn't know what he wants to play
Wtf, mine too!
One of the first things my dad taught me was a riff just like this!
it is literally what i play when my head is empty of ideas what to play too haha
Same with mine 😂😂
But he play in bass
As a guitar noob who is doing self-taught nonsense to help arthritis in my hand knuckles I am so glad you put this up, I now have a new starting point to a library of songs, thanks man!
Can't wait to try it, sounds amazing
I need to try this. Btw, your finger strumming is flawless, I was convinced at the beginning that you held a pick, lol
I think he has a pick bro
Definitely has a pick
You can also kinda see the pick around the 0:27 mark.
Thanks for some different licks in between the blues basics, great lesson!

A nice 12 bar blues, it’s what I’ve always tended to play when I’ve had a guitar in my hands but no inspiration

Thank you! It sounds so good
I learned to play this progression when I was just starting off as a kid. It's fun to play, impressive and easy
What song is this?
From 0:19 to 0:24, it sounds a lot like Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin.
Yeah!

Would really love if you put the full uninterrupted tab on screen at the end of the video for just a sec. Bit easier to read that way than pause, play, pause, rewind, etc.
That's cool. Now I need a video about how to impress a friend without any guitar.
