Another unit saved from going to landfill and (hopefully) a happy customer.
Not an expensive repair bill, quick and easy fix, no new parts needed either. A win-win situation all-round. 😎👍
Thank You NorCal. I have learned alot about these vcr/dvd recorders. I have worked on these unit's. Currently i am repairing the RCA Ced video discs player's. So far at least 7 player's fully functional again. Thank You again for your service videos. Mike from Minnesota.
Great stuff as always. I would have never believed that a tiny amount of dust on the prism would cause the 7 second shutdown problem if I hadn't seen it in person. BTW my customer with the Magnavox 457MG9 has had it for a few weeks now and I haven't heard anything from him after I changed the rest of the caps. I think there were about 8-10 330uf and a couple of 100ufs. No news is good news, I suppose.
You will always have my like at the first place .. because I love your repairing..
I was hoping to see the end of that car chase! Anyways, great video!
This video was so helpful. I have the same model that was doing the same thing. Works great now! Thank you
Thanks. Gave me an easy fix on another unit and saved it from the landfill.
Very informative Repair.
Smashing repair :-D
The fluid looked like baby oil that was spilt on the upside down vhs cassette maybe.
The things found in vcr's lol.
Wow, another customer wants to keep one of these functional, and willing to pay for it?
:o)❤
so I have a player that just makes a ratcheting sound for a second and does not more the film to the head. its a Magnavox recorder kinda looking like that. whats wrong with that
Well, well, well. Funai, we meet again!
