Your whole presentation is awesome! Great job! I'm new to Macrame and just how you are showing the beginning and the lay out helps to me learn the foundation of how its done! Love it! Going to make this today and share! LOL I love teaching making things with meaning. Thank you!
Beautiful bracelet - you are very talented. Definitely not easy or for beginner. I am having a hard time figuring out which cord goes on top/bottom, or sometimes the knot itself. I hope I can finish it without too many mistakes. Any chance you could edit it with a bit more details about which cord goes on top, which direction to make the knot, etc?
I agree completely. While I appreciate tutorials like this, and the ladies who attempt to make a living off You Tube, I sure wish she'd added much...much more detail...qnd less frustrating notes. Like, from the very beginning, she says fold 150 cm cord in half. But seconds before when she listed materials needed, it clearly states 2 - 160cm cords and 1 - 120cm cord. Where is the 150cm cord at in her materials list? Frustrating and had you confused from the start.
Zoom in, honey. Use your two fingers on the screen. Then you can see it up-close. You can slow down the video too. Use the settings button on the upper right corner.
Made this today for the first time. I'm a beginner and so it took me about 5 hours. I found the length of the 2 shorter cords were way too short so I had to finish it much shorter so if I make t again I'll keep them the same length as the others. Other than that it was a really clear tutorial and I love my new bracelet!! On a macrame note, I have dipped my toe into macrame but I've not had time to practice much. Until I understand the knots, what they look like and the shapes they create, I won't be able to do the wonderful things I see other people doing, so for me it will be practice, practice, practice whenever I can!
When you fast forward to your finished product to add the 6mm bead, you have 16 of the 4mm beads incorporated into your bracelet. I think that may be where a lot of people are finding that the bracelet is coming out too short?
Great video! One question though- The supply list shows 2X160cm and 1X120cm, but the first step says to fold the 150cm cord in half. Is one of them a typo?
Thx. Great job. 👌 But the music is very irritating. Had to mute. I have lots of boxes of beads, but the more precious ones I wish to use for this bracelet have smaller holes. Too small for the thread, alas.
Servane
Beyond difficult, I've been doing macrame for a year and this is stressing me out. Not clear enough, beautiful work but you're crossing nd uncrossing and knotting in a way that undoes th cross you did and it makes no sense but seems wayyyyy too confusing
I followed this tutorial. I cut the cord 120cm. However the bracelet was not enought o go around the whole wrist as the cord was short and I needed to finish the bracelet. At the beginning of the video refers 120cm. After, 150cm. I thought it was a mistake of writing ahah, so I cut 120cm. So, whoever wants to make this bracelet cut the cord 150cm.
It really helps to have a board you can pin them to so you can arrange them out. If I'm trying to tie anything in just my hands I will confuse them every time too
@@sandieross2923 no problem, if you search for "macrame board" you can get them with all the pins, stands and etc that you'd ever need very cheaply online
I have a small question😅 I can't find 1 mm waxed cord anywhere! I only found 0.8 mm, is it okay? And if yes, should I buy smaller beads? Thank you so so much!!❤
You can make the bracelet with 0.8mm thread and you don't need smaller beads. If both threads do not pass through the bead hole, only pass one thread through the hole. If you don't understand, watch this video in this video the bead hole is small and I only passed one thread through the bead hole ua-cam.com/video/v58nGKDe5Gs/v-deo.htmlsi=47ruXU2UZ1lymj9U
Dommage
It was too hard to follow and know what thread is on top or bottom You would better do it slower and show your hands' movement more obvious ,as it is posted as a "simple" bracelet !

@@BeyondTheJordan I just came here to say that also ... wasting cord is what I'm doing.

Yes
It is a typo
Fold the 120 cm rope in half😊
Que fio é esse?❤
So do you use 2x 160, 2x 120 and 1x 150 cord at the start right?….Thanks.

Grazie. Buon pomeriggio.

hello, thanks for teaching this. Could you possibly use beads of a different shape? thanks
yes it should work :)

Do us all a favor and put the instructions in a pdf. This is impossible for most beginners to follow without going cross eyed.
beautiful bracelet
Agreed. Some audio explanation would have been helpful.
Can someone please tell me where to get beads like this?? 6mm but 2 1mm threads fit through seems to be impossible
You can ream your beads to make them bigger. Look up a bead reamer. They have manual and electric bead reamers.

What description do I use to order the beads? I cannot find any with a big enough hole for 2 threads to pass thru.
You just have to compare the size of your thread and the bead hole. .5mm thread or smaller will pass twice through a 1mm hole or bigger, for instance
I am desperate to learn how to make macrame bracelets but I’m finding it so hard to know which thread is Which. Can you recommend a book for me
I don't know any book that I can introduce, watch these two videos, they are beginner's training

Macrame School is online here too. I use this and them.

What is that you’re using to pin your macramé to?
Anything similar to a sturdy cork board will work

These looks so good 😍 Can I use 8mm beads? I don’t have any other brads. Thank you for sharing!
The 8 mm bead is not suitable for this bracelet
Hi, just wondering if you had any videos for using 8mm beads?
There's no reason you couldn't use bigger beads, you'd just need a LOT longer cord

@sainabaft1 thank you so much!! I tried doing the bracelet and it's not easy as it looks 😅 I will try again!
I wonder if it would be possible to make this design in 2 thread colors instead of just one?
Since you're using 3 separate lengths of cord you could use up to 3 colors
Preciosa ❤
Very nice
I was wondering what kind of string you are using, I am using 0.08 string and it will not go thru the 4mm beads it will go thru 6mm but not 4mm
I use flat waxed yarn with a thickness of 1 mm and a 4 mm bead with a large hole.
Which material is this and where we can get it mam 🤔
I think the lady was Nolan
🥰🥰🥰
What?????
This does not look like it’s for a beginner. And the dark threads makes it difficult to follow.
Thank you for your comments. I try to use bright threads in my videos
Yes, the music is very irritating but I just turn the sound off.
Are there any written instructions please that I could print out?
List of items says 2 cords 160cm and 1 cord 120cm. Then you start by saying use the 150cm cord. ?? No time for confusion...good day
Actually the worse video ever for beginners… hard to see anything, better try different channel
