    How to pronounce the verbs ending in "ED" . Example : Arrived

      it depends on the last consonant. It has a cluster of rules.

      if the previous cosonant is a voiced sound the (ed) pronounce _d
      if..... is a voiceless sound the (ed) pronounce _t
      if the previous cosonant( t or d) the (ed) pronounce _id.

      arrived = /əˈraɪvd/ So, the -ed is pronounced as /d/.

    Thanks for these gems. Love your pronunciations, what a chllange (and fun) it is now to unlearn (well never learnt phonetics in the first palce!) and get some proper sounds coming out!
