THATS HOW YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO REACH THE HIGH AREAS IN THE BRAIN MAP AND THE FINAL MAP BEFORE YOU GOT THE FULLY POWERED SUIT!!!!! OH MY FCKING GOD! IT WAS DRIVING ME INSANE WHEN I WAS A KID FUUUUUUCKKK, it was driving me mad that i could not reach those places even with morph bombing and i was searching everywhere to have a way to get the fully powered suit early so i could space jump, but i just couldnt find it, it has been over 18 years since i first played that game and fuck me a childhood mystery has just been solved for me thank you!
From what I've seen, a lot of runners use the Game Boy Player and a special Hori controller shaped like a SNES/Super Famicom controller. It makes everything a lot easier. There are also people who just play on emulator and use either a modern controller or a retro style controller.
Go back towards the wall immediately after a successful wall jump and then do the input for a wall jump again. The timing is somewhat strict, but it isn't too difficult once you get the hang of it.
Holy cow thank you! This was driving me crazy! I knew it was possible but didn't know you had to press away from the wall before pressing jump

I feel the same way lol
Bro you suck at this game big time. You use the powergrip to escape the brain map area
it hit me at the end of the game, where you fall into an alarm trap. i knew that it was avoidable somehow.
watching speedrunners fly up walls is mind-boggling
how do you do it on such a tiny d-pad @_@
