It's not everyday we get to say we are visiting all 4 Disneyland parks on a trip to Asia. Back in September 2018, after knocking out Hong Kong and Shanghai Disneylands we were on our way to Tokyo Disney, the first Disney park ever built outside of the US in 1983. We also visited Disney Sea which opened in 2001. When we visited Tokyo Disney in 2018, we were among the other nearly 18 million people that visited the park that year making it the third largest theme park behind the Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland in California.
The most notable feature of main street in the World Bazaar is the Victorian conservatory roof to protect visitors from the Japanese elements outside which makes this park extra unique. With 4 eateries including club 33, Tokyo DIsney has the most restaurants on Main street in the world. With center street running through main street, the world bazaar has more of its own city like feel to it and is much more dynamic than a singular street that the other Disney parks have.
Our lunch on this flight from Shanghai to Seoul was eggplant with sliced red and greed peppers, rice, and cucumbers. Dessert was a chocolate muffin and a sliced apple with what appears to be potato salad.
As we descend into Tokyo, signs of the ominous Typhoon Trami appear with the fog
Booking a room at the DisneySea Mira Costa hotel requires extra planning. In a lot of cases, rooms sell out 5 months in advance. You'll want to check dates exactly 5 months out every morning at 11am Tokyo time if you'll have a chance of booking a room there. They usually sell out within minutes of becoming available for obvious reasons. They range in prices between $550 to well over $2500 a night depending on the kind of room and date of the year you are planning on visiting. What do you guys think? Would you pay for a stay here? Leave a comment below to let me know.
Some of the politically correct changes made to the Pirates ride at Disneyland are left unaltered at Tokyo Disneyland. It’s like going back in time to what the ride used to be like when it was more magical. The Pirates auction for a wench is still here. Also, the male pirates are still chasing the women here. The updated version in California shows the women chasing after the food held by the male pirates.

The Western River Railroad differs from other Disney railroad attractions in that it does not circle the whole park. Unlike other Disneyland parks, this railroad serves no functional purpose of transferring passengers to other lands in the park. You get on and off at the same location. At the time that the Western River Railroad was opened, Japanese rail regulations required that any railway line with more than one stop be subject to the same rules as any other conventional rail line, which included running on a timetable and collecting fares. To this day, the Western River Railroad continues to have no stops in order to avoid being forced to charge fares and to allow the use of passenger cars that are not fully enclosed, which would not be allowed otherwise.[2]

Visiting Tokyo Disneyland in 2018 was the perfect time to go despite the crowds. Loved enjoying a crowded experience with no worries about it.

This is fascinating. What a bizarre theme park, and the treatment of animals is unsettling.

I'm glad you got as much footage as you did during the short time you had in the park. I'm curious, what is the general attitude toward American tourists in Zhuhai ?

Anywhere you go in Mainland China you will get stares when you are a westerner. It kinda makes you feel like you are in a zoo sometimes when you are stared at like this but it is also kinda funny at the same time. While it didn't happen inside the theme park, you will often get asked to have pictures taken with others because they want to show their friends and family they met a westerner.
