Not just you, this song makes me emotional, too :) It reminds me of a webcomic that I love, so there's that, too. There's something about this song that is both really sad, yet hopeful??
Lats 3 weeks I'm being tempted to download the launcher but you know whats the best thing to do with nostalgia? let it be there. I don't want to destroy the beautiful memories. That happens a lot when playing old games
This is the song that really brings me back to 10 years ago when EVE space really felt scary and where anything felt possible and I'd just drift through space, chat with people and stuff. I can't believe they removed the jukebox from the game. Such a shame.
Same here. June of 2003, I was living in Fairbanks Alaska in a 400 square foot studio. This game was amazing. I remember how excited I was to get my first Moa.
I saw Moa on yt by accident in 2015 and i liked it so much that i decided to play didn't have any idea what kind of game it is - I'm still in till this day and i love EVE
@@Straswa They switched to a music system in which the tracks that can play will vary depending where you are. It gives places a theme. I think it's an upgrade. But they did not include an option for us older players to play the old jukebox instead, which was quite rude.
This music in the background, drifting through an asteroid field in my new Coercer helping a friend with some mining, because that's what you do in you first week in eve is jet can mining with a dessy :P
I only just discovered Handplates and this song makes me wanna cry ;-; Reminds me of when Sans tried healing Papyrus "That's okay! You did your best!" "Is that all I can do..?" Nuuu I wanna hug them both 😥 they didn't deserve that trauma
I've been with the comic for years and still love it to death. Here listening to the soundtrack of starbot & vade's dub... this track is nostalgic for me but from something completely different than the rest of the comments section :)
I don't know why, but every time I hear this song the phrase "Your capacitor... has run out of energy" floods my mind. I guess I've had some bad times with this tune.
My guess is it's because the old mining barges didn't have enough capacitor to run their systems properly. If you cut strip miners off early on a rock because there wasn't much ore left in it, you might not yet have enough capacitor to restart the strip miner. But then it's also entirely possible it's just because that's one of the most common things to hear right before your ship blows up.
This and Peace of Akatosh are two of the most sadly beautiful tracks in all of gaming in my opinion. Both remind me of simpler times when my only problems were making sure my homework was done before spending the rest of the night playing WoW, EVE, Oblivion, etc.
This song makes me feel helpless, like there is nothing I can do about my situation, but I still go on, in this endless loop of pain, hoping that one day, SOMETHING will change
I don't know why, but anytime i hear this, i just lose it and cry. I've never played Eve online, and yet it makes me feel nostalgic. Like i lost something dear to me, something i will never get back, no matter how much i try or hope. I can't think of anything specific though, it's always just a feeling, something beyond my understanding perhaps. It makes me feel like i left something or someone behind. When I cry with this tune on the background, it hits different. It's not the same cry or feeling as when I cry over injured animals, that's just pure sadness. This makes me feel a different sad. I prefer it over the other sad things though. But anyway, it's a magically beautiful song , that gives me what no other tune can. The feeling of sadness and nostalgia, with a hint of acceptance.
sounds like you need to create your free account XD no better sadness than the one you get while drifting in the beautiful and endless void of EVE with this dank tune of course
@@alightinthesky7586 Also a good word. Isn't it funny how both Wales and Portugal are close to England, yet neither of those words became loanwords in English?
I would express my joy from stumbling across these Jukebox tracks. I haven't the slightest idea about EVE Online, but these things are unique and wonderful, full of pleasing odd sounds like that which starts from 2:00.
This really needs some mining lasers and thruster noise on top of it. This song is the soundtrack of the 00's for me, it just instantly makes me feel 20 years younger.
Nothing like hearing "Armor Critical, capacitor out of energy" "Unable to Warp" with the REEEE of your armor and hull going critical, then as your ship explodes to the most soothing soundtrack, you take a deep breath, and go out of that station ... I miss the old EVE Online.
What happened to this game. It is the only game of its kind and yet, the developers have ran the game into a death spiral. I play it yet it doesn't feel the same anymore. EVE truly has died and it makes me genuinely depressed. RIP EVE 2003-2018
It's not dead. Eve is what players make it to be. The old players just left the game couse of Real Life or they just passed away. Eve is still alive and kicking. Old players since 2004 here still playing it ;)
I was searching this playlist to try to find the music that plays in highsec in EVE Echoes and I found it. Also please fix the music in EVE Online it doesn’t work ccplz
Please tell me im not the only person who sometimes cries to this, its like sound of memories to me.

It’s a wonderful tune ;)
You are not alone. the nostalgia this game evokes in me makes me emotional also.
It feels alive...
...it feels like the essence of life and that alone drives me to tears of an indescribable comfort.
Hate to break it to you, but this is still used in both EVE Online and EVE Echoes for hi-sec space (Security 0.5-1.0)
The nostalgia is strong with this one. I miss playing Eve Online, its calling to me once more.

It's that damn hedgehog's fault!
Same tbh. Feels like im drifting endlessly in my Thorax true space.
That's so weird, I have the same exact feeling lol
Nothing like mining while half asleep at 11:00 AM with this music
one of the most beautiful melodies i've ever heard in my whole life...
Eve online: the only game I keep in the background just to keep listening to the music.
I hope everything is going well in your life man.
Sadly, they removed the jukebox in the game long ago..
Cheers.
By far my favorite song from the game. Miss the jukebox. Glad this song is on Eve Echoes!

I sometimes just sit outside the station in a frigate and watch the big ass ships leaving to do what they gotta do. This song is always on
Nostalgia is a helluva drug. Beautifull sounds from the OG EvE soundtrack.
Beautiful tune. Nothing beats sitting undocked outside your station and seeing an entire fleet go by.

2020 anyone? Still listening

This was, and still is, one my favourite EvE-online jukebox songs. Ahh the good old time.

Hey, it's been 20 years of EVE right now

Hi from ex DarkSide member. It was cool to be part of one big organism called Eve.
Hi from ex Horde member...You guys sure gave us a hard time ratting around geminate and the drone lands~~~~😆😆😆😆
This song is overwhelmingly beautiful, and peaceful. It evokes memories of good old days...
perfect meditation piece. Especially the drone synth near the end.
Mining in Syndicate at 4 am before the raid on Cloud Ring with Goonfleet with Remedial and KIA Tolon leading the bees... Miss y'all
"Warp Drive Active."
relaxing sounds while mining an nice omber roid or blowing up a thief in missions :) or just hanging in station watching the ship rotating. love eve
