Finally something pretty to do with an endless supply. I almost got excited that it could be a bird toy but not with hot glue or any other glue and no paint. But leaving them brown and white would be pretty for a country feel or paint them white for a natural look. Maybe sprinkle a tiny bit of clear glitter on them. Thank you for the idea!

My problem is, on the inside of my toilet rolls it has 'Quilton loves your bum' , so maybe mine will need some paint. Great idea though..

I DISCOVERED SOMETHING ABOUT SNOWFLAKES WHEN I WAS AN OVER THE ROAD TRUCK DRIVER. "EVERY TIME IT SNOWS THE SNOWFLAKES ARE DIFFERENT EACH SNOWSTORM HAS ITS OWN UNIQUE SNOWFLAKE DESIGN, ALL THE FLAKES IN THAT SNOWSTORM ARE EXACTLY ALIKE. THE NEXT SNOW STORM WILL HAVE ITS OWN FLAKE DESUGN. A SNOW STORM STARTED IN SALT LAKE CITY JUST AS I WAS HEADING EAST ON I-84. I GOT AHEAD OF THE STORM AND WAS IN LARAMIE WYOMING WHERE I STOPPED FOR THE NIGHT. THAT SNOW STORM CAUGHT UP TO ME THERE ABOUT 6 HOURS LATER. THE DESIGN OF THE FLAKES WERE IDENTICAL TO THE ONES AT SALT LAKE CITY. THAT STORM ENDED WAY EAST IN NEBRASKA. THE NEXT SNOW STORM I WAS IN WAS SEVERAL DAYS LATER "DOWN IN DENVER COLORADO. AND THE SNOWFLAKES WERE DIFFERENT THAN THAT OTHER STORM. AND THEY WERE ALL IDENTICAL ALL DAY UNTIL THAT STORM ENDED THE NEXT DAY." I HAVE NEVER SEEN A SINGLE SNOW STORM THAT HAD THE SAME SNOWFLAKE DESIGN AS ANOTHER STORM ONE IN 25 YEARS. WEAR A BLACK JACKET SO YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF. BUT THE FLAKE MUST BE JUST ONE NOT A BUNCH STUCK TOGETHER.

Yeah it is...or for an especially hot day in the middle of October and it continues to feel like a Very Hot summer day. 😣😓 Me? I'm praying for rain...or at least overcast days. 92° in the final days of October are taxing, which is why I Love these crafts. Makes me feel like I can almost see Rudolph's shiny red nose and cooler days and nights. DIY winter crafts to the rescue. 😄

If you want to use these on a door wreath that receives outdoor exposure, spray with ModPodge after manipulating into the star shape and spray or brush painted. Meaning seal with ModPodge *after* painting.
They make a super awesome decoration on unpainted grapevine wreaths for the organic woodsy appearance, or, paint the wreath and the stars as desired.
Also I use a hair dryer on low heart to warm the cardboard as I work with each bend and use the handle part of an artists brush to help roll that edge much easier. It really is worth the effort of using that rolling technique, and especially if you suffer from pain in the fingers. Cardboard is compressed paper made from wood fibers. Heat will soften your bending so much and make it easier and less painful. Heat warps wood before it reaches the burn phase.

Spray them with some stick and stay and sprinkle glitter on them. Great to hang from my daughter‘s kindergarten class room ceiling.

Nice upcycle! With a light bit of clear (or silver on one side, gold and/or iced blue on other side) spray lacquer applied before the folding step, and maybe a bit of glitter afterwards, these may last more than one season!
Thanks so much for sharing .. I may start spritzing my used rolls with a bit of 91% alcohol and setting them aside to upcycle for this Christmas' window display!

I'm going to make these with the grandkids for Christmas decorations. I think I'll try lightly spray painting them with a solid color like white and very light blue and then add some glitter to make them shine.

I just remembered this! I saw you can do this with copying paper! They did this at a Library near me & since they were white, didn’t have to paint them & hung them from the ceiling! It looked beautiful! They used clear tape! And 8 inches! 😊🌹

Sounds beautiful. But this video is to reuse/recycle toilet paper empty rolls. Trying to reduce waste.
@@chelyhappy7991 I found a stack of A4 paper on the photocopier at work that had random bits of code printed on it and was going to be thrown in the bin. I've rescued it and will use it for this project. I think any paper/card that would otherwise be thown out is legitimate. Might even use cereal boxes etc.😃

I have so many precious Christmas cards sent from friends and family. This would be a wonderful way to honor them on a Christmas tree. Another idea would be to make one from a friend or family and attach it to a gift that you're going to give them. With this option, you'll not have to worry about storage and it also whittles down that pile of saved cards you've been saving.
