Before she retired, my wife was flying back and forth from SD to Europe for work constantly. The number of miles she racked up on BA allowed me to fly over to visit her from time to time. Usually business class but more than a few times I flew from SD to LHR in first class on those 747s that flew directly from SD to LHR. I love terminal 5 but you know you've hit the jackpot when you get to use the Concorde Lounge in T5. Seen so many british movie stars in that lounge.
This brings back memories! I went through there the first time in March 2024. Most people hang out in that main area when you come down the escalator. I found out if you go to the end lounge it's lots less crowded.
This is amazing chris for someone like myaelf whos 4 hours away from london and i mever even been inside the Heathrow airport. I so needed to see this and yoir feom LA you did an amazing job showing us around. Yoir channel ahould be getting millions of subscribers bit a thousands but im sure that day eill come too 😊
Hi Chris. Wonderful walking tour of Terminal 5 at London Heathrow. Very unique way of boarding. I like to see where my gate is so I know.how far and how long I can explore the airport, especially if I haven't been there before. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Hey, you are in my neck of the woods! I was just watching one of your Las Vegas videos this afternoon- the one where you were showing all the latest food prices. I've been watching your channel for years lol. How long are you in London for?
I find the Heathrow Terminals not to have many (if any) cheap food options. I fly from Heathrow few times year and I tend to bring food with me instead of purchasing it at the airport. For long haul flight I like the foods and snacks provided on the plane by British Airways.
Thanks Chris I love to see an airport I will be going to. Not sure if you have this information? How long would it take to get to walk to get the tube into London at the airport? I would be coming from Toronto Canada get through security then someone said its a half hour walk to get the tube/train to the city. That sounds long for old people with suitcases with knee replacments lol maybe we should take a cab to the city? Is getting to the cab area quicker?
Cab will cost you about £100 and depending on what time you arrive could take a while (traffic can be awful). The walk to the tube is 15 minutes max. Avoid the heathrow express, its a rip off. Get the Elizabeth line (tube line) that will take you into central London in about 35 minutes
Glad to see Tommy gave you a good answer.. for what it's worth with a 5 year old and a bunch of luggage we usually just suck up the Cost and take a Cab.

@@AndyKing1963 Surprised to hear that. A new airport is supposed to have incorporated the learnings from the past. LHRs inter terminal bus transfers and security are the worst.

Heathrow isn't perfect by a long shot of course, but I miss the old airport in Berlin.
Depends on the time tbh. I have been here when it was super busy but i found it enjoyable. Minimal stresses. People are so lovely and cheery, generally Jolly. It was a good energy boost tbh. It made me feel ecstatic haha. Best mood ever. I have also been there with hardly anyone around. It was a nice as well. No matter what, it is my favourite airport. I love the vibes 🙌🙌🙌💕💕💕

Oooh... I bet the Concorde lounge is nice!
I love t5 Heathrow , so much to do great restaurants etc it’s all personal experiences but for us superb

❤❤loved your video. Hope to get to UK in a few years time
This terminal looks really nice! I have not flown in and out of this terminal yet when I have gone over to the UK.
It really is!
Really enjoying your airport tours. I’ll be flying to London again in May. Can’t wait!
Sweet!
Awesome! Love this! ❤❤❤

Thanks James!
Was just here for about 5 hours! actually wasn't so bad as I was extremely hot and tired. Lots of accessible amenities
There's a reason why Chris went to T5,, have you seen the other terminals?

5 days in London on this trip
So many good shops at T5. My flight always on T2 and it’s sooo bad. Very long walk and nothing to buy.
스타벅스 멋지네요~^^
This is such a big tourist trap of all the shops before you get to the gate... And there is no choice to avoid them.... It won't fool me!

We have a whopping 219 days of No sunshine per year. A good sense of humour's a strong coping mechanism ... that's why we Brits are witty as fuk.
I lived there for some years and the weather never bothered me tbh. I do absolutely love the sun, but i also enjoy gloominess and cozy af vibes 😌😌😌😌🥰

This airport is too crowded. Not a good experience for travelers. Only saving grace is presence of some good food joints. I love your videos.
Berlin's new airport is even worse
