It looked more like an energy dagger than a sword, which we know exist in Halo Reach used by Elites (in-game). Jackals have always been long range fighters, I think I would have liked to see a Skirmisher wielding it instead since they are agile and use hit and run tactics to get up close.
Yeah they use the energy cutlass but the design was too close to the Sangheli energy sword. There were parts of the show I enjoyed but the writers didn't distinguish enough the differences between the 2 weapons. So much wrong with the show. They went too far too fast. They had Chief remove his helmet too soon instead of making it a big reveal like they did in mandalorian. They humanized his too soon when that would have been cool to explore over time. Like in Halo 4 when Cortana says "promise me you'll figure out which one of us is the machine" but they just put it out there in season 1. I get the need to have a character for the audience to relate to, which is why I would have had less UNSC involvement and had Chief play off a recruit or cadet like in Forward unto dawn. You relate to a fearful soldier then over time the soldier hardens to the world he's been forced in to and Chief becomes more human at the same time. Just me. I gave up hope after season 1 of the show
Its not an energy sword. It's a large sliver of the crystals that needlers fire. Its called an energy cutlass and they're nasty af. They basically stab you, snap off the blade and it explodes. Johnson almsot died to one if I recall.
I always found the Phatom explosion really funny, because it's so abrupt and not drawn out, like the banshee doesn't hit it and the ship stays in the air for a moment or 2 before one of the turbines or something explode causing it to crash, the ship literally gets fucking bodied by the banshee that the chief is using as a fucking hand glider in under a second
@Gunnar Johnson lmao i mean yeah but the way he had a braided beard was either atriox himself or a nod to atriox. This is a new timeline after all, they can get pretty wild.
Yeah Chief crashing that Banshee into a Phantom was probably one of the dumbest things I've seen. He would have easily died doing that and the fact that he didn't just made it unrealistic, and yes I'm aware this is a sci-fi show with aliens, super soldiers, and armor that enhances super soldiers even further, but in Halo lore/logic, he would have died.
Wont you just appréciante chat you tôt here spoiled child, i remind you he s not a simple human or spartan, hes the master chief and he did worst in the games. Thats a hypocritical behavior like a lot of people who spit on the tu show
@@yohanlkm9830 Hm, actually he didn't do worst in the games, he did much better in the games and books. Though this guy in the show isn't actually Master Chief. Jackal energy swords are not bullshit, they were not in games but are in the books.
kind of makes sense for a jackal to use a sword since those fuckers are agile and carrying a shield
Jackals with their energy cutlass in the game would be OP and annoying af lol

Still BS.
Jackals have energy swords in the books
@Scuba Trooper Halo: Contact Harvest
@Scuba Trooper It's called the Energy Cutlass. Mainly used by the Kig-Yar
It’s an energy cutlass and it’s similar to the arm blades the elites used in reach
Good for the books.

Chief fragging that Grunt in the head never gets old
We were on the verge of greatness, we were this close.
Yeah if only they stuck to the game and hid his face and kept to it then yeah I would’ve prolly bought the series and it would have lasted for years.
