There was really no need to alter the sections of the IPC. 2. Laws that give excessive power to the executive are more likely to be misused for personal benefit and in our country they actually incentivise corrupt practices. 3 A lawyer has commented that in a country where the poor struggle for employment and daily subsistence and have no smart phones and ignorant of the new technology, these laws have provided a way for their exploitation thru threats of long jail terms. 3.There is also the fear of the selective application of law that can be misused by the ruling party ( not just this one but a future party also ) against their perceived and imagined opponents. The current ruling combine must consider this aspect, that they may also face the same consequences. It reflects the short sighted approach followed to change the laws in the fond hope of retaining power for all time to come.
पहले क़ानून था कि निर्दोष को सजा नहीं होनी चाहिये, चाहे सबूतों के अभाव में कितने भी गुनहगार छूट जायें। लेकिन अब यह है कि पुलिस के हाथ में ही सब कुछ कर दिया गया है और जिसपर कोई केस बन गया उसको कड़ी सजा मिलेगी ही, चाहे वह कितना भी निर्दोष क्यों न हो। हो सकता है कि कल इसकी लपेट में यह क़ानून बनाने और स्पोर्ट करने वाले भी आ जायें।

This Criminal Law is meant for opposition party.
How could it be termed as the new laws, when 90+% of the previous sections are retained as it is but in different sequences, with ofcourse some add ons & deletions !?
At best it could be teamed as the "Old wine in the new bottles with new labels and with some addition & subtraction" and that is that. Needless to say, with HINDIKARAN of the names of the Acts, which was again useless & worthless act, which are at best be termed as "new labels".
This is the actual fact about the so-called new criminal laws by Modi Sarkar 2.0, implemented by NDA 3.0 led by the same FAILED Prime Minister.
These people, the incumbent lots in power today, have actually put a spoke into the Running Wheel of the Criminal Justice Delivery System without application of their minds, especially the socio-legal minds.
This is definitely not the way of implementing Rule of Law in the country.
What all they have done or not done to get these laws implemented are secondary aspect, but their propagated primary objective was to provide something better than the before.
But, the FAILED Prime Minister Narendra Modi & his equally FAILED Modi Sarkar has FAILED herein as well in providing the better than before laws to this country.

2006 से आजतक सुप्रीम कोर्ट का आदेश का अनुपालना नहीं हुआ, सभी पार्टी की सरकार आई गयी लेकिन कोई पुलिस रिफार्म नहीं हुआ ना होगा। 85 % अपराधी ही सांसद बन कर बैठा है संसद में वो कभी कानून बनने नहीं देगा जिससे देश का अपराध खत्म हो।

अंग्रेजों के जमाने का कानून वकीलों की फीस बहुत बढ़ाता था क्योंकि यह तारीख को तारीख को बढ़ावा देता था। इसका अर्थ यह है के वकीलों की फीस निरंतर बढ़ती जाती थी। मुकदमे को लंबा करने का यह दुष्परिणाम था। इसलिए निहित स्वार्थ वकीलों ने तो इसका विरोध करना ही था।
जब कानून बदलने की प्रक्रिया चल रही थी, तब क्या यह निहित स्वार्थीसब लोग दोनों आंखें और दोनों कान बंद करके सो रहे थे। बहुत गलत बात है यह।
