Cruised on this ship recently. The buffet food was good, if you walked to other areas it was less crowded. The pizza and coffee were both EXCELLENT. I ate a few burgers and they were good. The Butchers Cut restaurant was okay. My steak was unseasoned but cooked perfectly. Salt and pepper helped. One and done. This ship needs to dock on Long Island or in Central New Jersey because Brooklyn is a pain to deal with, as is NY City. The ship itself is very smooth on the water and did not rock at all. Overall, my cruise was very nice and HALF the price of NCL, so the decision to pick MSC was easy. I would sail this ship again, it was a very nice cruise.
I agree it’s a great ship and my family and I had an amazing time. We sailed in August 2024 and I found staff everywhere. Attention to detail was there and didn’t have any big issues.
My wife and I normally sail on NCL. We went on MSC 3 months ago and loved it. We upgraded to Yatch Club but spent more time outside of it than in (yatch club is amazing). If you're picky about your food then sail NCL. If you like good food and great entertainment and an amazingly beautiful ship you will never beat MCS for the price. We booked our next trip the day we got off the ship. By the way, we never had a bad meal. You're on vacation, stop looking for things to complain about.
Do they have room service? P.S. I’m on my last day of the cruise here now 10/25/34 and I must say that Meraviglia did not disappoint me. I was given great room service, had enjoyed Teppanyaki and Show last night, will go on a Spa treatment later. Since I saved quite a bit on the total fare, I can spend on extras. With 4500 guests and 1500 staff on this cruise, it did not feel too crowded because the ship is soooo huge. Overall, great experience for me.
I was on this ship April 18th and experienced none of what you show or describe. Buffet was always stocked and food was excellent. Ship was super clean. Only thing I agree with is the poolside manners over chairs.
This was the week of March 31st - perhaps more of a peak season for spring break?
Thanks for this. We are doing Meraviglia on June 23 first time with MSC but doing Yacht Club. Sounds like a different experience in YC versus the rest of the ship.

Thanks for sharing, we are boarding next Sunday 5/19 and I have mixed feelings about it. We only sail with NCL and wanted to try something different. We booked the Yacht Club because of all the drama and long lines. So we are going to see how it goes.
we're doing YC on June 23. I've never sailed with MSC so if you think of it come back to this and let me know how it went.
@@ricky.3326 We have sailed 4 times on this ship plus others in the MSC line and only in the YC . We are going again on June 2nd on the Meraviglia. You will see a total difference from being in the YC and from this video. Just make sure when you get to the port you look for the YC Tent where you drop off your luggage, then they meet you and bring you to check in, where you might have to wait in the lounge or go right on board depending on the time you arrive. We have never waited more than 30 minutes to board and that also include when we did back to back cruises. Trust me you will have a great time the people, food and being in the YC are all worth it. This was a great, honest review. Thank you! I am booked on the Meraviglia for Jan 2025 in the Yacht Club...which I understand (and hope!) is a lot saner than the rest of the ship. I paid the deposit, but I am still debating on whether to take the cruise or not. I am not a fan of these massive, 5000+ passenger cruise ships....(the Meraviglia is 5741!!! Just too many people for me!!). The more videos I see on how crowded and congested the Meraviglia is, the more I am sure I will probably confine myself to the Yacht Club area and not venture out to the rest of the ship.....but where's the fun in that??? I still have a few months to make my decision....and the final payment.
Thanks for the feedback! I would absolutely stick with the Yacht Club - I’m not exaggerating at all on how wildly crowded it was. Granted the Meravigila was sold out according to the front desk. If your sailing isn’t as full, perhaps it will be more enjoyable.

Question ? The last part of your video showed people standing in line for ice cream? Don't think so might want to check again what was going on
It was the ice cream line - the free ice cream is located on the pool deck, next to the bar. It was absurd, so that’s why I wanted to share! Hope that helped!
Traveled on the Meraviglia last month, and was very disappointed! The food in the main dining room was mediocre at best. Had the osso buco and that was so overcooked that I couldn’t tell the meat from the bone! Same with the lobster which was all dried out. And the buffet wasn’t much better as this video shows. We were scheduled for 3 days in port but the captain changed that to just 7 hours. We spent the rest of the time floating around the North Atlantic. I would advise booking with another cruise line. MSC just isn’t worth it!!!
Wow that’s a really disappointing cruise. I would be totally upset if our ports were so dramatically changed. Did they offer any concessions? I suspect they would refund your port charges, but they should have provided some credit.

True - the experience suffers if it’s pushed too far, though.
We tried MSC out of Brooklyn because the price was amazing. The ship is amazing but the experience was less amazing than any ship we have ever been on. We have cruised on NCL, and Royal Carribean. It took us three hours to get on the ship. Our room had not been cleaned from the last cruisers. There was a group of people that for some reason thought that cutting lines at the buffet was ok. I have no predigest against any people but I have to say the Asian people were so rude it ruined our trip.
The buffet was an absolute nightmare on the Meraviglia - chaos. As was embarkation and disembarkation - it was really not organized at all.
Wir sind gerade zurück...und ich kann alles nur bestätigen...sehr viele unmögliche Menschen unmöglichen Adiaten überall...alles zu laut und überfüllt...das war kein Urlaub...es war einfach nur schrecklich..Wir bezahlten nicht gerade wenig für dad alles von Deutschland aus. Aber anscheinend sind das ab USA Schleuder Preise...was da alles darum gelaufen ist...das hat nichts mit Urlaub zutun.
Nicht zu empfehlen...teils langweilig...viele Menschen, wenig Raum

Those eggs did not look appealing at all!! YUCK 🤢 I hope they do something about controlling the lines in the buffet...it looked so chaotic. Great video....thanks for sharing.
It was absurd how crowded it was - I would have been embarrassed to serve those eggs.
Worst cruise all ratchet personal. Cancel on our main destination and skip it due to somone being sick.
