Ideas:
1) Human could try to survive on their own, but fail miserably and he keeps following them and trying still trying to convince them to let him protect and take care of them until they finally give in
2) Human doesn’t say anything else besides name and it gets too dark so he brings them back to his den while they still don’t protest. In the den human continues to stay quiet while he’s trying to get closer to them. Human eventually calms down and gets used to the situation and the fact that they don’t have any other options then this besides death by the island, but they’ve also gotten used to not saying anything and decided to stick to that just because lol
3) As it gets darker the other creatures on the island that want to kill the human come out, and he’s still acting protective and as a safe place leading to their fear getting more directed toward the island and they end up clinging to him for help

After taking a second to calm down and realize he isnt gonna hurt me, I'd be excited to be able to touch a giant snake. I really like them but they've always been kinda a forbidden fruit for me. I'd also explain what albino is (which he is), what being yandere means (again, he's that too), ask the difference between lamia and naga (as I've heard lamias are born as only female while nagas are born both genders), and just enjoy talking with him. I'm loving everything about this.
