Vintage bags are also a great beginner bag! Usually made out of like pure leather so they hold up extremely well! Plus comes with some wear already so it's less worrisome for a first time luxury owner :)

I’m so tired of seeing the neverfull everywhere. People in my town act like it’s the only luxury bag you can get.
I don’t own any high end bags, but I admire them from far and dream. 😂 For me if I were to get one, my first one would be either the Palm Springs Mini or something from Dior. I kind of like the Saddle bag.

I don't know why the LV Speedy B is always recommended for a first luxury buy...especially when the suggester always say they haven't used theirs for years 😂 The WoC (black cav silver HW) is one of my most used bags.

I did buy speedy b and i use it pretty often(my third lv bag) and when i was debating to get that or alma bb a lot of people told me ohh get speedy i have it and i rarely use but i love it 😂
The speedy b is a good first bag. Most people (like me) got one as a teenager and have since grown their collection so that’s why they don’t use it as much anymore. I retired mine to a travel bag, still useful and super hard- wearing!
Cassie you rock the fendi baguette like no other!! Also loving the frequent uploads. LV canvas is literally indestructible. Bought myself a neverfull when I was 17 for a holiday and someone cut a tiny slit in the canvas. I've had a bloody slit in the bag for 5 years and she still looks new loools

So my first bag was a Pallas BB purchased in Paris last summer in the Champs-Élysées store. What an amazing experience. I really didn’t know what I wanted. I knew I wanted monogram and cross body. Was so much fun. We went to Vendome store too... I love the bag and have since bought another LV as well. This luxury handbag thing is contagious! 👜♥️

Good list, I like the Gucci twist at the end! I requested the Prada diagramme in green for my birthday. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't come with gold Hardwear but I think it makes it easier to wear as a more everyday bag.

Yes, and now the LV multi pouchette can be personalized. My first was the Alma. My father got me obsessed with bags. As a artist, he'd scour second hand stores. He paid $.50 usd. My first full price item was a Coach circle bag, then the pouchette, then the Prada.If it doesn't make you feel fabulous, walk on. There are so many options out there. Have fun

I have the LV multi Pouchette actually 2 green and pink before you could just buy the strap. Love them! Fendi is my next to look at!! I love buy what you love!! Loved this! My first designer bag was a vintage Dior clutch from the 80's, and I love that bag! Not a bag I use daily, but a bag that I treasure. Totally agree with you when it comes to loving the bag you are getting. Now I collect vintage Dior (have a few, but not that many), and I adore all of them. Most used bag are btw LV Speedy 25 in black leather and Alma BB in epi leather. Bags are fun, and should just be enjoyed :)

My first Gucci was the that exact one except with the Gold GG Bees imprint. I absolutely love it!! I realize there are a lot of nice bags from Gucci but still nothing compares to how perfect this bag is! Although, the quality control at Gucci needs some help. The first bag I had received had bees that were not completely imprinted and I returned it for another and that one was perfect. Make sure you’re evaluating your bags thoroughly before use ladies n gents. I Love the LV MPA also!

Great picks! I too agree with the Chanel WOC; black caviar with ghw. Yes, it is not going to fit a whole lot. But it will hold the bare essentials, and look FABULOUS doing it. It can go from special occasion to t-shirt and jeans. And it is a fabulous travel and sightseeing bag because it can be worn crossbody and flat to the front of your body. I am actually wearing it in my profile picture (at the Louvre with my son last spring).

Great recommendations! The LV MPA is such an awesome bag for traveling (ease of finding passport and I-phone) and sleeping pills if needed for those long 13-14 hour flights! And small enough to throw in the big carry on/duffel bag. I will consider the Gucci padlock too when I’m looking again, in addition to many of your other lovely suggestions. 😊

I just got an insert for my Chanel WOC from Etsy. It’s a small piece of plastic that sits in the base. Makes the bag seem so much roomier!

I know you aren’t really into celine bags but my first was the celine nano belt bag and I have nothing but good things to say about her! She’s the perfect size for all my necessities and then some, she is a crossbody and has a little top handle and goes with everything! Plus the pebbled leather is fairly hard wearing

YSL pieces, and especially bags, need more shout-outs in general. They got the quality, the design, the user-friendliness and the accessibility. As for the LV MPA, I actually agree 100%. Out of all the trendy bags, it's the one that can be used for years because of the detachable pieces.

Love ur list! I love the Dior Montaigne...been eyeing for quite a while now, and I love that it has a back pocket! I’ve been hesitant Bcs Dior always seems to discontinue their bags, except the Lady Dior and recently the saddle. Have a Miss Dior that is beautiful but slightly dated now. What’s your opinion on the Montaigne’s longevity? Thanks 😊

I love the LV MPA!! I admit when I first saw it, I was like, what is going on here?? Then I kept going back to it & finally bought it. It's the perfect bag for travel, I can use each one as a separate pouch in my carry on, or just pack it as my purse. While I know the Neverfull is EVERYWHERE, I'm not gonna stop using it as my carry on personal item because it's convenient as hell & ALL my stuff remains easily at my fingertips during flights. Plus, my Beis seat back organizer fits perfectly inside it so I can just toss it in and go after landing. Don't @me! 😂

Great recommendations Cass, but I gotta play devil's advocate like a white frat boy 🤣🤣 the Givenchy antigona the small 1 is a great piece, I love its ugly weird shape lol it's a great first bag and i feel so is the CD saddle bag. You can have it as a small easy bag or add the huge strap for a cross body daring moment i absolutely love it.

I think the reason so many people go for the neverfull and speedy is because regardless of your body shape and size it always looks good. Where some of the other bags with chains and things are more a type of style that doesnt fit everyone
