Hey just and FYI to anyone else installing this unit. You don’t need to cut/break the circuit board. What you will need to do is take off the back black metal cover that is blocking the circuit board from laying flat. The middle buttons still don’t work with that being installed correctly though. Glad you found the way to get the volumes to work though big help !!
I had the exact same problem with that circuit board not fitting and I thought about cutting it but didn’t want to ruin anything!!! Thank you so much man
Did you get them steering wheel buttons working? I'm tryna use the key1/key2 wires but nobody seems to know where they hook up to. Everything else works for me though. Edit: Both the center volume control and the steering wheel buttons work once I set up the canbus on the head unit. Also if you're coming from the sync2 tiny screen, there is a $10 adapter you'll need if it's not included with your kit. It's called sync 2 to sync 3 camera adapter. It plugs into the old screen plug and gives you an RCA to use for the aftermarket unit. It also retains your camera lines and trajectory lines when turning the wheel
Hey. I have the small 4 inch Screen with a small Plug on the Backside. The Adapter you Said has a big wide Plug. Also it has a chinch female on the Adapter, on the Radio cable is also a female Plug so i would Not be able to Plug it in. What Adapter has you bought? And my Second question, where do you Connect the Key 1 / 2 cable? Sorry for my Bad english, i am German 😅
I’ve heard that you need a sync 2 to sync 3 adapter to make it work and I read on a website that it needs an aftermarket camera to make it work. I haven’t tried either option
The units have the reverse camera wiring normally, but if they don't you can also try the Ford Transit reverse camera retention cable, it worked for me. The part # is Axxess AXSWCH-FD1 / AX-FDSYNC-SWC, around $20 canadian@@banthony217
@banthony217 I have tried every possible protocol setting and canbus setting , car settings and come to find out the unit keeps frying my climate control module fuse which explains the A/C not working.
