That was fast as hell with the Burridge to GLD graphic. I'd LOVE a manufacturer cup in the same way college fields the sport of tennis. It'd be a lot of fun, especially at a crazy venue like Eagles Crossing. Make the manufacturers put in a dollar amount that gets split to sponsor the event and to payout. And this event SHOULD have the biggest flymart of the year without a question.
until there is a PUBLIC official announcement, this is just STILL pure speculation on your part. I bet that Ricky is actually going to end up at Prodigy. we still all have to wait and see what happens over the next couple weeks.
Ricky for sure did his part. The guy is always in contention. They gave him the lamest looking discs I’ve ever seen. Hope there’s an outside chance he comes back to Innova
Ricky was also known to sell more disc personally than most players but nobody wants a 2 dollar raider or a 30 dollar overstable 11 speed. The raptor eye felon was the only DD disc Ricky had to push
On paper, it just doesn't make sense to me. Discraft wouldn't give Ricky $1mil a year. Why would Ricky want to go to the same company as McBeth...win more and make less? It just doesn't seem like something that would work. That would be a lot of pride-swallowing.
Yah.. Ricky is not going to discraft, at least not on the team... he might go the climo route and have his own line manufactured by discraft. But he will not be on the team with Paul.. no way.
Discraft is getting greedy, they are gonna start having issues if they add Ricky on top of Ezra and the other pro they already have… too many pros pushing the same discs. Unless they can bust out a bunch of new molds this year.
Make a Halo sockibot destroyer or an ESP Jawbreaker Sockibot nuke. Have the brand hype it up extensively with great marketing and then make it readily available for retailers to buy with plenty in stock. Set a release date for all retailers worldwide, let the stores hype the product to do some of the heavy lifting for the brands building up to the release date, and boom sales for that brand go through the roof. Almost all of the big brands do this. Innova did this with the sockibot destroyer and people still want them years later. Unfortunately, I don't believe DD did this well. As example they made the general, but didn't market it that well, we found out about the new disc (General) as he was throwing it, not prior to any major marketing. The stamp was just a reused lineup of his old discs which was also nothing special. Lastly DD didn't make it readily available for retailers to buy. As soon as order forms went out, they were sold out within the day and stock was sold out for months after. Then DD proceeded to keep their reserve stock to put on their website to sell directly. Ricky will sell out of any disc that has his name on it if he gets the right platform to do it. He is not to blame here nor is Kona. Just stating that I used Innova and Discraft as a reference does not mean I think that's where he is going. Although they are both a likely chance, more so Discraft than Innova.
About the Brodie/Paul thing, something also happened between Brodie and the former co-owner of Foundation, Zac Biscardi. I don't know anything about what happened between them, but all I know is that Zac started his own UA-cam channel (which eventually fell apart) and that he stated in one of his videos that he had to wait a couple of months to film content because his lawyer advised him to. I also heard somewhere that Paul knew that Zac was going to do something, and was in a position to intervein, but didn't. All this to say, this is just stuff that I heard.
